It was a loose and I found most of them were loose and poorly finished. 3 - Walls: I was actually okay with this job and he was supposed to prep the wall for painting. After 3 coats of paint, the wall looks ugly due to poor or no prepping... I also paid him to build a fence, he acted like he was confident but he clearly lacked tools and knowledge. It was installed way too high and I told him it wasn't going to pass the permit inspection. He swore up and down this was okay and it failed... I still paid him and asked him to take the fence down but he ghosted me.

The first company that we contacted never showed up to look at the project. David from 3 Rivers not only visited the site soon after contact - 30 miles from his location and on a day which experienced such heavy rain that there was local flooding - but he emailed us a complete (reasonably priced) contract with photos the day after his visit. David showed up at the exact time and date designated for the work (unlike other experiences we've had with contractors), and over a few hours lifted 3 slabs totaling 20' wide to perfectly bridge the sloping road in front of our house with our level driveway (and cheerfully, btw). One of the slabs had to be lifted over 6" on one corner but only 2" on the opposite corner, while another slab only needed a 2" lift on one side and less than an inch on the other side. The end result is that the 3 slabs are now level with each other and have improved our curb appeal. David cleaned up thoroughly, and even emailed us a thank-you receipt from our driveway.
