They were also unbelievably prompt with editing and releasing our photos -- we could not believe how quickly everything was completed! Radek was wonderful throughout the entire process. He gave great direction during the shoot to make sure the photos turned out amazing while still feeling natural and comfortable. His knowledge of the area was also so helpful, and he helped us choose the perfect location for our ceremony. The photos turned out absolutely beautiful. They captured not only us, but also our family, the emotions of the ceremony, and all of the little moments that made the day unforgetable. We are forever grateful for the memories they captured and the effort and care they put into everything for us. Great communication, beautiful work, and an all-around wonderful experience. You truly cannot go wrong with them. Highly recommend!

Once on the beach she was such a pleasure to talk to just as a human being, and made taking pictures relaxing, she did such a great job with our two year old son (making him laugh) and me being pregnant (feeling comfortable in a see-thru flowy gown). She told me the pictures could take up to 2-3 weeks before we got them, and around week 4 I text her to make sure everything was okay, and the next day she sent us the pictures. I didn't want to to rush her because I did a lot of research on photographers and her aesthetic was so beautiful and worth waiting for, but was insanely relieved that all was good and gave us the pictures close to checking in. My only feedback to anyone working with Krystal is to give her the time she needs to do her job - it's worth every penny and minute! And when she delivered the pictures they were incredible. They turned out SO GOOD! I knew they'd be good but I still have no idea how she was able to capture some of the photos she did. These are priceless memories we get to keep forever thanks to her and I'm so grateful we were able to book Krystal for a maternity photoshoot. I will be contacting Krystal again for photos in the future for all our family events from here on. We love her work and want to say thank you!

From the very beginning, Krystal was incredibly responsive, kind, patient, and accommodating. When our travel plans changed a few weeks before our session, she effortlessly adjusted our time without any issue. During the session, Krystal made us feel completely comfortable--even though we're not natural "posers" or used to professional photos. We are absolutely in love with how our pictures turned out! The quality is incredible, and my husband was especially impressed that we received so many beautiful images to choose from. If you're considering photos while visiting Hawaii or need someone to capture a special occasion, family session, or couples shoot, we highly recommend Krystal. Thank you, Krystal, for capturing our 10-year anniversary trip so beautifully!

My husband and I got recommendation from a friend to use JJO Photographers for our wedding in…read moreHawaii last year. We are soooooo happy they were available for our destination wedding weekend and were our photographers. Weddings are expensive to plan and hiring JJO team was the best investment we made for this event. Firstly, working with JJ & Allison were just really easy and a lot of fun. The process of getting to know JJ & Allison (husband and wife team) was Hawaii chill and stress free. My husband likes to nerd out about cameras and photography and he knew right away that the team was seasoned photographers. The pricing was based on the # of hours they dedicate to your event -- and can be split across multiple days. We did a 9-hour session, 8 hours on the wedding day and 1 hour a few days later so we can take photos in nature and ended up with our favorite photos of all time -- many of them. We met the photographer for the first time a few days before the wedding and that was enough for us to communicate our vision for the photos, check out the venue (Cafe Julia), and go over the timeline for the day. Secondly, JJ & Allison are flexible, sensitive, and has a keen eye to details. Allison used to be in wedding coordination -- so she makes sure your hair and makeup and outfit looks great for every photo. JJ followed the men and Allison followed the ladies -- and it just felt like they were a part of the wedding party. They take pictures even when their eyes are not looking through the camera's viewfinder so they really just blend in with the party. And yet they somehow capture so many details from us getting ready, the decor, the venue, the Chinese Banquet, the downpour rain during our ceremony, the cocktail hours, the dancing.... from everything. Third, the photos were amazing! Just wow wow wow. We had over 1000+ photos and I love every single one. We debated a lot on whether it makes sense to spend more money on photographers or videographers -- and now I know, photographers. You watch your video once or twice, but JJO team's photos are on display at our home and your our bed. It's their photos people received for their thank you cards. It's their photo I see when on my phone. It's their photo that reflect on print the love I share with my husband, family and friends. I just wish we had asked them to make a physical wedding album for us. It's really hard to choose 80-100 photos to make a physical album when you love all the photos. JJ & Allison are a small duo team but a mighty and talented team. Hope you get a chance to book them. Next time, my partner and I go back to Hawaii, maybe for an anniversary or a family vacation, we are going to hit up JJ&Allison to take family photo.

The photos turned out even better than I imagined. She didn't just capture how everything looked - she captured how it felt. The love, the little in-between moments, the natural joy of the day... it's all there. And somehow, she made the already stunning Oahu backdrop look even more beautiful. Also, shoutout to her patience because the wind was aggressively fighting my bangs the entire time, and she handled it so seamlessly without ever making it feel stressful or rushed. Genuinely couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. If you're even considering booking her - do it. The quality of her work and the experience she creates are both so, so worth it!

I am the type of person wanting & needing to reach out to 3 - 4 companies for information/inquires for services. Same as anyone wanting services for roofing, painting, solar and AC for their home. I reached out to 2-3 photographers, I advised wanting a photo shoot at a park, no beaches, yes I know we will in Hawaii but everyone does a beach photo. First photographer didn't even respond to my online, email requests. I even called the phone number listed, left a message, no call back. Second photographer confirmed will not be a good fit for my request due to only does nature photography, so only beaches, hmmm, last I checked parks with trees is nature! Final photographer, Sky & Reef Photography -Tara Morenfeld with all the information I requested for. Reserved a Sunday morning date, Tara was on time and ready to go. Worked with the 1year old first, while baby is in a good mood! Worked with each individual ohana then entire ohana. I highly recommend Sky & Reef photography Tara Morenfeld for your next photo session! Again Tara is a professional and keeps her word on how to work the ohana!

I honestly don't like to write reviews but I felt like this one was warranted. Tara is very kind,…read morehospitable, and flexible. I appreciated she split our time with us between our actual wedding and before wedding shots. I understand everyone has "their own style" but some things were not about style. Granted, I know the Hawaiian sun is harsh, but as a photographer, you must understand lighting. The pre wedding photos we took down in the blowhole were good, but not great. None of the photos had any editing, and if there was any, I couldn't see where. She left nips in my dress there, and did not blur them. Horrible posing, and very few that I could actually show my family or friends. I was so embarrassed that as a woman she wouldn't understand modesty. Now, my wedding...there's the kicker. Half of my guests were facing the sun. She placed everyone in harsh sunlight, which created harsh shadows, and caused my guests eyes to be squinted or closed. I am not even a photographer, and I think I have enough common sense not to face people towards the sun. I don't understand why she did this. Very few photos I could use. I am having to learn photoshop because I am hoping to salvage some of these. I have so many harsh shadows and she washed everyone out, that I cant barely touch these up in Photoshop. Once the lighting is messed up, theres not much I can do to save the photo. She did not pay attention to detail and took pictures of us in a street where there were cars, street signs, ugly buildings, and structures in the background. I will never understand why she did this. I was really sad, It has taken me a year to return to my wedding photos and try to fix them. With so many tools in photoshop, even as a beginner, why not crop out the ugly telephone pole, street sign, or make the grass a little better? I live in Florida and this was our destination wedding. I paid her upfront and immediately, a year in advance (just about). The pictures she gave me look nothing like what I saw on her website or instagram. I was so disheartened. I am glad I did get a video from someone else. I paid so much less for an amazing video from someone else. If I could do it again, I would have paid someone else. It felt like she pointed and clicked with no rhyme or reason, and no retouching or editing was done of any kind. It's like she didn't care about what she was doing, or the quality of work. This was my wedding and almost all pictures have shadows, squinted faces, or eyes closed. Not acceptable for wedding photos. My friends and family's iPhone pictures actually turned out better. Please think long and hard, and really look before you pay someone for your wedding photos. You only have one wedding, don't hire a bad photographer who doesn't pay attention to details. Im sorry I have to leave this review, but its not okay to pay that amount of money for a once in a lifetime event for it to be so sloppy. Again, this is not an attack on her personally, but the work was just not there. you can see some of where I tried to fix attached. The before on the left hand side and the right the after. Mind you these are some of the best ones. There are way worse ones with harsh shadows and eyes.
