I phoned to ask 10 days later if a follow-up call is standard and maybe this slipped through the cracks and was a mistake? Nope, no mistake. They don't follow up on Saturdays bc the doctors aren't in the office. Seems like Sunday, Mon, Tues, Wed, Th, and Friday they must just not care. I am not needy or even demanding- but a text follow-up is the baseline. SHAMEFUL practice. Taking my pooch to another practice. You might not miss my dog, but maybe after reading this, you may reconsider your office protocols so other families feel like they have a reliable, concerned vet. I sure didn't.

We called them in a panic on a Monday morning and they said wait until the afternoon. We didn't realize she had so little time left. I will forever hate them just for that. Location is not good, nor are hours. Hard to get help, staff will be standing around and ignoring while you wait. They require you to purchase prescriptions only from them, even though you could save a fortune getting them anywhere else. They claim they don't trust any pharmacy, even Costco. Ridiculous. Only go here if you have no other option. Avoid if it's urgent.

I was referred to her office with my (then) 7 year old Greater Swiss Mountain Dog, Gallagher, whom suffered disc herniation. This eventually caused neuropathy triggered by nerve impingement which would typically worsen during a flare or when out of alignment. He is now 10.5 and has appointments consistently that have been a staple in his injury management and a core part of his treatment and quality of life. He absolutely loves when he gets to see his "girls" as I call them at this practice. So much so that he whines the moment we take the right into the parking lot. I work in canine health and nutrition and and am very particular about my dog's health regimen. Having said that Dr. Erickson never once passed judgement towards me in regards to raw feeding, medications, flea and tick control status, etc. To me, that meant the world and was truly hard to come by. Dr. Erickson has a wonderful calm energy that radiates throughout the entire room - the dogs feel it. And she does not rush or subject any animals to harsh physical manipulation to achieve compliance. She is incredibly sweet, goes by the pace of the individual, and treats every dog as if they were hers up on that table. Gallagher is beyond excited to see her and just can't get enough lip licking while she's adjusting him not only in physical relief, but as thanks her as well. My dog is my life and I cannot explain the peace of mind achieved by using this practice and knowing he is in the best hands. I also cannot recommend Dr.Erickson and The Animal Health Practice of Bantam enough! As a result of this, our dog developed an aggressive hemangiosarcoma cancer at that site, and lost her leg and now has a very short life expectancy, perhaps only a few months. The last thing I remember them saying when we brought her back for the second time was "what do you want me to do about it?" The callousness and the ignorance resulting in this devastating diagnosis is unimaginable.

Pearl had been treated…read moreunsuccessful for 2.5 months by our regular vet at Banfield Hospital, where she had been a patient on their wellness plan for 3 years. Our regular vet treated her for "colitis" but admitted that she did not know what else to do and referred us to a 24h clinic for further diagnosis and IV treatment Pearl was discharged from the clinic the next day with prescriptions for six different drugs, while her symptoms kept worsening. After one week of force-food and medications down her throat we decided to put her to sleep in the comfort of our home, which Dr.Krier offered to do. However, before proceeding with the euthanasia, Dr. Krier asked us the permission to examine the dog and to review her medical record. She took it upon herself to talk to the Emergency clinic doctor and discovered that although the clinic tested Pearl negative for Lyme disease, they had not tested her for Anaplasmosis, which is another, very similar, tick borne decease that affects older dogs. Dr Keil took another blood sample and called us the next day that her hunch was correct and the test was positive. Dr. Krier immediately gave Pearl a prescription for antibiotics and immediately showed a good response to the medication. Two weeks later our dog is eating , barking, licking our face and acting normal and out son has renamed Dr, Krier as "Dr. Miracle". She not only quickly and correctly diagnosed the dog 's symptoms, when other vets did not, but also treated us with compassion and provided incredible service. She has followed Pearl's recovery at every strep around the clock by phone and email even on Sunday! I never met such a caring , knowledgeable vet and I am so thankful that she gave our dog another breath of life ! Sadly, the same week that she saved our dog, she had to put her own to sleep but never let her sadness impact caring for other patients. I would recommend Dr. Krier to anybody looking for a compassionate, incredibly perceptive and experienced veterinarian who intuitively understands both animals and owners and can ressurect a dog on his death bed !

When we planned our vacation, we set up a trial day to see how our baby would act staying there, and after hearing she did well, we booked her stay. Bailey was there for 5 days, and each day we received a photo or video of her with an update on how she was doing. If anything had happened we were contacted immediately (though nothing went wrong). In every photo Bailey looked very happy and we will definitely will be using their service again!
