I went in with specific concerns about my neck and shoulders, which were barely addressed, and frankly, I'm vaguely pissed about. BUT the rest of my body got the royal treatment, which was amazing. But it was almost like she was avoiding my problem areas, which is bizarre... My honey said his massage was amazing and his massuer completely addressed all his problem areas. We'll definitely be back and I'll try to make sure I'm clearer about my expectations . I'm also looking forward to trying their tai chi 101 classes on Tuesday and Thursday. I made an appointment with the masseuse that was at the fair and extended the massage by a half hour. First time here, so I was impressed by what I saw. There was a physical therapy room with a bunch of workout stuff The check-in area, though small, was clean and had fresh fruit and water. Receptionist was nice and affable. I do not remember golden hand's name but it started with a "Ch". He works here and at the Hotel Captain Cook. I think I will visit here or there again because it was the best massage I've ever had. After I went home I felt high, like ya-know, and really good. Lots of water that evening. So, what is it that I liked about this place? It has a bit of everything, and all the staff seemed professional and courteous. I filled out a questionnaire and discussed body stuff with a clinician before I got the massage. After the massage I was on my way out and I was met by the masseuse with a glass of water. The visit from beginning to end was great and I would recommend. If I needed physical therapy I think I would be happy to come here for help.

I've used their acupuncture/cupping/fire cupping service with Kristen who I enjoyed building my rapport with. She's really personable and it was easy for me to like her as my practitioner. I've had several session with Dr. Maya as well to help me with some hip/neck issue. The front desk staff takes your temperature before you sign in and they sanitize the pens/high touch surface frequently. I've never had any issues with them that is inaccessible to my deafness. They have been so accommodating during my visits and in communicating re: emailing instead of calling. This review reminds me that it's time to reschedule with them!

From first encounter, it was apparent that Sudevi is a skilled therapist who draws on varied experiences and a wide base of knowledge. She took time to ask and answer questions and provide explanations for my first Reiki experience. The treatment itself was absolutely wonderful. I've hesitated in trying Reiki in the past as I worried that it wouldn't have the same dig-in-and-knead-it-out "punch" that a strong massage does. I was surprised at the very deep level of relaxation and calming that I felt. I definitely left the comfy space in a much better physical, mental, and emotional state than I entered in. As a result, I was literally crippled. I had to crawl on my hands and knees. Delaney and Angela got me in for an exam and adjustment same day. Dr Foley was very professional and friendly. I notice an improvement after 24 hours of the 1st adjustment. They have a thermal scanner that detects hot spots on your spine. I had areas 3000% over normal. I first contacted Affordable Massage Therapy (Tammy) on December 11 and over the next several weeks had multiple appointments scheduled, confirmed, and then canceled by her. Appointments were changed, rescheduled, or canceled at short notice due to scheduling mistakes, family emergencies, and illness. At one point, she stated she deletes all text messages, which made it difficult to keep any continuity in scheduling. In total, my appointment was canceled three separate times by the provider, including once just hours before a scheduled session. During this process, her rates also increased significantly compared to when I originally booked. After the last cancellation, I looked more closely at her reviews and noticed a consistent pattern in the one-star google reviews describing the same issues -- frequent cancellations and lack of reliability. While she does have positive reviews, it seems those experiences depend heavily on actually being able to keep an appointment. If reliability and respect for your time are important to you, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. For what it's worth, when my appointment was canceled yet again, I was able to book last-minute with Chris at Root Massage, who provided the best massage I've had in Anchorage. The difference in professionalism and consistency was night and day.

She says Tammy just went in with a customer, during my scheduled time. I texted Tammy to ask what's up. She doesn't even apologize at first, just says "I meant 5:45p". I sent her screenshots of the messages she sent me and ask if she will give me a discount since I had to drive over and potentially have to come back later. She doesnt offer one and then just says she is booked up. I have no idea of her massage quality but I can tell you to expect your appointment to move multiple times and for Tammy not to really care. Also I just want to say that I am experiencing pretty extensive pain. And mistakes happen. But If you work in an industry that provides relief to people, it might be worth it to invest in some scheduling tools because you will have clients continuing to live in pain when you can't live up to your business responsibilities. All in all -10 stars, do not visit.

What most people don't understand about Chiropractic services is that as long as your spine is in align, then all your nerves, blood flow and other body communications will start working great again and you will feel better and work better too. I have been to other Chiropractors but Dr Mike is top notch and puts up with me and my shenanigans. I really can't say enough about him and his staff. I would rate them 10 stars if I could... Wait, I just did! Keep this in mind, if your car starts to cause trouble then you have to fix it. If you do preventative maintenance on your car it will last longer and cost less over time so your body is the same way. Chiropractors are your preventative maintenance.
