She is an incredibly talented massage therapist and just a great human to have the pleasure of getting to know. From intake to throughout her massage sessions she is constantly seeking her client's feedback and finding ways to improve the experience. I've received a lot of massages over the years, and I've never had such a relaxing experience and felt so in tune and grounded with a person. My schedule is fairly demanding and Caryl is also willing to work with me fairly short notice to get me in. For those interested, she is also a certified medical massage practitioner and is constantly looking to improve her professional knowledge. A true five star experience and I look forward to my next appointment! Thanks Caryl and the Alaska Massage Company!

At first I was really unsure about the whole darkness situation so I asked for the chakra lighting option. I eventually got so comfortable and decided to turn the lights off. It was so peaceful! I felt like I was floating in the space galaxy. After the float tank use I was so blissed in. I drove home much more calmer. I've used their acupuncture/cupping/fire cupping service with Kristen who I enjoyed building my rapport with. She's really personable and it was easy for me to like her as my practitioner. I've had several session with Dr. Maya as well to help me with some hip/neck issue. The front desk staff takes your temperature before you sign in and they sanitize the pens/high touch surface frequently. I've never had any issues with them that is inaccessible to my deafness. They have been so accommodating during my visits and in communicating re: emailing instead of calling. This review reminds me that it's time to reschedule with them!

I'm giving this company a one-star review because of their poor customer service - not the massage…read more(we never got that far). I bought my husband a birthday present for a 60-minute massage. He was late to his appointment exactly 15 minutes (he works in Wasilla and was driving from there). We both attempted to call starting at 5:30p to let the therapist know he was on his way. When he showed up, the lights and door were shut. I received an email that was very condescending and humiliating pretty much insinuating that we looked like "scammers" (yes, she called me that). Never once did anyone call us - not one single phone call. And on the day we were late, the therapist never called or checked messages. Just left and charged us the full amount. I am appalled at the way they handled this. This isn't about the money. This is about making a new client feel down right humiliated. I'm still in shock at how rude they were in their email and the fact that they never responded back to me. Shame on you for treating a new client like this.

This hands down was the best massage I have ever received!…read more Tammy and Travis are truly a pair that vibe well with each other (stay with me here). For me it's important to have a feel of cohesiveness, trust, & comfort; especially when dealing with the vulnerability that you have to kind of surrender during a massage. My husband and I had a couples massage that was purchased off of Groupon. He was paired with Tammy and I Travis. Travis hit areas that I had no clue I had pain in. You can tell he really listens to your body's reactions in response to his manipulations. He worked a lot with pressure point release while still maintaining a fluidity of movement. Whereas me being a (what my husband and family calls me) modern day hippie my husband he is NOT he likes to forget the science and "hoopla" behind it and just wants a sound relaxing, put to sleep massage. That was expectation was not only hit but surpassed by Tammy's gentle touch. When talking with them you can tell they both have a genuine respect of the body. They both understand the "how" along with "what" it needs to heal. But wait it gets better! On top of that they understand the financial strain that massages can carry so they like to throw in little perks here and there to help "build up" your massage. I'm just saying. I love supporting small businesses and even more I love supporting a business that truly cares about their customers!

Upon his suggestion I've been searching for therapists that prioritize continuing education, have solid schooling and can perform myofascial massages. This is what lead me to Myo Alaska. Booking my appointment was very easy and I was able to do intake paperwork online before my appointment. The location of the massage is inside of a dermatology office off of Dimond. Parking was easy and the location was simple to find. The massage therapist Ann is very nice and she checks in with you throughout the massage to gauge pressure which was nice. Ann was able to find all of my tight spots and relieved a migraine that had been plaguing me for a couple of days. The office that the massage takes place in can be rather loud at times, which is my main complaint for Myo Alaska. There was someone down the haul receiving a treatment where they kept saying "Ow" which was somewhat unsettling.
