You've got some old friends that you know, but none of them have classes with you and you try to connect with them as much as possible but most of the day from class to class you are on your own. The next day, you notice a new girl in first period, she's cute and seems approachable, and you notice she's in your second period too. You approach her during lunch and it turns out you've got most of your classes together and you both absolutely love [INSERT HERE] -- (NKOTB, Jeremy Jordan, Backstreet Boys, N*Sync, Justin Bieber, One Direction, BTS, pick your poison). You spend all day with your new friend...you guys just....CLICK. You talk on the phone all night, you trust her, she gets you. You feel like you've made a connection, you have SOMEONE, one person in the wide expanse of your middle school existential crisis understands you, makes you feel like you belong. You go through the same experiences and you have someone to share your ideas/thoughts/experiences and you know that for forevermore, this is YOUR GIRL FOR LIFE. Let me tell you, the adult equivalent of connecting with that friend in middle school is meeting Amira. For my first appointment, I literally walked in and IMMEDIATELY felt like I could just be myself. She didn't need to put me at ease, but it's clear that she has the ability to soothe even the most apprehensive client. Prior to coming in, I had texted her asking if she could do an assessment and hear my concerns and wants and then formulate a plan to go forward. Of course, she was down with this and when I got there, we got down to it. The room was clean and music was playing (otherwise, it was quiet - which is important to know as the Los Gatos location is in a wellness center that is shared with other practitioners). The oils were warm and she explained everything she was doing. We talked the whole time - which is abnormal for me as a true introvert (I normally prefer to STFU, pay and leave) - but it was very natural and really did feel like we had known each other since...well...middle school. I have now had more than a handful of treatments with Amira and each time afterward I feel amazing and have the best sleep ever. After my first session I sat up from the table and immediately saw a visible difference. She is so knowledgeable about her craft and will share with you and educate you during your time together. I also once asked her if she prefers to talk or does she like to work in quiet and she really is able to cater to each clients' preference. You will leave your appointment feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. Maybe you will even use the time to tell her about yourself and come to look forward to future appointments, because it really does feel like you're talking to your friend who actually cares about what's going on in your life. If you're on the fence about whether these treatments are right for you I'd encourage you to give it a try. You won't be disappointed and more than likely you'll be looking forward to scheduling your next appointment. After everything we've been through collectively - covid, lockdowns, etc., it's time to be kind to yourself and show your body some TLC. I had made an appointment but we arrived 15 ish minutes early and were still seen immediately. As a fan of Thai Massage, this regular massage was a lot more enjoyable from a pain perspective. Actually relaxing rather than energizing but still effective after you walk out the door. Everyone was very nice, and we received services for the full hour.
