Beauty Boutique) by Gary, who knew who I was and what I was there for. I finally met Javier in person and he seemed just as excited for me as I was to potentially get this procedure done. He informed me that some magic might have been a brewing because a cancellation had just come in. I met with Dr. Vitenas and without words, he seemed to already know the struggle I was living with and how he could help make this a turning point in my life. I was all-in. I discussed details with Javier and he revealed the opportunity of a lifetime; I could have the surgery the next day if I decided to proceed. And you bet I did. Next came the nurse consult with pre and post-op instructions. I met with Courtney who was also excited for me. She appeared youthful, but you could tell she could do this in her sleep, so the trust carried through to the staff I met that day. This is crucial because I must believe that I will be able to get back to work in a timely manner-- no work no pay in my profession. Fast forward-- I followed the instructions, got the surgery and I was back at work 2 days later and full tilt at the gym 3 weeks after. During the initial consultation I found Dr. Rich to be extremely knowledgeable and very attentive to all my questions and concerns. She carefully explained all details of the procedure which helped me set expectations for the surgery and recovery phase. The office staff was equally outstanding. As a man I was a bit intimidated at first with the idea of an all lady staff. That quickly dissipated as everyone was friendly, professional, and treated me like royalty. While this was not my first surgical experience, I can't recall a more comfortable and relaxing procedure than this one - most likely a result of the "special touch" provided by an all lady team. The surgery was performed on a Thursday and I was back at work the following Monday. Though swelling was noticeable for several weeks the pain was very minimal and didn't require medicine. Wearing a compression garment 24/7 for 6 weeks was a bit inconvenient but the worse part was not being able to perform any physical activities during that period. On the positive side I am now caught up with most of my Netflix shows..... While full healing is expected to take up to a year, the results two months post op are simply incredible. Fast forward to December 5. I was in the hospital due to my hemo dropping and he was the plastic surgeon at the hospital. I was told by the ER doctor that most doctors don't like to do follow up on patients that had surgery out of state but he would refer me to one any way.
