This shop is rather small but we didn't want to have to wander around to find what we needed. An employee named Hannah was SUPER friendly and helpful. She took us over to the clippers and even told about different models. We decided on a set and headed to the register. The line was lengthy and it took a bit to checkout. A different employee checked us out. She was nice as well. We were absolutely shocked to learn that Hannah was only on her 2nd day! She was so knowledgeable and helpful we assumed she had been working there for years.

The size of each color is smaller compared to my usual, but considering my eye shadows always get discarded due to expiry date, I think I prefer these smaller ones. The staff is super friendly. I had 2 people come up to me to help for the 10 min I was there. So, I got it, but could not use it as it did not come with a brush- not even disposable. No, not that I think they should provide because the price in itself was a steal, but my assuming that there would be one made it not wearable for the purpose I got it ... ha..

When she showed me the result, I politely asked if she could tighten the curls to achieve a sleeker finish, which was my main request. Rather than making a simple adjustment, she took the entire style down and redid it completely, taking another 20 minutes. It was clear she was frustrated by my request, and the final result did not reflect the look I asked for or what I expected based on the photo I provided. I've attached pictures of the finished style for reference--unfortunately, it was not acceptable for the formal event I was attending. That said, I truly appreciate the kindness and professionalism of both the manager and the receptionist. They were understanding and made a genuine effort to make the situation right, which I'm very thankful for.

I think the service here is really good and the selection is much greater than what one would find at locations inside Houston--which tend to be low on stock when ordering items online. I was able to get some good hand soaps at a discount. The Strawberry Pound Cake soap smells great, but I also like the lemon-scented soaps.

First time I stopped in years ago, I found a really beautiful neutral lipstick for $1. Also, they use to carry a particular eyeshadow palette that looked stunning on my skin. Only caveat is over time, these items are no longer available, but I have found some of the name brand items I use here for less. Recently, I purchased some hair rinse here that easily sells a dollar or two more at other stores. To my greatest surprise, I found my favorite lashes here on sale for $1. I typically have only found them for that price at a place on the North side or off Cullen, so to find them in Pearland is a gas saver! Lastly, I appreciated the friendliness of the staff. I waa greeted and given space to shop. Thank you for that. Although I was disappointed on one item ai bought (a comb) where the paint was peeling off of it as I was parting my freshly washed hair, I really cant be too mad at a comb for a $1. I'll just take some alcohol and remove the rest of the paint so I can use the comb. You may not find everything you want here but there are enough items to make you a return customer.

However, my appointment was scheduled at the Pearland office instead. I never received an appointment confirmation, email, or reminder, so I had no way of knowing the appointment had been scheduled at a different location than the one I requested. Prior to the appointment, I completed all of the new patient paperwork, including providing my insurance information. Despite having this information in advance, the front desk did not review my paperwork until I arrived for my appointment. At that point, I was informed that my insurance required an updated referral and was essentially told I could not be seen. What is most frustrating is that this situation could have been avoided entirely if my insurance information had been reviewed before my appointment (insurance information is supposed to be reviewed and verified BEFORE the day of the appointment. that is standard practice for medical appointments) Had someone checked my paperwork in advance, I could have been notified and given time to obtain the necessary referral rather than taking time out of my day to come to the office for nothing. I then asked to speak with the office manager. After waiting several minutes, the manager called me but was extremely unprofessional and hung up while I was still speaking. That interaction only added to an already frustrating experience. The lack of communication, failure to review patient information beforehand, and poor customer service made this an extremely disappointing experience. Especially when I did everything I was supposed to do on my end. Would give 0 stars if i could.
