This is a great local nursery in Gallup, New Mexico. The staff is knowledgeable and very friendly and helpful.

rude workers that talk amongst themselves. I genuinely think they're prejudice to anyone that's of colour . No acknowledging you if you're a person of color, only acknowledges white people . there was an older lady that had an attitude the entire time up until I left . Would not recommend at all . The first time I went in here - wasn't acknowledged ... AT ALL , second time - same. Today was my LAST time going here .... consider yourself invisible to the people that own/work here or whatever . Chatting amongst themselves with not as much as "...... can I help you find something ..." ......or better yet , the old , most basic classic we all learned in the first grade ...." Hello ......" - nope- not here . They have great plants etc , but ZERO customer service skills - like NONE . Although I Love supporting small and local businesses , I would rather drive over to the Home Depot , or even Wal Mart or all the way to Albuquerque than to ever set foot in this place again . I have patronized this local nursery for the 8 years I have lived in the area. I have found their selection to be good, their customer service to be up to par and their prices comparable for a local nursery. I have purchased landscape and houseplants here with great success. They also have a great selection of compost, soil and gardening supplies. I thoroughly enjoy shopping here. I have to ask, why are all the bad reviews from people that don't even live in the area? The selection of plants and trees are great. It's my 4 favorite places to stop when I go to Gallup. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The green house is fun to explore. The outside staff are well knowledgeable in what works in soils. read more

I am so disappointed. Anthony told me that my pine trees didn't have bark beetles and that the browning of the pine needles is natural. Therefore, I spent over $800 to have them put an insecticide to ward off bark beetles and also had him cut off the dead branches. They died and now I have to spend more money to cut them down. I trusted him. read more

If you are concerned about avoiding the virus, I recommend that you stay away from Holiday Nursery. Two employees had no masks. One of them approached me to talk about plants and I asked her to put on a mask or stay away. She ignored me and kept talking. Inside the building, one employee and the owner had masks pulled below their noses. I pointed out that the masks are ineffective if they don't cover the nose. The owner said it's harder to breathe with it on. Yep, we all deal with that - and we still wear them because we care about the health of those around us. read more

Holiday Nursery offers basic essentials for gardening nothing too unique. They have a decent seed selection to choose from. I don't recommend buying plant starts cause they typically die. I've bought plant starts multiple occasions and ALL have died compared to other starts from local big box stores. I also purchased aged manure, which was horrible! It smelled worse than manure! There was other things in it such as, a crow bar, a long rope, and what appeared to be animal fat or rotting meat! Who knows what they buried but don't get the bulk soil! read more

Rude customer care. NO guarantee on trees/plants. IF you buy from here, what you take home is totally your responsibility post purchase. We purchased a Blue Spruce and several fruit trees. Over a thousand dollars spent at this establishment. We were told that we would have no problems. Blue Spruce died within 3 months. We called Holiday Nursery about this. Female owner was extremely curt and abrupt. NO REFUND nor compensation! And rude attitude to boot! It was stated that if Holiday Nursery guaranteed every tree or plant they sold then they would lose money. Also stated, Holiday Nursery was only responsible for quality of plants/trees prior to sale. Post sale was not Holiday Nurseries responsibility. We will not shop here again due to the lack of responsibility and rudeness. Quality nurseries DO back their product post sale!!! Buyer BEWARE! Holiday Nursery said they would not. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS NURSERY as they do not back up / guarantee their trees. read more
