This store in downtown Gallup has some very high quality Native artisan jewelry and other crafts, plus commercial wares like the Pendleton blankets. All the Native ladies who work the sales floor were very sweet, courteous, and solicitous. Excellent staff to match excellent merchandise! While prices may look high, remember that quality doesn't come cheap. We were ready to leave this store as well after seeing that the prices were very expensive and then the gal mentioned that jewelry was half off. Oh. Well. We bought three pairs of earrings and a ring. She was very helpful and very patient. And that may have been because she was on commission and could see that we were eager to get on our way West. Don't go here the owner who is not Native American is very rude. Even when you spend lots of money. The Navajo ladies who work here are very nice though. Take your money and business somewhere else. Better yet find a native owned one. read more

Awesome little store. One side with all our supplies for beads and jewelry making then the other side purchasing turquoise jewelry, pendeltons and Beadwork. Found some beads i haven't seen anywhere else. Staff were very helpful and so glad they had so many people working. Usually trading companies have one or two people on staff. I just came here to buy turquoise. Even though their prices were higher than a place just down the street I figured I would still browse. While picking out stones one of the employees children came running out. She was maybe 2 years old. She touched one of the stones and a woman employee proceeds to hit her extremely hard and the child began screaming and crying in pain. Maybe the employees shouldn't bring small naturally curious toddlers to this store. I blame this incident on bad parenting and not the curious toddler. I left as I could not stomach supporting people who act like this. read more
