We had paid for these services and the meetings we had with them were fruitless, lip service given and completely disregarded. Please DO NOT leave your love one in this places care. They are all about money with little regard to helping out the people they serve. It is shameful, disappointing and really grimy how they operate. I cannot imagine what type of care is given to those whose family isn't on top of every single day, it became hopeless and beyond frustrating in her care and the nonsense that was told to us about being on the same page. Apt has a built-in nightlight in the warm that automatically comes on when I turn off the lights totally. Equipped with a fully standing Refrigerator and Microwave Oven, lots of closet space,, room for a computer desk and TV stand, plus electric recliner. I am utilizing the total Assisted Living Program, which includes 3 meals per day ,laundry service once a week, and medications management. What impressed me upon my first tour was the cheerful decor and bright Living with many lighting in use that gives a feeling of plenty safety!!! A person can come to the dining room with vaulted ceiling for breakfast any time 7AM- Noon, or Lunch noon- 5PM and Dinner 5PM, to sit wherever you choose and there are no assigned seating. There is an Activity Department that offer several means to enrich our lifestyles. There is a Shuttle Bus use to transport us to nearby shopping, plus a comfy Lincoln for transportation to Dr. appointments on TUE. & THU(s). I easily accept this as my comfortable home with friendly staff to assist on any great day!!!

She was not only incapable of doing any physical therapy, but was unable to feed herself or lift a cup of water to her mouth. We went to see her and her lips were dry and chapped so we brought the water straw to her mouth so she could drink. Her eyes stayed closed and she moaned and cried the entire time we were there. I tried to ask her questions but she couldn't answer us. She was like this for days. They eventually sent her back to the hospital where she awoke several hours later with no recollection of what had happened. I feel sorry for the patients that have no one to advocate for them.

The operation was successful, and for that I can highly recommend each and every person involved in my stay, from the doctors, to the nurses, to the technicians, to the cleaning personnel. I calculated that I interacted with over 100 people during my stay, and every one of them was cheerful, pleasant and encouraging, even at 3 am when there is a need to draw blood. Nobody likes to be hospitalzed, but, if you find yourself in need of cardiac care, you could not do any better than the care I received at Vassar Brothers... Five stars!

Walked directly in to the lobby reception and was greeted by two friendly desk associates. The check in required photo identification for both of us. Clear instructions to the Dr Office on the first floor. DR CHOI's office: Checked in by Kelly~ friendly and efficient. Nearly immediately checked with procedures and sent us to X~ray registration on level one lobby. ( this seemed like the only redundant process) there was no line, so we were able to check in quickly with the friendly desk representative who knew we were on our way- Good communication between Kelly at Dr Choi's office and Radiology reception. Within minutes we were on the way to 2nd floor radiology. RADIOLOGY: smooth arrival experience ( I recommend that you snap a photo of your script for your records before handing it over. They were accommodating for this when we asked, this may save time from having to ask for records later. WAITING: one other patient was in the waiting room when we arrived. The waiting room is organized, well lit, and clean. There is a TV The wait was reasonable and brief about 7 minutes. Erica and student Tammy greeted us and requested the script ~ we directed them to the desk agent. Within a minute, they left for X-ray. More pleasant staff. All is going smoothly for Radiology. I will review Dr Choi separately.

It definitely seems they truly get to know the residents personally which meant a lot to us. The transition of getting her there wasn't easy, but they were very helpful in the process. No place is perfect, but we've seen firsthand that the employees truly care and work hard every day. The facility is clean, the residents are treated with respect, and communication with our family has been great.

They are very professional, supportive, and provide my brother with extensive care. After a recent hospital and nursing home stay, they helped arrange his return and subsequent rehab at Hyde Park Assisted Living to aid with his recovery. With their encouragement and support, he no longer requires a wheelchair and constant oxygen. My brother enjoys the food and the diverse group of residents, who are always friendly, very cheerful and show concern for one another. He considers HPAL his home, and is very happy there.
