About an hour after I checked in, the power went out all over town. It was warm in Idaho, and I decided to go sit outside until the power came back on. That is where I got to chat with the owner. He confirmed my assumption that the building used to be an assisted living facility. That is why the building is off the main street, and the bathrooms and halls are so large. It is unbelievable that an assisted living facility went out of business. Overall, a great night at this hotel. The shower pressure was good, and plenty of hot water. The bed was comfortable. I had some issues with the TV but used my iPad to watch the news, etc. If I were back in the area, I would stay there again.

Love this place. Nice and quiet and the hot pools are amazing. Such a beautiful property. I am here alone and I feel very safe and secure. When I got here I did not have a water hose long enough as the water is at the back of the site and you share a site with someone else. "Marine guy", in the office was very nice and helpful. His son brought me a hose to add to mine. Cell coverage is perfect, WiFi is excellent. I love this property. I will definitely be back. Salmon river is gorgeous.

We opted to release the reservation and go back towards Stanley for a better camping experience. If you're an RV camper of a certain demographic- this might be a great place- but it was not for us. The website needs to be more clear on their "tent" sites and what is available before next summer. Staff is nice, and the RV section looked well Maintained, but the tent sites again- problematic.

Oh yeah almost forgot they make a great milk shake or if you just want ice cream in their gift shop this your place. We have been going to this motel for the last 20 years.

It included a queen sized bed, a chair for relaxing, a desk for working, a private bath and access to the outside balcony. Rooms are decorated in the rustic, log built furnishings that one would expect. Reservations are made by calling in to the office. They are prepaid with a door access code sent to your phone the day of arrival. There is a central area for gathering with tables, chairs and a fireplace. There is a hot tub available. Some rooms are pet friendly. The WiFi worked good. The facility does not have elevators so having a room on the second floor requires carrying luggage up the stairs. The room had an air conditioner but it was a floor unit, not a wall unit. In all I enjoyed my stay here and would choose again if back in the area.

We also took an evening boat cruise on the lake which was the most peaceful thing you can imagine. We didn't eat in the restaurant but we heard it was good. We love this place.
