We were driving through town at 2am looking for another hotel our GPS said was 19 miles out of town. When we got to where our GPS said the location, there was not a single establishment in sight. Tired and defeated, all we wanted to do was find a place to call it a night. We remembered Northgate Inn as being the first place we saw coming through town and of all the places, it seemed the most well kept and was brightly lit.
When we finally made the drive back into town, I walked in and picked up the phone to call the front desk. I never got her name, but the lady who helped me was very helpful and not the least bit testy that I woke her up. She was very accommodating and hospitable.
For 1 queen size bed, wi fi access for $53.98, that is including tax.
The room and bathroom were very satisfactory. Everything seemed clean and the hallway had thoughtful decorations to brighten up the atmosphere.
Check out was a breeze and the ice machine is conveniently located in lobby adjacent to the street so we could easily fill our ice chest and load it back into the car. Also, their soda machine sells beverages for 50 cents, what a steal!
Highly recommend this place if you're needing a place to crash in Challis. They wont give you an attitude if you happen to be coming through super late at night like us b/c honestly when both parties are that tired, no one needs the other person's sass. Overall a 4 star experience, it turned out to be a better experience that I expected to have in Challis. read more
