We stopped for the night on our trip from Michigan to Texas. This sweet little hotel was clean, convenient to highway 44, Myka at the front desk greeted us with a little goodie bag, and we had a great dinner at post game pizza just down the road. If you have children, they will love the colorful bubble wall and the pizza place can deliver to your room. The usual HI breakfast the next morning, and lemon water, coffee, apples and bananas any time. There was even some Michigan cider in the fridge at breakfast. Marshfield is named after Daniel Webster's homestead and is the home town of Hubble of telescope fame. There's a replica of his namesake telescope in town. We had a great stay and we will be back on our next trip. Big thanks to the staff of both post game pizza and Holiday Inn Marshfield! read more

Hotel says they take pets yet when you check in they say no pets and they have never excepted pets yet have stayed here before with our dogs and many other holiday Inn's. Very poor customer service. Lots of shady truckers at this location. read more

Just passing through town & got off the road during torrential thunderstorms & tornado watches. Pros: * Older room, but clean... not Covid clean... there was some dust, so I know they didn't thoroughly sanitize all surfaces. * Nice front desk agent... unusual for H Inn, in my experience. * Very comfy bed, lots of pillows. * Lots of lighting. * HUGE TV has tons of channels, including all the HBO & MAX channels. Very convenient when being stuck indoors during storms. * Nearby restaurants. For dinner, you can walk to a few of them, just next door. * Nice area... quiet room & 'hood... it's far enough away from traffic. * Fridge, m/w & Keurig coffee maker with lots of coffee pods & a few tea bags. * Quiet, a/c-heater, controlled from wall. * Shower has a wall caddy with upscale shampoo, conditioner & body wash... all excellent quality. There are also small bottles of shampoo, conditioner & body lotion. Lots of towels. Cons: * Cost is higher than I like to spend... $110 inc tax. * Older outlets, not a lot of them & none with USB ports. Good to know: * Even during Covid, they have breakfast from 6:30-9:30am. Unsure if it's hot food or just grab-&-go's like I've seen at hotels of late (bag with apple & a grain bar)... but, I'll check them out in the morning. Solid 4* out of 5. Horrific customer service is what you can expect from the majority however and blatantly overpriced for scratch and dent rooms. Our room was nice enough. My step-mom and I split a room and it was spacious enough for the two of us, with two double beds. The bathroom was large enough and had good counter space, but I feel like the fan didn't work very well. I don't like when fans don't work and the bathroom stays steamed up forever after a shower. The beds were quite comfortable; I slept very well! We were on the first floor and we didn't have any issue with outside noise, even with the highway so close by. The drapes are thick enough to keep the sun blocked out also. Decent continental breakfast. It's always nice to at least get a yogurt or a bowl of cereal in the morning, but they had a pretty nice spread. The three boys in our group all were able to get their fill! They also loved having the outdoor pool available. The front desk staff members were all friendly. The parking lot seemed to be safe enough. The lobby smells a bit smoky. That would be my main complaint. It does need a bit of an update. read more

We passed through here and my family of four stayed in a two queen bed room. The hotel looks a bit older but my bed was comfortable and shower had good pressure and was hot. Breakfast was diverse and filling. I wish the room was a little cleaner. It had a musty smell and the floors could use a deep shampoo. Overall it was fine and really cheap. After my stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Amarillo I was quite disappointed with Marshfield's version. The lobby had a worn feel, and the lobby/office area carpeting was dirty and obviously hadn't been cleaned in a long time. The receptionist seemed to be wearing her own casual clothes rather than a professional outfit, giving the place a mom & pop feel. She was quite friendly, however. I paid a a higher price for a king-size bed in a room with extra "features" because she described those rooms as having been updated. I'm glad I did, because I ended up with a comfy soft mattress, as I had experienced in the Amarillo Holiday Inn Express. I was very glad I took the upgrade. The next morning I expected a continental breakfast similar to my previous experience, but was gravely disappointed. The food offered was not what was pictured on the wall, and it was late in being set up. I nibbled a biscuit but it was so awful I couldn't finish it. I didn't dare try the white stuff that was brought in- it looked like some kind of sausage gravy. I ended up leaving without breakfast and stopped at a gas station later on down the highway. This place wasn't horrible, but I have to be honest and say I didn't like it enough to want to come back. read more

The long grey curly hair guy at the front desk is a super big asshole to me and my mom for absolutely no reason. Found a pubic hair in the bathroom and again the guy at the desk is disrespectful to me and my mother for no reason. We are nothing but nice to him and he's jus throwing attitude jus to be a dick. Hope this guy gets a talking to of some sort or gets some kind of repercussions. read more

Staff needs work on customer service. From the General Manager down to the lady that collects towels. Went for breakfast at about 8:30 and everything was low or out. Won't be staying here again. Expensive for what they offer. read more

My husband and I stayed here for two nights. We just checked out this morning. I'm not very pleased at all. We stayed in a first-floor room with a king bed. The bed itself was very comfortable but I was not able to get much sleep so it doesn't matter how comfortable the bed was. The walls in this place are incredibly thin. I could hear every single word that the people in the room next to us were saying. I was even able to tell what tv show they were watching. The doors to the rooms are very heavy as well. Every single time anyone nearby left their room, the door slammed shut behind them, basically shaking the walls in the rest of the hallway. The people in the room next to us left their room and woke me up at 5am the first morning and at 6am this morning. Then when the housekeepers started making their rounds close to us at about 8am, they were knocking on doors around us loud enough to wake me up again. When they went into a room near us, they allowed the doors to slam loudly behind them as well. They were very loud and inconsiderate in general while cleaning. To have paid upwards of $275 for two nights and be woken up as often as we were is absolutely ridiculous. Don't expect to get much rest if you stay here. I also told the front desk about our experience and all she said was that she was sorry; no further action was taken. Our experience was absolutely NOT worth what we paid. I will not go back to this hotel ever. read more

Was pleasantly surprised! Extremely clean. Smelled like fresh paint. Didn't have any complaints. Great free breakfast. I do think they should have an elevator though. We're young so it wasn't a big problem but there was just one staircase and I noticed a lot of older people struggling to carry their luggage up. I had an absolutely awful experience with this hotel. After paying a 25.00 pet deposit, I checked into a room with holes in the blankets. After checking out I was billed for the holes in the blanket which were there before checking in, and when I called to speak to the GM, she avoided speaking with me and eventually hung up on me. We visit Marshfield Mo quite a few times through out the year because of family. We have usually stayed in Springfield Mo because we get a better hotel rate and most hotels have indoor pools. This trip we got a good rate at Holiday Inn Express in Marshfield, so we booked it. Big mistake! We checked in when we got to town and put our things in the room, all looked fine for the little bit we were there. We left and spend time with family and didn't get back to the room till after midnight. My husband and I were exhausted from driving all day and then events with family. We both laid down and fell quickly to sleep only to both wake up a hour later. The bed was like sleeping on the floor. It was so hard if you could fall asleep you would wake up shortly from the pain of you hip, side, or back. We have a firm bed at home but this was crazy hard. Neither one of sleep worth a crap! I got up and took a shower and went to iron a shirt and the ironing boars would not stay up, I finally just laid it on the ed and used it. We made it down to get breakfast at a little before 9 on a Saturday. Everything was nasty. The biscuits were so hard that I couldn't break it open, the eggs looked like they had been there since yesterday and we're totally gross and cold, sausages and gravy were cold. It was just not the best experience we have had traveling. Some of the staff was very pleasant. While we were getting breakfast there was a employee sitting in the dinning area, she heard us comment on the food but just acted like she didn't. Next thing they came in and closed it down. I am pretty sure my husband will push to not stay there even though it is close to what we are there for. read more

This place was unexpectedly nice! We're driving from Chicago to Dallas and stopped overnight. Room and amenities were nice, Bath and Body Works toiletries and an awesome free breakfast. Usually I disregard "free breakfast" as a perk but they had everything you could want (scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, Greek yogurt, and so much more). No complaints! read more

Stayed here while attending a wedding that took place at Venue 481. This hotel was nice and clean and the hotel employees were super nice. We reserved a king non-smoking room for 2 people and we arrived with 3 additional people. They gave us a king room with a pull-out sofa bed and brought us a roll-away bed at no extra charge. The coffee in the lobby was hot and had lots of cream and sugar options. In the morning there was a FREE delicious breakfast with a multitude of choices. I would definitely recommend the Holiday Inn Express and would stay there again. read more
