Our waitress was prompt, friendly, and attentive. When the food arrived, her salmon dip came with large, thin, house-made crackers--and both the dip and the crackers were delicious. My salmon Caesar salad was excellent, and after finishing every bite of mine, I ended up helping my wife by wiping her dip bowl clean! Beautiful setting, excellent food, and a timely, attentive waitress... I think some of the other reviewers must have visited on an off day. I would absolutely return to The Ozark Mill.

We then ordered our entrees which consisted of the fried catfish, Smash burger and fried chicken sandwich (with the hot rub.) All were outstanding! I love lots of spice and have to say I don't think my request for "extra hot " got to the chef. Anyway the spicy chicken sandwich was flavorful. Overall we had a great first experience. The owner is very rude and aggressive! We rented the lodge for a company retreat, and during a scavenger hunt, three young women made a wrong turn and misunderstood some signs. The owner verbally berated them, chased them in his SUV, and pulled in front of their car and braked--almost causing an accident. They came back to the lodge and texted me to come out to calm him down, explain the misunderstanding, and clarify that no one had snuck onto the farm. When I came out of the lodge, he was less than a foot away from one of the young women, screaming at her. I have NEVER seen anyone so angry--he was red-faced, and actually spitting because he was yelling so hard! He threatened to kick us off of the property, and repeatedly accused the young women of being "disrespectful" because they'd been laughing and having fun when he first approached them (again, they were participating in a scavenger hunt, and had no reason to believe he'd see them as criminals rather than renters who made a mistake). The young women were justifiably shaken and scared, and not only was our teambuilding retreat ruined, but we had to pay for a hotel room since they no longer felt safe being on the premises with someone so unstable and aggressive! When we left, he went on to lie to homeaway, claiming that we left the place dirty after our entire group spent almost an hour cleaning and straightening it. He's now refusing to return our $500 security deposit. Luckily, we were able to send homeaway some pictures proving that we hadn't left a mess. I'm shocked that someone who decorated the lodge and farm with so much Christian imagery could have SO MUCH HATE in his heart, and be so quick to verbally abuse and threaten young women...not to mention so quick to lie. I guess I missed the part of the Bible where Jesus lied, stole, threatened, and yelled angrily at young women who'd made an honest mistake.

Feeling a bit hesitant at first to do it on bike but it was the best feeling. It was a perfect 68, clear skies and lilac blooms along the way. The perfection was almost overwhelming. A tram is also available for a round trip adventure but the bike was just too fun to pass up. Along the way we saw all kinds of little critters, snakes, fish and birds. Stopped at the tree house, chapel and most of the waterfalls. On bike with all the stops about 2 hours, walking could easily be 3+. Bikes are $15 each and I highly recommend getting there early so you have your pick cause the good ones go fast. Some have baskets and you should get one of those and then fill it with a picnic lunch. Little under $20 per person for entry, with discounts for veterans, seniors and children. Large parking but the place is popular, so again if possible arrive early.
