She was extremely helpful and answered all of my questions. After a few inquiries over e-mail she told me that it would be best if I came into the actual business to discuss details and possibly book the trip. When I first went in I met with a woman named Patty. She was beyond helpful, and was more than catering to the fact that I had no idea what I was doing. I felt as if I was in really good hands so I booked our honeymoon with Totem Travel. As the months went passed Patty was able to continue answering all my questions and helping me book additional details for our trip. Sometimes I would stop by Totem Travel to ask additional questions or confirm other details and even after months I would walk in and Patty would recognize me right away, ask me about how my work was going, remembering every detail that I had ever told her. It is great when a business these days can have that extra personal touch. I wouldn't even have to remind her who I was ever, because she was always one step ahead of me. We just got back from our honeymoon a few days ago and every little detail that I had discussed with Patty went exactly as she had said. She had requested to the hotel that we get a hotel room in a certain area and we did. She made sure that we sat next to eachother on every flight, and not every couple was that lucky. The trip was exactly what she had led my expectations to be. And it was the absolute perfect honeymoon. Mandy got us 6 cabins right next to each other at the back of the ship (which is the best view spot on Alaska cruises) so each of us could easily mingle and enjoy the fantastic view together on a shared, private balcony. Mandy is very helpful but never pushy. And she knows her cruises, including what upgrades are worth it (at least for me). She also arranged some special shout outs and cake for mom's 90th birthday during the cruise (for free) which was a nice extra touch. You might find her hard to reach on occasions as she seems to travel extensively but her backup Dee, was fantastic when she isn't around. The…read morepeople I interacted with in the Seattle office were not up to speed on what the actual requirements were for renewing my passport, and cut off the transaction before completion, and they suggested I go directly to the state department. Which I did, and it took all of 20 minutes to get my passport renewed. They were stating I needed to get additional proof of identity before they could process my renewal (I of course didn't need this; the state department was very helpful and the list of things they said to bring in the confirmation email, was exactly what they needed to renew my passport.) The only reason I'm giving them 2 stars, is that they refunded my money so all I did was waste an hour. But, poor customer service in my opinion. Just go directly to the state department (all these guys do is help you fill out the application and send along to the state department anyway). If they are going to sell this service, they should at least be able to accurately tell you what to bring when you come in.

When I tried to check into one of the hotels, I was told I would have to wait for my "husband" because only he could register us and get the keys for the room. (He was returning the rental car that I had arranged for because only his name was on that, too!) I paid for this trip! I made the arrangements! What century do we live in??!! Is Australia reallly so backwards? Or is it just this company? I had not used a travel agency before, and this convinced me that it is not worth it! No self-respecting woman should use this company. Nor should any man who has any respect for women.
