Planning an event on short notice while grieving is incredibly overwhelming, but the owner Mary and her staff made the process completely seamless. They were organized and highly professional. On the day of the luncheon, the setup was perfect, the food was excellent, and our service was flawless. Many of our guests commented on how wonderful the historic venue was. Thanks to the entire staff for easing our burden and taking such good care of us. Our family would like to give a special thanks to our server, Bonnie. She was absolutely amazing. The Hammer Family

If you find yourself in Leavenworth, this spot is an absolute gem. Dining inside an authentic,…read moreconverted railway station sets a fantastic vibe from the second you walk up. The train cars were packed to the rafters when we arrived, but the wait was well worth every minute. The moment we sat down, coffee mugs were ready to roll, accompanied by a basket of warm little donut holes delivering the kind of sweet, sugary punch every mid morning meal deserves. The drinks delivered across the board. I went with the Bloody Mary, served in a classic country jar with the perfect kick of spicy heat. I also snuck a sip of a friend's Mimosa toward the end of brunch, and it was equally refreshing and balanced. The food menu features plenty of creative twists, but the standout was the Smoked Chicken Eggs Benedict. The sweet and savory smoke profile on the chicken paired flawlessly with rich hollandaise and perfectly poached eggs. Across the table, the Reuben was a massive hit--I snagged a few of the accompanying housemade chips, and they were exceptionally crispy and well-seasoned. The Chef Salad and Black Bean Burger earned high marks from the rest of the crew, proving the scratch kitchen handles classic staples just as skillfully as their specialty items. Despite a completely full dining room, our server never missed a beat. He was fast, attentive, and didn't even flinch when an extra guest showed up late to our table. Terrific food, unique historic atmosphere, and top-tier hospitality. We'll definitely be back.

There was plenty of seating both inside and out, making it easy to settle in and enjoy a relaxed breakfast. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the large menu offered plenty of options with the flexibility to customize orders. I went with the two-egg plate, served with crispy potatoes, bacon, and French toast, and everything was delicious. The coffee arrived hot and fresh and kept coming, which is always a plus. The kids absolutely devoured their chocolate chip pancakes like nobody's business! It's easy to see why this place has so many loyal customers. Many people mentioned the consistently friendly service, generous portions, and homemade feel of the food, and after our visit, I can understand why. Whether you're a local or just passing through, this is a great spot for a hearty breakfast. We'll definitely be back to work our way through the rest of the menu!

There was only one waitress working and she didn't make us wait too long and was friendly enough. My wife had the biscuits and gravy which was really excellent. They sure know how to make a good biscuit. I had the special, which was a bagel breakfast sandwich, which was pretty good, definitely generous on the bacon which I appreciated. All in all, it's exactly what you'd expect and it's a good stop if you want a home cooked breakfast with some country flavor.

First, we had the opportunity to meet the owners, and they were absolutely amazing--friendly, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about what they do. The restaurant itself is located inside a beautifully restored historic train depot, which gives it so much character and charm. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak, and it was outstanding. Every bite was packed with flavor. I paired it with a strawberry lemonade, which was just as delicious. Before we hit the road, she even made sure my cup was topped off, which was such a thoughtful touch. We also enjoyed the sweet potato fries, salad, and homemade cucumber salad. Everything tasted fresh, homemade, and made with care. And before leaving, I grabbed a cinnamon roll for later--and wow, it was HUGE! You can tell this place is built around family, good food, and making people feel at home. If you're passing through Nebraska City, do yourself a favor and stop in. Come hungry--you definitely won't leave that way!

It appears it used to be many different restaurants and keeps changing businesses in this same building. It is next to a historic train track and there is an outdoor patio area but it is no longer functional. The food was better than the options we had the previous day when we stayed at The Lodge in town. Everyone enjoyed what they had and I would say the pricing is fair for what we received. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a decent meal in town.
