He refused to fix it and said we must have done something to it which we definitely didn't. Prior to this we were already extremely unhappy. He was always hours later than he told us he would be, meaning we had to take more time off work than necessary. And he was rude. So very rude. One of the worst humans I've ever had the displeasure of meeting. I wouldn't hire him to wash my car. If I saw him on the street I would cross to the other side. AVOID this guy and hire literally anyone else.

The glass work is manipulated in various ways as it can either be stained, laminated, sculptured, fused or etched and can be hung or displayed. There is twenty eight years worth of experience in perfecting and creating this old art and the artist Frans Kat, has been commissioned in many restoration works in and around Adelaide. There were so many glass artworks on display and ready to hang by the purchaser directly in front of their existing window. I can just imagine the spectacle of coloured lights dancing in the house as the sun shines through it, magical. All I have to do is save up for it now! The artist has entered in many art festivals and exhibitions, also certain creations are considered to be collectors items and are in private homes worldwide. Simply stunning and definitely worth a look.

(FYI, I totally guessed a D in a slight moment of panic and it turned out to be correct! Good one, Brain.) OPSM is now in the same building as Australia Post and Woolworths, which is right at the end of Jetty Road. (Brighton Road end) This was my first appointment since I was 16, so I was a bit nervous going by myself. The last optometrist I saw didn't explain anything and the selection of glasses weren't the most fashionable. The optometrist I saw was Robert Seiler. He was really friendly and explained everything well. You can have a couple more tests done, for a smallish extra fee but I opted out this time. It turns out my random correct guessing of the small text didn't fool anyone. I was helped by a lovely assistant, whose name I unfortunately can't remember, and chose a fashionable pair of reading glasses. They have what I'd say is a perfect amount of choices. All up, the entire appointment (including the glasses and $29 insurance on them) was meant to cost $400, but thanks to Medicare and Bupa, I only spent $200! Bupa gives you 20% off your glasses :) So if you're in need of an eye test, I'd definitely recommend this OPSM.

Now I'm usually the kind of person that buys their sunnies cheap so, should I break or lose them, I don't need to mourn over any failed investment. But with a new job, I decided it was time to go looking for something a little more than the usual $5.00. $20.00, perhaps. Hell, maybe even $30.00. Imagine my surprise, then, when I discovered the Ray-Bans in my hand were worth $100.00! It was at this moment of vulnerability I was beset upon by a cheery salesman, offering his aid. Stupidly, I inquired about a discount. He offered me a forty dollar voucher. Stupidly, I was accepted. We approached the register - me with the sunglasses that were soon to be mine, he with the happy prospect of a sale. He put the order through and asked for the $100.00. I inquired about the voucher. He revealed I would not be able to use the voucher until my next purchase. I was perturbed, but it made sense. And I suppose I still had forty dollars to spend here after I inevitably broke or lost the expensive glasses I was buying. I gave him my money and he finished running the transaction through the machine. He waited until after he had handed me the receipt to inform me of this very important fact: the voucher may only be redeemed with a $90.00 purchase. 'By the way,' he had begun. It's standard, of course. It makes sense. But the way he withheld the information... I can't help but feel he was trying to trick me into the purchase. I felt violated.

Things haven't changed much, they have a great range of designer sunnies, but expect a high price tag, the cheapest pairs in here are close to the $100 mark. I agree with Mario P. that the staff are not beyond reproach when it comes to a sale. They can be quite pushy, make sure you push back just as hard. Having said that they have a fantastic array of my fave brand Bvlgari, nice to look wistfully at. In a nutshell - designer sunnies galore!
