Now that I'm getting older bifocals are in order (sad isn't it). As I happened to be in the shopping complex I popped in to make an appointment for the following week. I was offered a number of times the optometrist would be available and booked a time.
Arriving for my appointment it was straight forward and just had to provide my Medicare Card for full payment, so no out of pocket for the eye check.
A staff member did some of my machine eye tests in readiness to give the results to the optometrist, then I was whisked into his rooms for my consultation. I was even given some free contact lenses to take with me to try.
After the appointment, a staff member helped me select suitable frames and discussed the lense options, and account paperwork.
The only negative is a two week wait on my spectacle lenses, and paying the gap for the glasses. read more
