This shop sells the widest range of unique frames that I've seen in Adelaide. I disagree with Scott on this one - stay away from Rundle mall, because the glasses shops along there sell all the same stuff! Ditto for Marion Shopping Centre and TTP. The owner of this store is a lovely guy who also offers to fix broken glasses. He takes real pride in his shop and works hard at sourcing a wide range of original frames. There are definitely some statement glasses in here, with lots of styles that are very simple if you look from the front but with a lot of detail at the sides. You're likely to find something that really suits you here, if you're looking for something a bit more interesting than an ordinary pair of frames. Framed Optical at Semaphore is a relatively basic eye sight improvement dispencery (thought that title was more impressive than 'glasses store'). They stock a variety of mens, ladies and 'those who can't decide' frames ranging from the super hip to the ones built to get you beaten up for your lunch money! Yes. 5 stars : this IS as good as it gets. Framed Optical ticks all the boxes with easy parking, accessible opening hours and days ( with the after hrs option). The shop itsef is great, so well considered and spacious. allowing freedom of movement and a range that allows for time and focus to consider properly. David, the owner, is very helpful and certainly knows his stuff, suggesting frame types to match my "face shape" which proved invaluable in helping me make a much better selection that my initial pick! Prices good. Range sensational - and per my lovely lady's excitement - most of these frame styles are sold ONCE only providing a feeling of "uniqueness". David's service and suggestions were excellent and we walked away with smiles on our faces - especially when Semaphore is such a great place to spend the rest of the day. Shopping local. Why not? Personal service. AND, absolutely my best experience with an optical shop. Been wearing glasses nearly 30 years, all adult years. I expected my new lens to be used just for reading, as they are bi-focals. But I haven't taken them off since I got them. I'm seeing better than I have in possibly a decade or two. The 'reading' area is perfect. I think others got this wrong. Was very impressed from exam, to collection, and with the results. Can't fault them. Thank you. read more
