Now in my adult life, on the rare occasion that I choose to visit a clinic this is the one I still stand by. It's convenient, its local and it is covered by Medicare. The staff are friendly and the Doctors for the most part (but not whole part) are great. Additionally I find Kingswood Clinic to be fairly efficient and unlike many other clinics, I have never found myself waiting long to see a Doctor. Having said that, it definitely helps to make an appointment prior to attending.

Not once was I made to feel uncomfortable, or judged as to how the decay occurred. The empathy shown by Dr Michael Filosi was to an excellent standard, and made an unpleasant event the best it could be. I was consistently reassured throughout the process, and knew I was able to pause the procedure if needed. Dr Filosi was attentive to my body language and listened when I said there was pain. The professionalism and kindness of the entire practice and especially Dr Filosi has set this practice apart from the rest, and has made a difference in how I view going to the dentist. The follow up care, personalisation, and making you the centre of the treatment has made this practice the top of dental standard, and the only practice I'll go to. I was offered a number of times the optometrist would be available and booked a time. Arriving for my appointment it was straight forward and just had to provide my Medicare Card for full payment, so no out of pocket for the eye check. A staff member did some of my machine eye tests in readiness to give the results to the optometrist, then I was whisked into his rooms for my consultation. I was even given some free contact lenses to take with me to try. After the appointment, a staff member helped me select suitable frames and discussed the lense options, and account paperwork. The only negative is a two week wait on my spectacle lenses, and paying the gap for the glasses.

What a wonderful place…read more This review is for all the people who are afraid of going to a public dentist, especially to a learner dentist at a public dental school. I didn't have the money to get my wisdom teeth out, and had to go the public health services route. I am so glad I did! I hopped in the chair and was attended to a student who was not only hot (which was admittedly weird; nobody wants a hot stranger rummaging around in their mouth before at least one good boozy date) but also the most friendly, positive and focused of any dentists I've been to. He was incredibly gentle too and I felt no pain after the first anaesthetic jabs. They suck but they are about the same amount of pain as having blood taken from your arm. A lot of my friends have chosen to have the full anaesthetic while having their teeth extracted. Maybe if you need all four removed at the same time, you might choose that. (I only needed two removed). But I really want to tell you that even for someone like me, who gets shaky at the mere thought of dentists, it is much less painful than you'd imagine. So if you are waiting, quaking in your boots, for some pimply-faced dental student to do a little shop of horrors number on your face, take a deep breath and relax. These guys are being taught so well, both in 'customer service' (otherwise known as being a nice human being) and in dentistry. They'll leave you smiling!
