The B&B is just large enough for about three couples: with three rooms and three parking spaces. Each room is on a different floor of the three story house, so you feel as though you have a quiet area all to yourself, but still get to meet interesting people and socialize with the proprietor at breakfast. The room we stayed in (M&M) was very homey, clean, and comfortable. It was quiet at night despite being off a busy street. I can't say enough good things about Josephine's: it was an easy location to find, right near the beach/bay and wonderful hiking at World's End. One of the only minor things was that mini shampoos were not provided (only aromatherapy body scrub), not that I expected any, so that doesn't take away any stars in my mind. Highly recommend!

They were warm and welcoming, and the food was outstanding--most especially the raspberry French toast! Our spacious room was on the top floor, off the B&B's common area. Josephine's is extremely clean, comfortable, and charming, decorated with antiques, old family photos, rocking chairs, desks, and an abundance of books. It's in a scenic area with easy access to the ferry (if you're headed to Boston or the airport) and other pretty areas to explore. Annmarie generously shared recommendations of her favorite restaurants, printed out directions for our destinations, and was also eager to investigate special areas of interest to us. We look forward to returning!

I was very unsure which area to stay in, but I'm so happy I chose CCB because the location is absolutely perfect. Back Bay is very nice and safe. You even have a wonderful park just outside the doorstep to walk around, and the lovely Boston Commons only two blocks away. Check-in/out was one of the most seamless experiences I've had with hotels/airbnbs. I didn't have to check in with anyone, and I received the door code a few days before. They have a lovely dining room for guests with homemade cookies, fruit, coffee and tea. Unfortunately I didn't take advantage of the breakfast, but I'm sure it's great too. CCB is really the perfect mix of a hotel and bed/breakfast. I was unsure about doing the solo room with a shared bathroom, but other than having to wait for the other guest to finish his shower so I could take an urgent bio break, it was no issue at all and I would hands down do it again. I'm pretty sure the other floors have a bathroom if you absolutely need it though. For the location, price, comfort, and amenities, College Club of Boston is a no brainer. I got the please to quickly meet the GM on my way out, and she is super sweet. I even left my airpods in the room, and without hesitation they are shipping them back to me. 5 starts forsure.

The venue itself was breathtakingly beautiful, clean, and presentable. We requested a charcuterie board, champagne, and fruit platter, and it was stunningly displayed and high quality. This luxury bed & breakfast was absolutely amazing!! The owner greeted us upon our early arrival. She was so adorable, polite, and warm welcoming. She even allowed us to check in 1hr early. Also Heather did an outstanding job with cleaning the suite for check-in ready. I suffer from obsessive control disorders. The way Heather cleaned the suite actually helped me cope with my disorder. The entire suite passed my white glove cleanliness ritual. The smell was so delightful. It was almost like smelling fresh air inside lol. This place was so calming & relaxing. I didn't want my little getaway stay to end. This place is definitely a 10 out of 10.

A relaxing getaway in the South Boston…read more After a trip to Montreal and NYC, we were seeking a little solitude from our typical trip to Boston. In most cases, we would stay in the heart of the city. This is a great side trip outside of summer, when the rates are great and you don't want to go as far out as Cape Cod. This trip took us from plane to city, from train to boat, from taxi to city and from car to village. In Hull, we were 30 minutes or less from everything we needed to access; Plymouth (the rock), Milton (the grand babes) and the towns of Cohasset and Hingham (for coffee, food, and shopping). The owner of the Beacon Luxury Waterfront Inn greeted us, as we arrived before dark, with easy upfront parking. Into the Atlantic suite, with water views (and although fall, the weather was temperate, not hot, but not too cold yet). We selected this room, as it was on the corner with water views. The suite itself was huge with a private bath, jacuzzi tub, fireplace and I must admit they were both used nightly to not only to slow down from all the traveling but also after sightseeing, outings and spending time with family. Each morning a simple continental breakfast is served. This is probably the thing we liked the least, but we knew what to expect. We prefer a bed and breakfast with a full breakfast, but we did enjoy our room and slept comfortably with the amenities available. If anything, not being food focused got us going earlier in the morning for a new adventure. I highly recommend stepping outside the city sometime and exploring the smaller places. This is what makes New England so charming. #OutsideBoston #Hull #TheBeaconLuxuryWaterfrontInn #NewEngland

I flew in late to Boston so I entered the house really late, but there was no problem! At the Morrison House, I stayed at the Little Room - it was very cozy and cute, perfect size for a young girl like myself. The bed was nice and I slept very well. It was also nice to have a heating system that I can adjust perfectly. I shared a bathroom with the guests in the Davis Room, which was no problem because I shower at night and no one else did. The bathroom was kept very clean and, also very cute. I also liked how the guests have chance to meet each other when they all come down for breakfast between 8-9 am. Since I mostly get to talk with people of my age back in school, it was a refreshing feeling to get to know older couples, etc. The Morrison House is in a perfect little college town too. I got to enjoy some great foods, including the hamburger shop that was introduced in Diners, Drive-ins and Dives, one of my favorite TV show! :D The fee was also reasonable, so I would like to give Morrison House a five-star! I would definitely come back if there is an occasion.

No one batted an eye at my partner's Looney Tunes t-shirt and shorts. I was better dressed (...definitely the Odd Couple), and we were both made to feel welcome. The cocktails were made well, and the table service was at a good pace--not rushed, but not dragged-on unnecessarily. The food was also quite good. The portions were right-sized, which was appreciated since our B&B did not have a refrigerator in the room. Though I no longer remember what we had (...probably lamb for me and Bolognese for my partner), I do remember that it was a good representation of the advertised dish--not some high concept, deconstructed bullsh*t. The desert martinis were more memorable than whatever cake we chose, but--again--I can't remember the desert being bad, just forgettable. Comfortable bed, two chairs, side table, hutch as a closet, wet bar with microwave, small refrig w/frz & coffee maker, The Bathroom & shower with seat is great. The houseboat was exceptionally clean with all components in good working order. Amenities provided was impressive: Peets Coffee, teas, creamer, yogurt, juices, water and breakfast pastries. Jon offered to refill anything I might need. Wifi worked great, wall mounted TV with Roku, thermostatically controlled AC unit and base board manually controlled heat. Green Turtle location is AMAZING, berthed on the last dock in the Charleston Marina with sweeping views in every direction. The Marina is within walking distance to ferries, shuttles and services. The Marina houses many high-end yachts. It should be noted, the houseboat is anchored on a two-sided dock. When the other side of the dock is occupied, it impedes the panoramic view. Regardless, the view at in every direction was lovely and I enjoyed seeing the neighbor yacht up close. I highly recommend the Green Turtle!

From walking the docks to my room at the end of the day, to waking up to the sunny reflection of the ocean dancing on the ceiling above my bed in the morning, my dulled traveler's senses were getting all kinds of new feedback. The inn keepers, Jon and Karen, are a jovial couple who've been living on a sailboat for a quarter century and have succeed in recreating the experience for their guests. Karen also happens to cook a mean breakfast (the bacon, egg, on English muffin being my favorite). My biggest take way from this experience? When planning future travels take a moment investing less traditional places to stay and if you're coming to Boston stay at the magical Green Turtle.
