Just being open around 4 months, the place was recommended to me by my Cardiff friends, and was an ideal place for our large group to meet on a Saturday afternoon. The shop located on a corner with massive windows providing a good place to people watch and enjoy views outside. It is very minimalistic yet very spacious with a large array of vintage furniture which gives it an "established" feel despite being a young coffee shop. I was very impressed with that Little Man are very proud to feature at least two roasters at all times. This day I had a soy latte using coaltown espresso blend and a v60 using the wonderful James Gourmet Coffee from the very knowledgeable staff. I saw Aeropress, Chemex and V60 on offer.. I didn't get a chance to peak at the cakes or if they had a menu but I was very curious to see how they can use this huge space for events in future. Such a great Coffee shop with much potential!

I went straight for their own cold brew coffee (that comes in a lovely little bottle) which was excellent, nice and mellow, leaving me refreshed and suitably caffeinated. I'd expect the hot drinks match the quality. I wish I'd had a little more time to be able to settle in or go back, seems a good place to set up for a few hours, and when I left I wished I could take it back home with me to do just that! I suspect that if I had more of a chance to try everything they have this would get 5 stars.

So, like a suspicious fox poking her nose into an open chicken-coup, I stepped inside, and to my delight found a beautiful little place that I would certainly frequent again and again. The staff were deliriously friendly and accommodating. Work was going on on their coffee machine, so I couldn't have a espresso coffee, but fortunately they had filter coffee on hand. And it was delicious. Luckily for them. I sat in the window looking out into Royal Arcade, feeling arty with my copy of Atonement held up on display to the world as I sipped delicately from my little cup. Although I've yet to try their cuisine, it looked pretty good, and hot food is available. I'll be back. I forgot to ask for their opening hours though...

That lovely little secret that gets Chinese whispered around the town by people who all think no one else knows about it. And yet I come here and find it only has one review? It's a travesty. In my humble opinion, cafés like this usually get the reputation for coolness because they actively cultivate it. It's a self-awareness that I find eminently unattractive in an eatery; I want my food made by someone who cares more about the flavour than checking out their hair in the reflection on the kettle. I'm aware that given the competition in this market, it's a sad fact that the continued survival of a business like this usually relies on the perceived cool factor, but Harley's is proof that you don't need a gimmick to be successful. You just need to serve good food. And Harley's do. They bridge that gap between nostalgic, grease laden grub that your nan used to buy you on days out and healthy, salad-and-carbs food that you really think you should be eating, providing flavour for every taste.

I really think it deserves its own business page separate of the actual shop although the two obviously go hand in hand. ~ Atmosphere: It's just a tiny place. The stairs leading up to the restaurant from Wally's Delicatessen only have room for one person and during busy periods you might need to squeeze past quite a few people. The cafe itself is quite tiny as well but there are plenty of tables available. However, it's not good for large groups mind. ~ Customer Service: Quite good. The food came out promptly and we were served almost immediately despite how busy the cafe was! ~ Food: I came here for lunch so I can't comment on their breakfasts. They do quite a few different varieties of open sandwiches that all sounds very appetising. Since it was around Christmas-time, they also had a seasonal turkey, cranberry, and stuffing sandwich on offer. However, my partner and I opted for a sharing platter, the Wurst & Kase Aufschnitt for £15.50 (for 2 people to share). On the platter was an assortment of continental sausages, hams, soft and hard cheese, balsamic onions, feta stuffed red peppers, olives, and wholemeal bread and cheese biscuits. It was all very lovely and I especially enjoyed those feta stuffed red peppers! Even though my partner and I are normally big eaters, the platter was more than enough for the both of us anyway. --- I'd definitely come back to Wally's not just to browse their amazing shop downstairs, but their Kaffeehaus is also amazing. I highly recommend not missing out on this one!

The cafes' specilaities are its range of breakfasts through which it offers a full english, veggie breakfast and special brunch (all of which are available throughout the day). The cafe has a bit of a rugby theme with rugby pictures & photos dotted along the wall and this extends to its breakfast baguettes range whereby you can purchase a Triple Crown baguette (bacon, onions, mushroom & black pudding) or a GrandSlam baguette (bacon, egg, sausage, mushroom & tomato). So it makes the ideal starting point to the day of an international rugby union match involving Wales. The place is very clean, tidy & bright and is also well staffed (so you are always been quick to be seen to & served). The staff are very friendly & helpful in point of fact. I cannot recommend this place highly enough and is one of my regular ports of call on a trip to Cardiff to see a rugby match, gig/concert etc.

Don't get me wrong - the employees were very nice and pleasant, but like Tanya P. said they seemed to joke around with each other more than they were getting the job done. As I was ordering my drink, the woman who made the drinks kept flirting with the cashier asking if he thinks she'll look good with red hair. I look around. 5 tables were not yet cleared - all had used cups and plates from customers who were long gone. I'm all for having a laugh during work hours, but please don't do it at the cost of, you know, actually working. Drinks: I ordered a venti hot chocolate with skim milk. I'm not a coffee person, so hot chocolate is my go-to staple at all coffeehouses. And it was dreadful. Tasted really bitter and not chocolate-y at all. The milk froth was an absolute mess too. Starbucks isn't famous for having good drinks, but my experience was a bit too much. Needless to say, I probably should've gone to Coffee #1 just down the road instead. At least they have Wi-Fi?
