I went here twice now, 1st was a 0 taper fade while I had my long hair, 2nd I cut off the hair and went with a mid fade comb over (Yes lame). Cheap and open 7 days a week for convenience. You get what you pay for. They don't pay much attention to detail or to the explanation that you give them prior to cutting your hair. My son has had horrible razor burn and had an eye brow accidentally trimmed. We will be looking for a new barber. read more

At the time, I remember the owner explaining he had to charge a lot because of his rent. So I didn't return for several years. The shop is obviously under new management now, with all women barbers, which is okay with me. In my experience, women barbers are more detailed and careful than men. Okay okay, I guess I'm biased. My barber did a good job cutting my hair, with a taper cut. Yes, only $13! The haircut was not rushed at all. The price here is literally half the price I pay elsewhere for a similar cut. Will not be going back and would not recommend. First- this is the least clean barber shop I have ever seen. Huge mounds of hair everywhere and no effort to sweep in between customers or maintain hygiene of any form. (I immediately regretted having sandals on when taking my son in.) My son has longer hair and was looking for a trim but on the longer side. He had a photo and yet the barber kept cutting- even with both of us asking him to not go any shorter. Looking around we should have known- they were doing the exact same fireman super short cut on each person in there. The barber seemed annoyed that my son asked it to not be any shorter and he just kept cutting. Needless to say, what he received was in direct conflict with what he (repeatedly) asked for. If you just need someone to shave you down like a sheep without any feedback- maybe this is an ok place. But we will not be going back. read more

Great experience at this old-fashioned cash only barber shop in Dublin. I came in this morning and took a number at the front desk. The place was buzzing with activity but I was called within 10 minutes. My barber was quiet and efficient, did not engage in chit chat like some of the others (which earned her an extra dollar on her tip). She finished my cut in ten minutes and proceeded to do a single-razor sideburn, behind-the-ear and neck line cleanup (complete with shaving brush and lather, just like in the good old days). This was followed by a neck and shoulder massage - a first for me at a barber shop, but I'm not complaining! And all this cost me just $12 before tip. Wow! No more chain barber shops for me. Wow I always said I didn't care about my hair cut. I decided to try this place out even though they had bad reviews. I figured, "how bad can it be?" I asked for 3 on the sides and shorten the top. Simple enough. After getting home I noticed that the left side of my hair is longer than the right side. When I showered, the back of my neck really hurt and it was red from their razor. I was a bit nervous when he used a razor on my dad's neck and sides because my dad has dementia and may not remember to not move, but it turned out well. My husband and son are refulars at this place. They have very skillful hairstylists and barbers. Some clients gave their favorites, so they tend to wait until their favorite stylist is ready. Service is fast. You get a clean cut without the fuss (or flare). The service is very good and it's very reasonable. My kids like coming here because of the lollipop that kids get after a haircut. I was surprised to see that Hog's Breath is open during this quarantine. They are cutting hair outside and it's very workable. I have not been there before, but I've wanted to give them a try. I'm very glad I did. My barber was Kevin who gave me one of the most thorough haircuts I've ever had and work well above their fees. I got a very tight fade with a hard part for almost nothing. My go-to barber shop when I'm "broke" ASF for that solid haircut swag that I usually splurge at my regular go-to. I came across this place when I was looking at random coupons that were printed at the back of the nearby Safeway receipt; I was about to crumple it & toss it to a trash can outside the store, and I immediately noticed a big, bold $9.99 coupon for a haircut at Hog's Breath Barber Shop a few years back; since then, I've managed to get a haircut here every once in awhile - since the price point is VERY affordable for those ballin' on a budget - in you know what I mean. *wink* The shop has gotten vibrant these last few years - brighter lighting, more TV monitors, spacious & ample seating for those waiting, and they have managed to get a steady clientele of young & the not so young men that come and go, take a number, sit down, and wait for their desired barber (barbress? is that a word?) LOL - since they are all women, except for the owner and another guy. They seem to be doing well, as I have gotten my haircuts as bald fades/tapered/combovers with a hard part, and stuck with one lady, too bad I forgot her name. I've also gotten a Hot Barber Shave, priced at $25, from a different lady, which to my amazement, did a good job for a close shave, in my opinion. Not to mention, did I say they massage you on the head and neck, finishing off with a hot towel?! Yee. Their location is conveniently located, off the junction of 580/680 interchange, and a few minutes away from the Stoneridge Mall vicinity, and the many stores & restaurants that surround this business in the area that is now known as, "Downtown Dublin". Parking is a-plenty right outside the shop, as it shares with nearby businesses, in addition, to the place that's always buzzing with activity - yet, it isn't THAT too long of a wait, especially, during their 'down time' - which is from like 1-3 p.m. on weekends. They are open everyday, and you can come and go as you please, no appointments needed. Walk-ins are the best way to get in and get out. Despite the many not-so-good/negative reviews for this place, I love supporting local businesses, and $12 for a men's haircut is something you can't say no to, especially if you're always on the go.
