Each hair cutter always ask how the customer wants their hair to be cut. Then, the hair cutter proceeds to cut as described by the customer. Every hair cutter is polite and will talk to customer during their work. In most cases, there is a short wait but well worth it. Prices have gone up through the years but it is still less expensive as chain hair cutting places. Definitely, Hog's Breath Barber Shop is highly recommended. read more

Meh. More of a barebones chop shop than a barbershop. Mainly clipper cuts. Southeast Asian workers get the job done without much banter. Some are expressionless. Mismatched chairs. Some have lumpy cushions. Mixed results depending on the worker. It's always a crap shoot. Might be good in a pinch but otherwise needs much improvement. read more

I wouldn't recommend showing them pictures or asking for anything specific--they will likely mess it up. This place is very much "you get what you pay for." The cuts are fast and cheap, and if that's all you're looking for, then it might work for you. But if you care about details, precision, or following a reference photo, this probably isn't the right barber shop. read more

Good Old Fashion Hair Cuts! No apps or appointments! 1. Price per cut beats others! Ranges from $16-20, Cash only! They usually have 4 chairs and if you like a certain stylist/barber you can wait for them. 2. The team is all AAPI & Vietnamese, I love their culture. If this brothers you please go someone else. They get to be who they are and you get to choose where you get a cut. 3. They have passion to style & cut well, Not many places will give you a skin/bald fade. read more

Ignore the 3.5 star rating based on the reviews. This is the best barber shop I have been to in the Tri-Valley. You can get a zero fade haircut with a straight razor shave for under $30. The barbers do a very good job. Just a heads up, they only take cash and there is very rarely a short wait. Expect to wait on the weekends over an hour. They get extremely busy, but they are efficient. read more

I dropped in based on the review by Yelp Elite, Chris L. I was very pleasantly surprised. I got a great haircut at a reasonable price. Men's haircuts are $15. I didn't catch the name of the woman who cut my hair, but she was fast and good. I felt like I got a perfect haircut in less than 15 minutes. And there was not waiting! I was in and out lickety split. Oh, it's cash only, so get a 20 from the ATM before you come here. read more

I've seen this place for a while and have never tried it. Decided one day to try it because I didn't want to drive a longer distance to my go to barber shop and besides, my barber had left. Needed a new person and closer to home. Tried this place and would recommend you giving it a try. Professional hair cutters. Simple set up. No hype. No gimmicks. . Just an easy unpretentious place for a great haircut at a very fair price! read more

This spot is great if you want a hassle free, open consistently, pop in and out, excellent hair cut experience. Oh, the prices are good too, $15-$20. I went here twice now, 1st was a 0 taper fade while I had my long hair, 2nd I cut off the hair and went with a mid fade comb over (Yes lame). Do not expect to sit on the chair for an hour, have barber shop talk, get shaved by a knife, etc. This spot is strictly solid hair cuts and cash only. read more

Ok if you just want them to give you whatever haircut they want. My son had a picture of a cut pretty close to what his haircut looks like now. The lady said yeah it's not going to look exactly like that but will try. Our fault. We should've left at that point. I'm all for supporting local businesses but we don't be back. read more

$15 cash can't be beat. Thought about trying to cut my own hair initially, but this place keeps me happy. Sometimes there's a line but there's usually 4 to 5 barbers actively cutting so it doesn't take that long. Attention to detail. Clean Fade.. professional read more

Cheap and open 7 days a week for convenience. You get what you pay for. They don't pay much attention to detail or to the explanation that you give them prior to cutting your hair. My son has had horrible razor burn and had an eye brow accidentally trimmed. We will be looking for a new barber. read more

"Good Haircut for only $13!" This barbershop has definitely improved. The last time I was here, the price was much higher, for a mediocre haircut. At the time, I remember the owner explaining he had to charge a lot because of his rent. So I didn't return for several years. The shop is obviously under new management now, with all women barbers, which is okay with me. In my experience, women barbers are more detailed and careful than men. Okay okay, I guess I'm biased. My barber did a good job cutting my hair, with a taper cut. Yes, only $13! The haircut was not rushed at all. The price here is literally half the price I pay elsewhere for a similar cut. I did not think the staff was particularly friendly, but for $13, I can live with that. read more

The wait is crazy! Then they don't even do a good job fading the haircut. Service from the staff is so rude!

Great pricing and excellent value. All barbers can do fades well. Definitely recommend.

The Service, quality and price is the best in town. I tried other place on my style of haircut and not always comes out good.

The girl on the right is not good. I showed her a picture of the haircut I wanted, but she did the exact opposite. She gave me a fade instead of a taper and cut my hair really short. I don't recommend going to this place. Instead, I recommend cutting your hair yourself rather than going here. i will not be coming back here. She needs to fired! read more

Great experience at this old-fashioned cash only barber shop in Dublin. I came in this morning and took a number at the front desk. The place was buzzing with activity but I was called within 10 minutes. My barber was quiet and efficient, did not engage in chit chat like some of the others (which earned her an extra dollar on her tip). She finished my cut in ten minutes and proceeded to do a single-razor sideburn, behind-the-ear and neck line cleanup (complete with shaving brush and lather, just like in the good old days). This was followed by a neck and shoulder massage - a first for me at a barber shop, but I'm not complaining! And all this cost me just $12 before tip. Wow! No more chain barber shops for me. Next time I need a haircut, I'm heading straight to Hogs Breath! read more

Wow I always said I didn't care about my hair cut. I decided to try this place out even though they had bad reviews. I figured, "how bad can it be?" I asked for 3 on the sides and shorten the top. Simple enough. After getting home I noticed that the left side of my hair is longer than the right side. When I showered, the back of my neck really hurt and it was red from their razor. I'm never coming back again. How did they mess up doing a 3 on the sides. The left side is significantly longer than the right side... read more

Will not be going back and would not recommend. First- this is the least clean barber shop I have ever seen. Huge mounds of hair everywhere and no effort to sweep in between customers or maintain hygiene of any form. (I immediately regretted having sandals on when taking my son in.) My son has longer hair and was looking for a trim but on the longer side. He had a photo and yet the barber kept cutting- even with both of us asking him to not go any shorter. Looking around we should have known- they were doing the exact same fireman super short cut on each person in there. The barber seemed annoyed that my son asked it to not be any shorter and he just kept cutting. Needless to say, what he received was in direct conflict with what he (repeatedly) asked for. If you just need someone to shave you down like a sheep without any feedback- maybe this is an ok place. But we will not be going back. read more

My husband and son are refulars at this place. They have very skillful hairstylists and barbers. Some clients gave their favorites, so they tend to wait until their favorite stylist is ready. Service is fast. You get a clean cut without the fuss (or flare). The service is very good and it's very reasonable. My kids like coming here because of the lollipop that kids get after a haircut. And they also provide kids' reading materials to keep our toddlers busy. read more

This review is ONLY for the woman on the left side in the middle station. She is obviously very talented and we have waited and will always wait for her. Took my dad here for the first time. Kevin did an awesome job. I was a bit nervous when he used a razor on my dad's neck and sides because my dad has dementia and may not remember to not move, but it turned out well. Kevin made sure the top blended into the sides. I brought my dad for a haircut over a month ago somewhere else; they didn't blend it well and he had hair sticking out on the side. I plan to bring my dad back to Kevin the next time he needs a haircut. read more

I would not recommend this place. I showed them a pic of what I wanted for my son and they yelled at me and said we can't recreate it. I said it doesn't have to be exact but something clean and simile. They gave him something completely different and not clean. Won't be going back read more

Great place and following good COVID procedures. Was worried to get hair cut, but was one of only people in there today, and they were very careful. I was surprised to see that Hog's Breath is open during this quarantine. They are cutting hair outside and it's very workable. I have not been there before, but I've wanted to give them a try. I'm very glad I did. My barber was Kevin who gave me one of the most thorough haircuts I've ever had and work well above their fees. I got a very tight fade with a hard part for almost nothing. The last time I had a haircut this precise and well done was about 30 years ago in London. Well done Hog's Breath! You have a new customer. read more

My go-to barber shop when I'm "broke" ASF for that solid haircut swag that I usually splurge at my regular go-to. I came across this place when I was looking at random coupons that were printed at the back of the nearby Safeway receipt; I was about to crumple it & toss it to a trash can outside the store, and I immediately noticed a big, bold $9.99 coupon for a haircut at Hog's Breath Barber Shop a few years back; since then, I've managed to get a haircut here every once in awhile - since the price point is VERY affordable for those ballin' on a budget - in you know what I mean. *wink* The shop has gotten vibrant these last few years - brighter lighting, more TV monitors, spacious & ample seating for those waiting, and they have managed to get a steady clientele of young & the not so young men that come and go, take a number, sit down, and wait for their desired barber (barbress? is that a word?) LOL - since they are all women, except for the owner and another guy. They seem to be doing well, as I have gotten my haircuts as bald fades/tapered/combovers with a hard part, and stuck with one lady, too bad I forgot her name. I've also gotten a Hot Barber Shave, priced at $25, from a different lady, which to my amazement, did a good job for a close shave, in my opinion. Not to mention, did I say they massage you on the head and neck, finishing off with a hot towel?! Yee. Their location is conveniently located, off the junction of 580/680 interchange, and a few minutes away from the Stoneridge Mall vicinity, and the many stores & restaurants that surround this business in the area that is now known as, "Downtown Dublin". Parking is a-plenty right outside the shop, as it shares with nearby businesses, in addition, to the place that's always buzzing with activity - yet, it isn't THAT too long of a wait, especially, during their 'down time' - which is from like 1-3 p.m. on weekends. They are open everyday, and you can come and go as you please, no appointments needed. Walk-ins are the best way to get in and get out. Despite the many not-so-good/negative reviews for this place, I love supporting local businesses, and $12 for a men's haircut is something you can't say no to, especially if you're always on the go. Highly recommended if you're looking for a no-frills place, and some eye candy. Haha. read more

I would give this place a negative rating if I could. When Mary was working here this place was amazing but now they refuse to cut my hair. Shout out to the lady that has seen me many times and skipped asking me when it was my turn and then refused to cut my hair. Worst of the worst places to ever get a haircut. I do understand they offer reasonable prices but the employees give such a bad attitude if you request them to make even slight changes to the hair style they give initially.
