The interaction, attitude, the level of disrespect and etiquette was about as bad as it could get. I needed $400 for a small real estate deal this afternoon, not wanting to take a cash advance on a card and I thought wow, I've lived in Leander for over 10 years, driven by this store on my way to the car wash next door. Lemme see what I can get. First off, I'm extremely aware of the idea what we have is never worth as much as we think. I've traded in dozens of sets of clubs over the past 50 years, I use the PGA Retail Value trade in guide as a barometer and their book is vers valuable. It's solid. Dicks Sporting Goods, PGA Superstore, Golf Galaxy all use this very guide. And I get it, they only had 2 bags of clubs in there they wanted $60-$100 for and 1 were more than 10 years old, and 1 set was at least 20 years old. I was polite, waited patiently, wasn't expecting anything else...and he wouldn't give me more than $100 for the clubs on a loan, and I couldn't replace the bag & clubs for under $1500. Impossible. Of course, that's probably why they don't have any clubs in there because they're dismissive and rude, and it's fine because I don't need the money that bad. What this little man didn't know was I had a Tag in my pocket I would've sold for $$ he could've made nice money on but once the disrespectful tone & attitude took over that was a non-starter for me. I pawned the clubs elsewhere for $350, which all I really needed. I won't be back, I'll never forget.

However I did walk in right at 11:00 a.m. and gave these guys no time to settle into their day. I was greeted by Seth who was not only 100% professional and extremely helpful but he was genuinely kind. This is from what I can tell a higher end establishment that just so happens to sell a few budget firearms. However I didn't feel like they were looking down on me for my financial status and they treated me as though I was a high-end customer. Accepted research for me and helped me come to the conclusion that the pistol I was trying to trade in was sold to me or a rip off price. If it wasn't for him I wouldn't have been able to confront the guy who ripped me off and get my money back. So thank you Seth Not only that they sold me an excellent firearm at an excellent price! Smith & Wesson M&P shield performance center chambered in 40 Smith & Wesson with two magazines and fiber optic sites. $200 I couldn't believe it!!! Needless to say I snagged that bad boy off of them and not only do I feel like I got a good deal but I feel like I found a new gun store. Guys they have everything!!! I mean you really name it they have it. Aftermarket accessories for pistols, AR-15s ect... Range / duty belts, wide selection of ammunition both FMJ and defensive JHP. And what a selection of firearms!!!! Guys I'm telling you if you're looking for a used gun I would definitely recommend these guys. Everything in here is so appropriately priced and they use true gunvalue.com to value their firearms. This place is legit The guys are great in the products are awesome. Thank you Seth for the awesome experience I look forward to buying another firearm off you in the future.

After roughly 4.5 magazines, I noticed my rear sight had dramatically shifted to one side. It actually moves freely from 1 side to the other. Meaning either the sold me the wrong sight and installed it or the gunsmith over filed it. Waited a couple months to bring it in because I new it was most likely not an easy fix. I was told that they no longer have a gunsmith. The answer I got was, I can give you some lock tight. I was asked if it was installed there, valid question. But to have such a good rating and not honor workmanship delivered from your shop. Unprofessional and shows a complete lack of accountability. You are right to not be looking for a new gunsmith, stick to sales.

I arrived approximately 30 minutes later and spoke with the same individual, who then stated that the ammunition could not be returned due to liability concerns, despite the fact that the ammunition was unopened and untouched. Unfortunately, this is not the first time I have experienced an issue like this with this business, and as a result, I will not be returning.

I'm sorry if Halstead had a bad experience, but I can confirm that they have bullion available and on-site. The problem he had appears to be due to the fact that he thought ARCI operated more like a pawn shop. They don't. This is a much more upscale experience. Sometimes, you have to wait for product if the order is large enough. Their inventory changes hourly. They carry LOTS of rare coins that would require traveling the globe to locate. They lock the rates at the time you indicate, so I'm not sure why anybody would need to receive the product any faster than they deliver it. Finally, I want to point out that I made a spreadsheet of all of my purchases historically. ARCI has always charged me the least. For reference, EBay is the most expensive place to buy, so don't do that under any circumstances. I'm available to answer any questions, as I stated before. I like to think of ARCI as the private club version of bullion dealers, yet anybody can join for free. If you want a pawn shop, go to a pawn shop.
