TL;DR Great furniture, quality stuff. Bad customer experience. Do not recommend. Excellent quality furniture. Horrible customer service post sale. Was told by the salesperson that if we had any issues to just contact Hoffmans and they would be able to assist. Specifically mentioned that we would be moving g soon and had concerns about disassembly and reassembling the sectional. Was assured again this was a common concern and that Hoffmans would be able to provide someone to assist. It's not been a year and the speaker in the sectional only works on one side, the heated seat only work partially, the massager makes a horrible screeching noise. Additionally the planned move has come. Contacted Hoffmans and was told be the general manager that they are a "furniture sales store, they don't move furniture." I can understand the inherent liability which is why what I requested was assistance taking the sectional apart and putting it back together, I would hire movers separately. For the technical issues I was given the number for the manufacturer and subsequently referred to a technician that doesn't support my local area. The experience is why I support a small locally owned business. When that experience changes to something less than helpful there's no advantage in supporting that local business when the same product can be purchased from big box stores for a lower price. I spoke directly with Mandy the General manager. Quite possibly the least pleasant manager I've worked with ever. She made it quite clear that NO furniture company would EVER come out to assist with this type of request. I want to re-iterate, I am not asking for a free service. I am asking for a technician to come to my home and disassemble these furniture pieces for which I was never provided instructions. I fully expect this to incur an additional fee, this is what my salesman, Nathan, told me I could expect in the event I needed this service. Wish there was - stars. Be sure they put everything in writing and you get a copy if not theirs a chance you want get what you thought you were paying for. Spent $6000 on a living room set. Somehow the salesperson left the ottoman for the chair off even admitted he made a mistake. Problem is they want me to pay for his mistake. I didn't and they aren't willing to compromise. I even offered to split with them. Guess it wasn't the salesperson mistake it was mine for doing business with them. read more

I'm doing 2 stars instead of one because of prior business. Was lied to by salesperson and even though management refunded a warranty we were lied about the furniture started to fade and all we get is "do you take blood pressure medicine?" From multiple people at the store. Used to be happy shopping there but I'm "buyer beware" from now on. It's sad that I'm probably not a customer at Hoffman's anymore. read more

Purchased two Best brand recliners in 2018. Noticed sometime later that the supposedly identical chairs were quite different in the width of the seat. Oh well. About a year later my chair started coming apart at one corner of the wooden frame. The frame is soft wood, and while there are dowel joints, there is no glue in those joints or at corner braces; all fastening is done with narrow crown staples. The failed joint on mine was due to the staples never hitting the mark properly in the first place. When the seat started caving in causing the mechanism to bind, I figured it out and called the store. I was told the frame did not have a lifetime warranty, only the mechanism. I let the lady know I was sure the frame was also covered and that I had been told so by the salesman. She said it was not, and I told her I would check my paperwork. Sure enough, I found the tag to confirm what I had said. I had let some time pass, but I called the store again and told them I wanted to bring the chair in for warranty. Immediately the lady told me the store had been purchased (not relevant as they are a Best dealer, and it is a manufacturer warranty that they are bound to service). She went on to tell me "lifetime" does not mean my lifetime, but the lifetime of the chair, at which point I told her my parents had four Best recliners that had held up longer, and that was my reason for also coming to Hoffman's to purchase Best. She then said labor charges would be my responsibility (not true, according to my copy of the warranty). She then tried to have me contact Best. Again, my warranty clearly states that claims are processed through the dealer. At this point I told her she seemed determined to not stick up for me on what was clearly a defective product. She insisted there was nothing they could do. I told her she ought to want to correct it as they are still selling Best recliners, and my only option would be to put out reviews of the situation, and I didn't want to do that. She didn't have a response to that. This business has been dishonest with me about the provisions of the warranty, both under the previous ownership, and now again under new owners. Besides being dishonest, they are insulting by offering every lame excuse that comes to mind to try to avoid rectifying the situation to the customer's satisfaction. Not to be trusted. read more

Purchased the sofa in September, had it delivered which cost me $60 to move it less than a mile. I contacted the management at the furniture store two days later and told them I felt like there was something wrong with the couch. Approximately 10 days later, a furniture repair man from Tulsa came to my home, and said that the cushions had settled, admitting that there were issues with the furniture.Jump forward with me to Wednesday before Thanksgiving, a repairman also from Tulsa came to the home, flipped the couch over and said he could not repair the couch that he was not qualified. Cushions had been left, in my garage OPEN...I went and checked shipping labels, the product was shipped in Oct. , received on November 13. Hoffman's management answer was, "repairman will be out in 3 days, December 10". This piece of furniture has not been used as it is broken. 3 months of trying to get couch repair, says one thing! Poor management and poorer customer service...do yourself a favor, drive the extra mileage. If there was a lower rating, I would give it. read more

We were looking for accent chairs and found some that were made by Best Chairs-- a company that makes chairs in Indiana. We purchased 3 chairs and will go back as we saw other furniture we liked. They also sell name brands like Bassett. Mike was our sales person and he was friendly and not pushy at all. We were able to take 2 chairs same day and ordered the 3rd. read more

If you're looking for a credible company to stand behind their product and the quality of their merchandise my suggestion is not to shop with Hoffman's ! This is not the furniture store for anyone that values customer service in the value of your dollars. I wouldn't recommend this location or any of their locations. I have a quality issue with a nailhead sofa and was told that they would not help me and I should have noticed it within 48 Hours of a paid delivery by their store manager. I had a great experience here. The furniture selection is much broader than you'd think, and the staff was helpful without ever being pushy. I ordered furniture to be delivered. All was well until the delivery people came and completely ruined one of my doors trying to get the furniture it. Then continued to take the legs off and stripping the screws putting them back on. Hoffman's does not cover delivery and wouldn't help me and told me to contact the delivery company. I would first like to say the quality of furniture appears to be good. I'm currently waiting for my item to be delivered. My complaint is in reference to the service I received while in the store. I came into the Westside location and was not greeted by anyone. However a customer who was being helped greeted me while the sales representative said nothing. I continued to browse and that same rep only said excuse me to my mother while trying to pass and still did not greet us, acknowledge us, say "I'll be with you in a minute" or anything. She only spoke to me when I asked her a question about a particular piece of furniture and instructed me to go across the street to the show room on the east side of the street. I can say the rep at the show room on the Eastside greeted us and we were shown various options for what I was looking for. He even told us to "have a good day" when I did not see what I wanted. I went back over to the Westside show room and sat in a specific location where I can see the desk and 4 employees around the desk with no acknowledgement. The same lady who did not acknowledge me the first time, walked past and looked me in my face and kept walking. I finally went up to the desk and asked for assistance. I was told by one gentleman that he was helping someone else and he got the same representative who looked at me and failed to acknowledge me. While I was waiting for my paperwork to be completed I noticed another family of a different race come into the store. They were greeted, they were smiled at and asked if there was anything that they could be help with and instructed to let them know if there was anything they could help them with since they were only looking. I did let the lady know who finished my paperwork what had occurred, how I was offended and how this was very bad business. With all of that said it's sad to see that prejudice attitudes are still on the loose. read more

RIPPED OFF AND LIED TO!! Bought a entire living room suite. Told the salesman we wanted the top of the line protection plan in case we have any accidents. Specifically asked him about things and he promised it was covered. We've had these for 1 month and called them for a warranty and guess what "that warranty doesn't cover your claim" is what we were told.
