When I called customer service, the person who assisted me told me the reason the delivery date keeps getting pushed back is because my washer and dryer will not be in stock until November 12th. My most recent purchase I came in to pay of remaining balance to find out I had been paying for multiple variations of insurance that was not fully disclosed to me. after the original purchase I had an issue and was issued a credit and removed an item from my ticket I was told They had to "Rewrite the invoice for pick up" Only to find out now that i've paid in an additional $500 over my purchase price. Disability insurance Loss of life insurance unemployment insurance. I have never added that on previous purchases why would i want it now. I found all this out while in the process of purchasing $5,000 additional of merchandise I was all typed up ready to sign when i found out my previous purchase had all these charges on it. I had to walk out on the sales person because I would be disrespecting my own self by buying after find out out i was just robbed. of money. why Do 12 months no interest when they are gonna add charges they equal more then interest anyways . Never assume they have your best interest at heart they get paid to add these insurances to your tickets. the insurance to cover damages or property loss is understandable but all these 5 other insurances are ridiculous. Make some money off of me but don't try and make your living on one transaction. Didn't belong to anybody what happened. And I go back and give them my information again and then I'm approved for 2000 but I'm wondering why when I gave them my name before I'm approved for $9,000 but then I'm only approved for 2000 buyers beware. My husband and I purchased a recliner on 9-19-19. It was delivered on 9-21. We have purchased from them several times in the past with no issues, so this experience comes as a complete shock and is really appalling. The recliner in question hadn't been in our home more than a few hours when the lever used to recline stopped working. I called the next business day (9-23) and they set up for an immediate tech to come out on 9-25. He fixed the issue and then proceeded to tell me "it is an easy fix, let me show you how to fix it". WTF??? They wanted me to continually repair the lever every time it comes undo, WHICH IS EVERY SINGLE TIME WE PUT THE RECLINER OUT. I have called, gone into the store, had managers email corporate, and yet nothing has been done to resolve this issue with a $1141 recliner!!! They called again today, offering another tech to come out to "fix" the problem, a problem that really can't be fixed (manufacturer defect, trust me, I looked at the floor model on one of my trips into the store to complain), but not for another week. I was even told, by the corporate office that had I "made the complaint within the first 48 hours" they would've replaced the recliner. I DID MAKE A COMPLAINT IN THE FIRST 48 HOURS!!! They refuse to replace or even refund this defective recliner. Corporate even hung up on me!!! ZERO STARS! THEY LOST MY LUMP SUM PAYMENT - NEVER SENT MY SETTLEMENT PAPERWORK THAT I SHOULD HAVE RECEIVED IN FEB 2020. HORRIBLE. WORSE THAN HORRIBLE. paid my balance off in full on February 27, 2020. This balance is moderately large, in the lump sum payment of $927.00- Since this, they have never sent me settlement papers, however they have sent me papers in april requesting me pay the balance that was already paid in feb- those papers also threatened sending my account to a collection agency. I called conns, spoke with the representative and they assured me that there was no reason for concern, they had flagged my account (that was closed in their office) for underwriters to send me my paperwork stating my balance in full had been paid. Flash forward to today, May 7 2020 - my account that is paid off is with a collection agency (Sequium) and is being reported to my credit as unpaid. I have been on the phone with Conns, and Sequium all morning, Conn's can see my notes from all the calls i have made, and can see my account is closed - however they cant find my payment that was made in Feburary anywhere in their systems and i have had to now track down my bank statements to send in to prove their mistakes. I assume i will never be compensated for all of this, as Conns referred to this as a minor inconvenience, that same representative for Conns (Gloria) refused to put me on the line with a manager or supervisor, and kept promising me she was sending me an email with details of my payments made on this account- however i still have not received this email, she then put me on hold - and transferred me to the collection agency they had sent my closed account too. So after speaking with their (Sequium's) Manager Trent he agreed to allow me to send in my paper work proving this has been paid, once Conn's complies and sends me the paper work. This clearly is not a minor inconvenience. A minor inconvenience is my pizza not being made on time for a pick up order. Never in my life would i ever recommend Conns to anyone. They have "lost" my payment, however luckily I have the bank statements and will stay on top of this until it is corrected. I hope other people can see this and really take into consideration how big of a company this is and how this should not be a problem 3 months on down the road from paying off your appliance. MAKE SURE YOU GET YOUR PAPERWORK FROM CONNS. THEY HAVE BEEN VERY SHADY THROUGHOUT THIS WHOLE PROCESS ABOUT MY SETTLEMENT PAPER WORK. WORST warranty experience EVER!! I have a Samsung washer & dryer I bought mid 2019. Washer went out so I contacted service dept for apt for repair. Technician arrived 3 days later, the washer needed 4 parts so nothing was done. Then the parts were "lost" by UPS a week later. So parts were re-ordered. Then technician arrives, replaces parts. Assures me he ran "tests" and it works, when asked if I can run a load before he leaves. 45 minutes later I try to do a load and it won't spin or fill. Call the technician, he answers. Then doesn't answer after Im told to wait for it to "recalibrate" with new parts...and it still doesn't work! I call to make an apt and have to wait another 4 days since it's Friday. Then he comes back out and there's an additional part needed that he was unable to detect was bad until now. I'm going on 3 weeks now without a washer, and waiting for yet another part and another appointment, which they will not make until you have said part in hand. This has been a nightmare!!!! They told us we had 15 months no interest and the first bill we got was 23% interest. The bed and mattress we purchased were flimsy poorly made and came with paint and glue visible on all joints. I could have built this bed better with a glue gun. I called to report the damage to the bed and they told me to email them pictures within the hour so I could get a rebate or a refund, so I emailed him the pictures within five minutes and never heard back from them. I emailed several hours in a row and still no response. When I called the store the next day, they said it was too late to recuperate any discount on my bed. Popped in to their new store location to take a look at 3 door French door refrigerators as mine is acting out and wanted to look before it broke and I had to rush to make a decision. The store is bigger than their old one, as it should be and looks more updated and a place you would want to walk around in. I have a narrow space in my kitchen for a refrigerator so needed a 33". They only had 2 but the prices were higher than Lowe's, Hahns or Best Buy. The salesman was pleasant. Is there a rating lower than one star? If you like over-priced items that are cheaply made and break within a week, you will LOVE Conn's! Here's the deal. I purchased a bed from Conn's with warranty and within one week- ONE WEEK- it broke. We had called Conn's and discussed our issue and they had said that it was obviously a faulty product and they would be happy to fix it. Next, we wait and wait and FINALLY they come about a month later. They only bother to fix half of it still making the bed unusable. After ANOTHER month, they came out again saying they would fix it, and they did come out just to leave saying they didn't have the right parts to fix it. Finally, just a couple days ago, I was visited by someone who was supposed to fix the bed and surprise surprise, still broken with an estimation of another month. I should not have to pay that price for a bed. In all honesty, with the cheep materials, the twin over full bed I purchased is probably only worth $200. This ordeal started in January. It is now the middle of April and they are demanding a payment. Obviously, the answer is HELL NO. NOT until my bed is fixed will I pay for this. I will NOT accept this and am very very upset by all of this. So a bed broken in January wont be fixed until May maybe even June because Conn's refuses to help. I do not blame the people working at this particular location, everyone has been very nice but the company needs to get their crap together. By the time he returns we had picked out the one we wanted to order 2 of. He was confused with our selection & had to leave again to check if they even have it in twin. WHY IS IT MARKED ON THE BED THAT THEY CARRY TWIN IN THAT MODEL? Head to register. Coupon we just printed out from website 30 minutes prior that Conns sent to my inbox 35 minutes prior had expired in May. We read that you get free delivery on purchases above a certain amount.. but in fine print mattresses don't qualify for that kind of deal. I was told I would get a call the next day on a time to deliver. Pay, sign papers & we are on our way. DELIVERY DAY 1: Received call first thing saying mattresses out of stock & didn't make it on the truck from Dallas store. He apologizes & says how about the 10th? Sure. DELIVERY DAY 2: Receive no call. About 1pm my husband calls the store to find out what is going on, he is informed that the model that we purchased and delivery was scheduled, a model they have on their sales floor marked that twin is available ... does not exist. Not only are they not being delivered, they don't have it to even sell! I was invited to come back into the store to pick out a new brand & model of twin mattress. I got the run around on it and told them to forget it and come get it. It took me a couple weeks and numerous phone calls to get it picked up. The customer service is a joke I spoke to 5 different people now and all have said something different. And guess what? Even after they pick it up they still want you to pay the full financed price of the merchandise and call relentlessly to tell you that you are past due on your payments and threaten to turn you over to collections. We went ahead and applied for financing and got approved. Okay, no big deal right? The rep who helped us, was fairly new, maybe a month. As he was doing the paperwork, my wife and I were happy no the decision, especially at a good cost. So, after the deal was closed and the paperwork was printed, I signed and was ready to leave. Everything sounds good so far, right? WRONG! The manager checked the paper work and shook his head. I'm thinking the pricing was going to change, or maybe a wrong code was put in. This fool has the nerve to say "The signatures don't match on his license." Are you freaking serious? It has my photo, who cares? I got that license 10 years ago, of course it's not going to be exactly the same. Do I need my SSN card, passport, and birth certificate to prove that I am me? So I had to wait 20 additional minutes just to resign the papers and try to match it just like my license. I was beyond frustrated and angry, but it was the only place where all the furniture we wanted was there. Once this contract is closed, I will no longer go there. I strongly urge you to avoid buying here! I had nothing but problems from day one with them. Had to make this short since it went on for 5 months: originally ordered fridge, range, and dishwasher. Supposed to have free installation on all items. When they brought up, the range was wrong one. The old was was removed and put in my dining room. The dishwasher was not installed..supposedly had to have some special part, so it sat in my dining room next to the old range. They charged me for a new water line to fridge but used existing one. After many calls and many lies and rudeness about having the dishwasher installed and getting the correct range ordered, I finally paid someone $100 to install the dishwasher and bought the range from Sears. (This was about 7 weeks into this!) Conn's NEVER even ordered the range even though I was told things like, "it's in the warehouse waiting to be delivered" and "I ordered it last week and it should be in next week", etc., They never returned phone calls, the manager hung up on me when I asked why the range hadn't been ordered and why the dishwasher hadn't been installed. The Corporate office in Beaumont, TX, was not much better. I finally gave up trying to fix this and decided I'd just wait for them to contact me. Well, at the end of MAY....5 months later...I got a payment book...with the fridge, dishwasher, and RANGE on it was well as an installation fee for all of this PLUS.....nearly $2000 in INSURANCE FEES!!!! I NEVER signed up for insurance and never would. I have Homeowner's Insurance. They kept sayng I signed up for it and that is it "REQUIRED" for any appliance sold in Oklahoma. BULL!!!! That is not true. No way I would have ever agreed to insurance. The only extra papers I signed were to decline extended warranties. We finally worked something out ONLY after I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the FTC. The balance went from $4979 to $1434!!!!! The original due date was May 22 but in the deal we'd worked out, I agreed to pay IN FULL by May 31. I smartly got this sent to me with the balance in a CERTIFIED LETTER. On May 23rd, I rec'd 4 phone callsf from Conn's. When I called back, no one knew why I was called. On the 26th, I rec'd 6 phone calls. When I called back, the girl told me that I was past due. I explained that I had worked out some problems and that I would be paying the balance in full in a couple of hours.. She said they did not have that on their information and she would add it. About an hour later, I got yet another call from Conn's. This stupid lady told me I was past due. I explained the deal and the extended time until the 31st. This idiot acutally sat there and told me I was lying!! And in those words!! "You're lying. You didn't get any certified letter". What???? I tried to let her know what happened, but she just kept on telling me I was stupid and that I was lying. Mind you, that if the payment hadn't been extended (which it was), I would have only been 3-4 days late! Then this idiot told me that if I didn't pay it in full right then that they would be there in the morning with the police to pick up the appliances!!! What??? I have NEVER been talked to the way this dipshitz talked to me and for NO Reason. I asked her name. She didn't say anything. I asked her name again and she started repeating MY names, MY SS#, MY phone number, MY address, MY date of birth!!!! I asked to speak to a manager and she refused to transfer me!!! I came real close to just saying Come on Out and get the damn appliances because I don't want to ever do business with Conn's again. This wasn't even everything but this is enough. They are rude, liars, and ridiculous. I will NEVER EVER but anything from Conn's again. I'd rather pay more or do without. I have never been treated this badly by a company before in my life and have actually owed way more than this and have been past due for real. Even though things were worked out, I NEVER should have been treated this way. Ever. It should not have taken a complaint with the BBB to work things out. No, I will NEVER give them another penny.
