My wife an I were on a pretty tight budget with the purchase of our new home. We went to Mathis Brothers Outlet and was very surprised by the quality, high fashion and wonderful prices we found. Needless to say, none of this wouldn't have happened without the amazing customer support and great service we received in the store from Jalen and his crew!! Honestly, it was a blessing that we came back to Mathis Brothers after shopping around for 3 days. Service was extremely helpful, modeled the furniture, I took time to explain the breakdown of each piece and the different fabrics and colors. Will not go anywhere in the future. I highly recommend this store and the young man "Jalen" to help you when you walk in the door. His partner and the manager worked as a team to made it all come together for us and we cou Abe happier. Delivery will happen within the next 10 days and I will keep you posted. 10/10 STARS SO FAR!! read more

Here's a polished, professional version of your review that keeps your frustration clear while strengthening the tone and impact: I've been purchasing furniture from Mathis Brothers/Ashley for over 10 years, but after my most recent experience, I'm not sure I'll return. I originally purchased two items, but when I went to schedule pickup, only one item appeared on my receipt. After resolving that issue, I discovered the painting I purchased wouldn't fit in my car. I attempted to rent a truck, but due to Memorial Day, none were available. I called the store four separate times for assistance and follow-up, and no one ever returned my calls. Frustrated by the lack of communication, I drove over 30 minutes to the store--only to find out they had sold my painting to someone else. While my salesperson did apologize, the overall experience reflects extremely poor customer service. To make matters worse, one of the sales associates claimed he had called me, which was simply not true--I never received a call. After more than a decade of being a customer, this was incredibly disappointing. Mistakes happen, but what matters is accountability and making it right. Unfortunately, that didn't happen here. Mathis, you need to do better. Customer service should be a core value, not an afterthought. If you want, I can also make a shorter, more punchy version for Google/Yelp or a more formal escalation version to send to corporate. read more

I knew what I wanted walking in a nice sturdy bookcase! As I entered I was greeted and left to browse. as I looked through out the clearance items, cause yes, I'm looking for a deal. I found a bookcase (right size and color) and knew it was it. I noticed a young man walking around with a pad, he appeared to be marking items down, I approached him and asked about the bookcase and he took $100 bucks off on the spot! It's my lucky day, I got what I wanted and made room in clearance for more great merchandise! read more

I purchased a mattress and base (frame) on 11/1/25. The base I wanted was not in stock. They said it would arrive 11/2/2025 but I was headed back home 2 hours away. I took the mattress home and set delivery from the Tulsa store 11/10/2025. I took a day off of work for this delivery. After receiving no calls to set up delivery time, I called the Tulsa location. They said I needed to call OKC store because they do not have my order. When I called the outlet store, they said it was "IN TRANSIT" to be delivered 12/14/2025 to the Tulsa store. I would NOT have taken home a mattress only to wait for over a month to get the frame. The salesperson and the manager both gave me false information to make the sale. I will NEVER shop at this store again. read more

Do not shop here. These people are as crooked as they come. Ordered a complete living room set, including a recliner. We signed the receipt for it to be delivered and brought in but because the recliner was special order I guess we had to pay an additional delivery fee. All of this should've been discussed and explained. Terri the sales lady told us everything would be delivered and assembled. I had two people tell me, the ordered was put in as assembled delivery and was changed when they put my final payment for the recliner in. Go anywhere in okc but this place. On a side note, my son bought a living room set and bedroom set from here. They delivered his bed without bringing the proper tools and pieces to the bed. They've been to his house 3 times and the bed is still not assembled correctly. read more

Never again! I went to Mathis Outlet 8 times within 2 weeks over 1 mattress. Kept telling me to come to the store, even though I work 2 jobs. First 2 mattresses show up with holes in them at the time of delivery and the manager refuses to give me anything. Before delivery, I looked at the mattress with the manager and neither one of us saw a hole in the mattress. The same manager refused to give me a discount on this defective mattress. Do not shop here. It is a waste of time. read more

Don't EVER buy anything with vinyl at Mathis Bros. They let everything sit out in their hot warehouse and the vinyl becomes brittle! And good luck trying to get anywhere with customer service!! The rudest people ever. They couldn't care less! We are a couple on disability (fixed income) we pulled out of our savings to purchase what we thought would last us till we're dead. Now, we're stuck with furniture that's literally falling apart! And good luck talking to Rit Mathis or anyone above the peons. read more

We had excellent customer service, and great prices. Thank you, Jack and Patrick!! We will come back soon and ask for Jack!

I ventured here looking for sectionals and while I didn't find a sectional I did find a fabulous lamp that was originally retail value of $498 (who in their right mind would pay that) for $77!! There was absolutely nothing wrong with it and it is a solid heavy lamp. I just couldn't resist! They had a very great selection of decorative accents, artwork, lamps, mirrors, etc. I was more impressed by their home accessories offered rather than their actual furniture. They had a random selection nothing very consistent. If you liked one chair inside you couldn't find a second but that one chair was greatly reduced in price to make up for it. I dealt with Wick who was very friendly and not salesman pushy like some of the others I noticed in there were being. The store was very big they even had mattresses inside! read more

After being a customer for 20 years I will never buy from this store again. My son bought his first house and got engaged very close together. As a gift I bought them a motion couch and table for their new place. The couch was delivered a month late and didn't work. They were unable to fix it even after 3 service calls. To compensate Mathis Brothers said they would take off 20%, but that never happened. Also, at the time of purchase they had a promotion of "interest free for 12 months". Before making the decision of opening a credit account I specifically asked the salesman about the terms of the promotion. He completely lied to my face!!! I called Mathis Brothers to ask about what the salesman told me and about the 20% off and got the run around. Customer service said that would be the sales manager, they couldn't authorize a discount. The sales manager told me customer service would have to do that. Also, the lying sales man didn't work there anymore so the manager said she couldn't verify what he said. Basically I overpaid for a couch that never worked plus incurred a balloon payment that I was lied to about. What a nightmare!! read more

These furniture importers have been ruining Oklahoma City in the surrounding areas with low quality furniture for a long time. Not a day goes by where we don't wish that we had bought real furniture from an honest seller. They sell it it falls apart. Not something I can recommend. They are waiting at the door to sell you something, but after you have signed on the dotted line that''s all you gonna get you wont get anywhere with their , customer service. In my situation I called twice, was left on hole 9 min 44 seconds, left message with my saleswoman never get a return call (after the sale) went into the store lastly, explained to the manager on call (RON) that I was very unhappy and expected some kind of response within a few days, got nothing. I am appalled at Mathis Bros a pillar in the state as long as I can remember. I purchased a bed and the base for the bed should have a ''retainer bar'' to keep the mattress from sliding off the base, well it didn't, YES this was a purchase as is and I bet that is what they will be standing on that it was a PURCHASE AS IS, but this is a safety mechanism, and the manager assisting the saleswoman knew that, I didn't, I have never purchased a base for a mattress before, should I have bought a mechanic and requested a test drive? they claimed to be concern that I get a better night sleep void of back pain, how disgusting they are to me, let it be known that I am a (seniors senior) living on social security, mourning the loss of two children, and expressed that to Maria the sales woman who offered her condolences, THEN, I hope the Mathis Boy's are happy with a few extra dollars so they can build another store to rip off another great grand mother. read more

I cant say enough to help people avoid this place. I got a recliner from them and less than two weeks later it had broken. That was over three months ago and still nothing has been done. If you can get something that you know wont break then it might be ok, but dont expect any kind of customer service from this place. read more

We had our furniture delivered and there were missing parts. The sales person never responded when contacted about the issue. We did contact customer service and supposedly they were ordered. Here we are 2 months later and STILL do not have the missing pieces. We have called the store multiple times to check on the order and cannot get a straight answer for when they will arrive. We would return the furniture and get a refund if we could. 0/10 do not recommend read more

We bought a bedroom set a week ago. The bed frame was available the day of (1/23) the bedside tables were not and won't be here for a couple more weeks. That's all fine. I wanted to take the frame home and put it together myself. Was convinced by the salesman that the better deal was to sign up for the rewards program and get shipping and assembly on the bed and the bedside tables. Essentially, it pays itself; signing up for the rewards, we got the furniture for a cheaper price. The salesman said our bed would come today (1/30). He said he would call the day before for a time, etc. He then set up the delivery, gave us confirmation on our receipt and everything. We were pretty pleased with the process and told the salesman we appreciated him. Before we left he asked if we'd give him a 5 star review on google. We got no call yesterday and thought it was a bit odd. We woke up today and called and our order had no delivery date set up on anything. Really displeased. Not sure we will shop here again. read more

Helpful sales people. I highly recommend shopping at Mathis Brothers Furniture. Tell others about your experience t there.

sales person slipped us protection plan after I did not want it. After we paid and noticed price was higher then should've been. they refused refund 149.99 said oh we will give that back in 2 years if you don't use it. I didn't.. I waited 2 years to call today and find out it's 5 years and to bad he sold you something you didn't want. seriously?!?! also had to do all the legwork too get a partial credit?!?! what a joke Mathis Bros! My family and I came in to purchase a mattress. While in the store for at least 20 minutes, no one helped us or offered to answer any of our questions. We saw a mattress that we really liked and even lay on it for 10 minutes while two staff members passed us and three other staff members sat around chit chatting. We decided to not give business to a store that didn't put any effort into its customer service. One star is for the friendly staff member who welcomed us. read more

We ordered a complete patio set in April 2021 (over $5000 worth which we paid in full) with some backordered items we were told would arrive in just a few weeks. The backordered items finally came in months later after we repeatedly called with a damaged sofa, three missing cushions and a missing ottoman. As of December 9, 2021, still nothing from them. Worst company ever. The owners should be very ashamed. Google their reviews online. I was horrified to see so many unhappy people. read more

The only reason this place even got a star was because of my salesperson Marilyn. She was really friendly but that iS all they is decent at this place. I bought a whole bedroom set two weeks before the delivery date and I was told the delivery time the day before. I had to call and try to ask for a different delivery time and then they notified me that my bed was isn't even there. And when I asked why I got no reason just excuses about their dumb trucks. WTF..... It should have been here before!!!! What did they do? A measly waive of delivery fee and a lousy 5% ... If I didn't need this bed at this moment I would have gotten a full refund They literally made the beginning of my newlywed phase suck. I will now have to sleep in a Matthew with no bed frame for the first week of my married life. Then to add icing on this rotten cake...the rest of my merchandise did not come at my scheduled delivery time but earlier so the drivers could what? Get off on their Saturday early?! so my entire day which was on a tight schedule was ruined. Don't go here. Customer service was bad... Should have gone to a different place and paid more. At least I would have gotten what I ordered ON TIME and I would've been sleeping on a real bed. Thanks for making my newlywed phase suck factory direct. I better get my bed at the CORRECT scheduled time like they promised but who knows... At their rate that'll prob not happen. Which in that case I will come back to this review and update. read more

We just bought a mattress set from the Mathis Outlet in OKC. When we walked in Lou helped us with mattresses and was so knowledgeable about the ones we asked him about. He helped us decide on which one was best for our needs and helped us find the one that fit in our budget. He was very personable and we felt like we had known him for years and we trusted him. Thank you Lou for your great customer service! While my husband was paying, I talked Lynn Farris in the recliner section. She was so sweet to our 4 year old little girl. She is the sweetest and I am so glad I met her! We were so impressed with the sincere care that Maurice, Chris, and Mike took while wrapping our mattress set. It was a rainy day and they worked really hard getting it wrapped up so it didn't get wet. While they were busy doing this, they also carried on fun conversations with us. This was a great experience from beginning to end! You all have a wonderful team! We are returning customers and will continue to be! Thank you! read more

They have some really nice people who work there however that doesn't do me any good. Why wasn't the order inspected before it was delivered?? One small piece! Two screws!! We went to Mathis Brothers Outlet yesterday looking for a new bed for my grandson. The first salesman took us to find a bed and showed us several examples and was very knowledgeable and friendly. After seeing several examples my grandson found the one he liked which had lights and was very nice. After he had found a bed he liked it was time to pick out a mattress. He tried several and found one he liked. Are sales people Taylor Preston, and Joseph Cox we're both very knowledgeable and professional. We are having the bed delivered and cannot comment on the delivery yet but when that happens I will post a review on Yelp. I would recommend anyone to Mathis Brothers outlet. read more

I had a terrible experience here with an older woman. I do not recall her name, but we went in to look for a sectional on Friday around 5-6 PM. We had already been searching for a few weeks now and were intent on purchasing. However, with her rude response, we left. Just purchased the exact sectional from the store for cheaper online! :) Shipping/assembly is all free and still cheaper than this store. I would suggest looking elsewhere. They mark up their prices quite a lot. read more

Incredibly disappointed. Ordered a sleeper sectional the second week of October and was told it would arrive in December. December rolls around and was told January, was told late February in January, and then March in February. We finally get it delivered last Friday (March 19th) with damage to the fabric on the chaise. Upon assembly, we discover that there was no mattress for the sleeper. We go to customer service the next day and was told it would be several weeks before a mattress would be available for us, so now we have a corner sectional in our living room, and we can't even sit on half of it because the mattress is missing. Ridiculous. read more

Yesterday we found a problem with the bed frame we bought when we bought the mattress. It is in our spare room and my husband noticed the problem when he dropped something that went under the bed. Our invoice says six legs and there are only 3. Our regular bed, that we bought somewhere else has 13 slats! Which means there is only 3 slats supporting the mattress and box spring. But wait, it gets worse! The three legs (they run down the center of the bed for support) don't even touch the ground! The 3 slats are sagging (hard to see in the pictures) The slats are also not bolted to the frame! You can see (in the picture) that the slat has a hole for that. If you look at the legs behind the front one, you can see that they are not touching the ground! My husband called and whomever he talked to said they would see what could be done. Never called back! My husband had to call again but they did not understand the problem. All we wanted was for someone to come out, install 3 more slats and put in 6 legs that touch the floor and are NOT screwed all the way out! (the more they are screwed out the more unstable they get). read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would. The absolute worst customer service I have ever received. I bought a couch and loveseat 6 weeks ago and was told it would be delivered within 30 days. Obviously not the case, now that they're saying it won't be in until December. Completely ridiculous to sit on someone's money for several months and keep promising dates they can not come through with.
