"Unfortunately, they have inventory issues sometimes" Seems to me like they were slow pulling my order and probably just sold it before pulling the order. Avoid this place.

I had just been "restructured" by my employer and in lieu of some cash owed me, they gave me a gift card to either Guitar Center or Olive Garden. Duh, a no brainer. Viewing the website, in North Carolina there happened to be an Inspired By Gibson Epiphone J-200 12 string used, excellent condition. From the photo, it looked like it could be first cousin to my own Gibson J-200 I bought back in 1968. I had to have it. I immediately signed up to Guitar Center, had them order and ship the guitar to the Roseville store. It was there in a matter of days. With the gift card and some extra cash it was mine. I am not looking at any guarantee for Guitar Center. Their obligation was only to get the instrument delivered to me as shown in the photos. They performed that obligation without incident. I did ask on the way out how much for a 12 string set up. I was told right off the bat $200. Really GC, now I know where you really make your money, lol. I do buy my miscellaneous picks, strings, etc. from the local mom and pop stores but every once in a while Guitar Center will come up with a winner. 20240130 Had an…read moreissue with billing for lessons; I'll preface this with this ultimately being due to a lack of understanding on my behalf. After calling the lessons department, I was transferred to Ariel (the store manager). I almost feel embarrassed for how complicated the 'fixing' of the issue became, but Ariel helped me out when I needed it, and long story short I get to keep attending lessons. One of those situations where 'Someone didn't have to, but did' in a positive way and I'm appreciative. Also, I have purchased gear from here before and found excellent price points for cymbals, shells, etc. Look for sales on the export kits if you're a drummer!

I drove across town with the guitar and went inside. I stood by the counter and two or three employees walked by me without saying a word. Nate was there but he was talking to a different customer; he never even acknowledged my presence. Another longtime employee was at the counter and ignored me. I stood there about five minutes when a really nice employee helped me. He interrupted Nate to ask about my guitar and Nate said without even looking at me, even though I was 6 feet away, "I'm with a buyer, so not today." It was super demeaning. It made me feel small. The nice employee was apologetic and said, Nate makes those decisions, and that he was sorry. I told him that I did call first and was told to come down.I think he was embarrassed too. I have bought and sold several guitars and pieces of equipment at Willie's. Never again.

There are layers and layers of used music equipment laying around.....really difficult (or impossible) to absorb everything they have. There were tons of gems from the late-80s & 90's era when I was in here. This is a great place for gear enthusiast that know what they might be looking at.....otherwise, one might overlook some great things. This place is seriously wall/wall gear. Stacked everywhere.....and I mean everywhere. Difficult navigating through the store it is so packed....it's not for the casual enthusiast. That being said, really cool to be able to browse this shop. When I walked in, I was greeted by the owner asking what I might be in the market for. I got the impression that is his general approach.....but, I wanted to rummage myself to see what awesomeness I would find. In the end I walked out without purchasing anything....but, I'll likely come visit again if I'm back in town.

I'm a teacher and they had the books I needed for my students and (for a tiny shop) had the right selection of instruments for me. They had a good guitar I could recommend a student as well as a bunch of super interesting hand made funkiness that was compelling for me. Nice dude working there, very helpful. They didn't have the strings I was hoping for in stock but seemed totally willing to get some in for me.

Really wanted to be happy with them and that is actually how it started. Brought first guitar in…read more(Taylor) and had a new nut installed. They also did a set up. Plays much nicer no issue! Second guitar (Martin) split in top due to Minnesota winters even though I had two humidifiers in closed case. Repair took well over a month but looked great. I added another humidifier they recommended and sold me. Then two months into winter of 2018 same thing again- just a few months after repair. I called to see if they would fix, the answer yes but no guarantee on work so full price again! No plan to return! Martin actually has a life time warranty on their guitars which was notified by the clients they installed. Should have sent it to them but did not want to wait. Ended up waiting anyway and getting a poor repair.
