I inquired whether there will be air conditioning since my wedding was taking place on a hot summer day, and I was assured by the wedding planner , Frau Wimmer, that there would be sufficient air conditioning. My wedding took place in July and we were absolutely miserable because of the heat. All that was provided was a tiny air cooler from the 70's. It was completely a joke. My guests were drenched in sweat and as a bride, I was very uncomfortable with the temperature situation. If you can imagine, this was the MOST important day of my life and it was a pleasant feeling to be in such hot temperatures. Nothing was done to resolve the issue. I would stay far away from organizing any events during the entire summer here. You have been warned.

On a Christmas Day concert, it started 8 minutes late - unacceptable in the orchestral world. Ticket also says the office closes 30 minutes before concert start - this was a lie. Why did we bother to waste time grabbing our tickets early? Secondly, these seats are just terrible. Should create a real audience arrangement. Every seat is level to the row in front so unless you're in the first 5 rows, you can't see without straining your neck. In other words don't bother buying A tickets or even some of the B seats for that matter. You'll see the same as C.

After it lay abandoned for years and then sadly decimated by a disastrous fire in 2001, not much hope existed for its continued existence. Well reports of its death were premature. The Sofiensaal has been restored in all its grandeur to its previous glory. She betrayed my TRUST quickly by outright LIEING to me that I could re-enter the Gym/Sauna as I requested to take a quick photo for ideas for my home. I was SHOCKED & SURPRISED! Her Demeanor and Attitude instantly "FLIPPED" once I checked-out. I requested to store my luggage until 9 or 10PM, Isabella agreed. I didn't return until the next morning to retrieve my luggage and thanked her for the storage. I moved my luggage into the lobby while I was ordering a UBER Ride. However, for some unbeknownst reason[s] she became irrate when I requested to know if a room was available for another night. She stated I was NOT welcome back because the room had a "BAD SMELL." I informed her that I had requested to NOT have ANY ROOM SERVICES for the Five [5] days and should be commended for being a GREEN FRIENDLY CONSUMER, NOT BANNED! I was following their Corporate Policies to be a GREEN FRIENDLY PROPERTY yet I was now being treated like a CRIMINAL. As I awaiting for the UBER Vehicle, 3 men 'SNATCHED" ALL of my Luggages WITHOUT my Permission NOR Consent and physically moved them outside onto the sidewalk UNNATTENDED. ¡ UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNCONSCIONABLE BUSINESS PRACTICES BY ISABELLA!!! I advised Isabella I will be REMOVING the Hlowing 5 Star Review and Repkacing it with this 1 Star Review, SHE SIGHED AND LAUGHED! There is a mini-market next door to the hotel where you can get fruit, snacks, beverages, sandwiches, and hot food. Everything you might need for a meal (or other things) for a reasonable price. The hotel room was clean. I thought the carpet needed cleaning but perhaps there is a schedule for that. The single room was adequate for my stay. I like the temperature cold in summer months. It felt cold when I was up and about. Once I got into bed, it seems to go up automatically. Otherwise, breakfast was inviting and the stairs are open and very accessible allowing me to use them frequently. All in all, I enjoyed my quiet stay at this hotel and would stay here again.

Decent dance floor (small but there's not a huge crowd there either)/ Little stars because 1. Service (a little snobby at the door), 2. All the water flooding the upstairs women's bathoom (really, a pool inside there, must have been a leaking toilet that took over the whole thing), no soap, and .... number one reason fewer stars, is because it was so smokey, that the next day I woke up with my throat and sinus lined with smoke bits. That was even after immediate shower upon returning home. Not cool. So really, only reason for 2 stars was the music. Shame.
