He rang the doorbell to notify me of his arrival. To my surprise Jeff kindly offered to move the heavy planter closer to its final destination. In addition to all this unexpected act of kindness, Jeff positioned it so effectively that moving this heavy planter into its final spot was effortless. Thanks to his extra effort, the planter is now exactly where I need it. When I offered Jeff a tip to show my gratitude for his care and helpfulness, he graciously declined, saying he was just happy to help. It is rare to encounter such genuine professionalism. LOL My Wife and I are now going to get our vegetables and flowers from Hacker's for as long as we can. I bet Hacker's has more varieties than anywhere in the midwest. 72 Different varieties of Just Tomatoes alone !! Absolutely Incredible variety of flowers, vegetables, and practically everything you can think of plus specials! We also buy plants for our neighbors gardens. Way better prices than the big stores. And way more selection for sure. The staff is so courteous, friendly, helpful, and greatly knowledgeable. I have been there 6 times so far in 2026 :-) A real pleasurable place to visit Indeed! She was rude, argumentative, and seems to get off by trying to prove a point. I was excited to bring my out-of-town parents here to look for a few specific items. When we got here we parked in the back and walked up to the entrance. The double doors would not open and seemed locked. We saw the sign that said to use the other door, so we tried pulling the other door and it wouldn't open. Another sign claimed the wind makes the door hard to open...but there wasn't a breeze to be felt. After verifying we were there on the right day and the store was in fact to be open, we walked all around the outside looking for the "other door". We found another door towards the front and walked in...only to be told by the woman that we came in the wrong door. We said the main door was locked and she was adamant it wasn't and asked to show me how it wasn't locked. I followed her to the front door and she told me to push. I did and it didn't open. She said no you have to push harder. I did and the heavy door finally opened a smidge. Apparently you're supposed to be as rough with the doors as she is with customers. After I went out to wait for my parents in the car, she then tried to show my mom that the door wasn't locked. FINE! We get it! Your heavy doors are hard for customers to open. I won't be back.

We were able to quickly set-up appointments that worked around our schedules and were at convenient locations. Our designer, Jamie, was a joy to work with! Her approach to our floral arrangements was inspired and excellently reflected the vision we had for our wedding. During our meetings, she always was on top of details and attentive to our needs. I am not sure if other comments have mentioned this, but Town and Country has a few locations throughout the Chicagoland area. We met at both the Schaumburg and Elgin locations throughout our wedding preparations. From the flower petals for our in memorial table to center pieces and bouquets, Jamie and Town and Country performed beyond our expectations. No detail was overlooked! Jamie was also fabulous about working with adjustments to our wedding day. We ended up needing fewer center pieces for the reception and Jamie gladly worked with us to make the adjustments. Another aspect of working with Jamie I valued was her talent for understanding the feel of our wedding and making suggestions. She helped us better capture our theme and save us money (always a plus!). Her knowledge of flowers that were in season for our wedding was a wonderful help! For example, she suggested snap dragons to help mirror our cherry blossom theme. They became one of my favorite parts of our center pieces! Town and Country has an amazing selection of rentals to meet any needs. We had rentals for the church arrangements and center pieces that were diverse! They moved arrangements from the church to be reused at the reception. They also willingly helped us to donate our arrangements to a hospice center following our wedding! I had picked up 3 heavy duty mechanical timers from them, as the ones I purchased online kept getting blown out. I got home and immediately realized I had purchased the wrong kind (240v, instead of 120v). I took them back to the store and they replaced them with the 120v and refunded me the difference, no problem. 2 of the new timers worked perfectly, but the 3rd would not shut off properly. I again returned the store and explained my problem. Even though I had lost the receipt they replaced the faulty unit for me. Thanks again guys, I appreciate it! PS: I'm not much of a drinker, but they offer brewing classes. This probably isn't a surprise based on the other reviews here. However, I thought it was extremely cool that they have the brews made in those classes available for tasting!

I do not know much about gardening, they provided flower types that are hardy enough to withstand the cool spring nights. Yesterday I did the pumpkin decorating class. We got two large pumpkins and got to pick either a white or blue pumpkin. The supplies to decorate were plentiful. They provide all kinds of ideas and examples. The instructors are very friendly and helpful. I do not consider myself a creative person but after these classes I do! Many people brought snacks and drinks. Definitely a fun night out.
