Slid off road on Monday night in the median. Wednesday morning comes around and my trucks gone, no big deal. Maybe 300 dollar tow bill im thinking... DO NOT recommend! Very rude and dismissive when trying to pick up a car that had gotten towed due to getting stuck in snow. Police said it was there, went in and got told that they didnt even know if they had the car. And that it would be an hour before the secretary came in and could find out. Then when questioned as to why they couldn't find out themselves at 9:30 a.m. when their office was opened, got cut off with a loud snarky response and he changed the time we could pick it up to another possible hour longer because of being questioned. I had my car towed at 7am and it was fixed and ready to go by 4. The car is an import and they had to locate parts from a couple of other cities. I'm was surprised by the quick turn around time and quality repairs. Communication about the parts and repairs was great and at a good price. read more

SCAM, RIP OFF, ROADSIDE ROBBER...BEWARE! Over the phone quoted $425. Arrived and tried to bill $1100 for the EXACT service agreed to over the phone despite having sent a guy out to fix a flat without a jack nor a pneumatic to change the rim. Owner sent another guy out, who failed to bring the correct tools and then tried to bill $127 for that guy showing up. RUN AWAY DON"T BE FOOLED! read more

This was the worst experience of my life. The driver was rude and would not answer any questions. They overcharge and have hidden fees. They towed my sons car would not let me get it the same day, and then charged 2 days storage when it was there less than 24 hours. The driver told me I'd be charged for one day and the office didn't care what he said. Towed my son's car 1 mile and charged $225.57 dollars. 70 of which was storage because they held the car hostage!! BEWARE OF THIS BUSINESS read more

I also had my honda fit towed in to the shop in the morning. I had a problem with my transmission and they called me before 3pm on the same day. Since I had had problems with other mechanics back at school in Macomb, I decided to give this place a shot, even though it's about 45 minutes away from where I live. I went back for a few check ups (just to be on the safe side) after the transmission was replaced, and each time they were happy to help each time, for free. They always gave me honest feedback about my car. These mechanics knew what they were doing. There's a train stop within two blocks of the shop so I was able to take the travel back and forth from Macomb to Kewanee with ease. I'll definitely bring my car back to this place if I have problems again. read more

For everyone out there, Hodges Towing in Geneseo IL is a crock of crap! Adam's car got towed on Tuesday from being stuck. We had another tow lined up and Hodges apparently caught wind of it before our person could get there. It too til today to figure out where the car was and then the owner Don, says it's going to cost $288.75! To haul my car 6 miles down the road when I didn't even ask him to in the first place! I asked what he was charging me for and he said well the tow and jacking it to the tow. He tried to tell me that was a deal because he didn't charge me for the fact that I have lien on my car!!! This guy seriously pulls prices out of his ass to charge people. His son even told husband that! I feel extremely taken advantage of and pissed that our car was in a sense stolen when we had taken care of things ourselves. I pray that all my friends and family do not EVER use Hodges for any services what so ever! read more

I had my car towed by a Henry County deputy because I had a flat tire and had to leave it sit (all the way in the ditch). They towed it because of the bad rain. They used Hodge's. I've never had a worse experience with a company. The gears in my car got mess up when the car was drug onto the flatbed. The next morning I had to call the geneseo hodges manager Don. Very rude and short with me. I came at 3:30 on june 11th and they said I had to have cash to get my car at a ridiculous amount of $358.62. I only had a check or card. He said too bad and just because im a single mom doesn't mean I deserve any favors. Went back on the 12th with cash and my son to help change the flat. Don, saying "people like you that don't get anything". I called the owner today the 18th and was basically told too bad and he will have a "talk" with Don. No apology at all until I mentioned it. they are terrible. Also, I have lung disease and Don stood in front of me smoking right in my face the whole time. read more
