The hot tub exterior walls were removed so it's all open to the pool area now (for safety). Inner walls were constructed so the hot tub isn't part of the locker room/ shower area anymore. Bathing suit is required for the hot tubs. No more towels, you have to bring your own. The gym is more stripped down and basic feeling since the Y took over. No more broken water fountains, clogged sinks, gross showers. A lot less tvs on the cardio floor. The best thing about this Y is the open space. It never feels crowded anymore. I recently went to Paoli and their cardio floor is so packed and tight. Indoor track is still amazing as the 90s. 5 laps is a mile, it's the biggest indoor track I've ever seen. No one looks where they are going. That is my biggest annoyance. Teens walking with their faces buried in their phones.

When I showed up at this location, the person working the check in counter told me they do not accept this, and he does not know what this is. He said they do not have any sales people in the premises, so he does not know to verify this. He was a little standoffish, and acted like he couldn't be bothered. It was a good thing, my friend who has a membership, and at least was able to get me in as a plus one. Please, train your staff how to do this. First impression counts, and I was not happy with the treatment I received.

This is a plus for those of us who don't just splash around, but go for the workout. Every weekday morning from 6:50-10:30, the lap pool is open for the perfect summer workout. Pull buoys and kickboards aplenty at no extra charge! Also, a permanent timing clock. There's a 1000 lap club, so you get public recognition once you've completed the feat. After 10:30, all the pools are open - the lap pool, the kiddie pool, and the main pool, which has plenty of space, including a water basketball hoop and 2 3M springboards. There's lot of grassy space and trees nearby, providing a respite from the hot concrete and blocking some of the sun. There are also tons of sun shades. Also, there's a nearby playground, and lots of picnic table space. Best of all, there is an annual water ballet. Talk about community building! Luckily, my BF's family is very generous with their passes, so I haven't had to pay for a guest pass, which I think is around $7.50. If you're in the area, find someone who's a member so you can join them for some R&R in the cool water. It's easier than finding a house with AC!

This is a review of summer camp. I sent my child to one of their specialty camps last summer and…read moreshe and the other campers were treated poorly. They were denied snack time and had their slime that they made taken away and given to other kids. The reason for this was a pocket-sized light was found in the pool after their group got out. The camp instructor tried to get the kids to "confess" as to who took the thing and basically punished them when no one spoke up. As if the kids would know who did it. When the camp director finally got back to me when I emailed her, she admitted that one of the kids could have accidentally put in their pocket and that the "punishment" wasn't appropriate. I wouldn't send my child to this camp again.
