Finally got a chance to eat at Hocco recently after watching so many reels and it was good!! We tried all of items, including the malai paneer tikka, Desi style chicken,, chicken 65, lamb Galotti kebab, Hocco special pov bhaji & their biryani and ended with Mung dal Halwa. This is another reason why I really don't want to try the Instagramable places. I've heard so much about this place from my friends back home, but if the taste is this, then I'm glad I've never went to HOOCCO in India. It was sold out for Saturday night, so that was good however, they were overwhelmed with catering so many people. I like the fact that they upfront told me that it will take 35 to 45 minutes just to get my food which helped me to pace out. I was upset that they were special dishes weren't spot on. For example, their pav bhaji. Lamb galloti kebab just came 3 in a $20 appetizer. The flavor was good, so really craved for more. The sound of the show was their Naan. They definitely have cracked that. Chicken 65 was spot on as well. My rating for this place is average, expectations were high, but they didn't really make it to top of my list to drive down 40 mins

This place is close to work, so I thought I'd give it a shot. I'm always looking for more Indian food in the area to try. I'm a sucker for branding, and the aesthetics were right up my alley. I did a takeout order online, and picked it up. The staff at the counter were nice, and picking up was fairly easy as long as you have a receipt. The food was great, I could eat garlic naan all day long if I could. The samosa were also a favorite, I liked how crunchy the outer shell was compared to the soft, flavorful filling inside. Butter chicken was pretty standard, I'm excited to try more things here!

The food is always piping hot. You're not gonna get any ice cold samosas here that's for sure. The service is always very friendly and the ambience is very casual. This restaurant is mainly for carry out but I like that they have some tables because Robert and I always prefer eating our food hot and fresh right at the restaurant. You can get your food anywhere from mild to very spicy you let them know the level of spice that you want. That is one big reason why I prefer coming here over an Indian restaurant with a buffet. Another big reason I like coming here is because they make it fresh and I can have them remove tomatoes from a recipe that has tomatoes in it. I highly recommend coming here. Don't think twice just come in and try something. It will be your favorite Indian restaurant especially for late night comfort dining.

If you're considering dining at Kritunga Indian Restaurant in the northwest suburbs of Chicago,…read morethink again. My recent experience there was nothing short of a disaster, and I would strongly advise against visiting this establishment. Here's why: Firstly, the management of the restaurant is incredibly unprofessional. The place is run by a group of young individuals who seem to have no understanding of customer service or respect for their patrons. Upon arrival, it was clear that they prioritized larger parties over smaller groups like ours. Despite the restaurant being relatively new, it was evident that they had not taken the time to properly train their staff or understand the basics of running a successful business. Our dining experience started off poorly and only got worse. The staff barely acknowledged us and seemed disinterested in providing any sort of quality service. The lack of attention to smaller parties like ours was not just noticeable but blatant. We felt ignored and undervalued, which set a negative tone for the entire meal. The food, which is supposed to be the highlight of any dining experience, was utterly disappointing. We ordered several dishes, hoping to enjoy the rich flavors and spices that Indian cuisine is known for. However, each dish was tasteless and bland. It was as if no thought or care had been put into the preparation. The flavors were flat, and the textures were off. It was a complete waste of money, especially considering there are numerous other Indian restaurants in the area that offer far superior food. Adding to the misery was the state of the restaurant itself. The floor was slippery, making it hazardous to walk around. It was clear that cleanliness and safety were not priorities here. Both bathrooms were lacking basic amenities, such as tissues, which is unacceptable. Additionally, there was no salt and pepper in the shakers at our table, a small but significant detail that further highlighted the restaurant's lack of attention to basic customer needs. The overall ambiance of the restaurant was also lacking. Instead of feeling welcomed and comfortable, we felt neglected and uncomfortable. The staff's attitude was one of arrogance and indifference, which was reflected in the poor service and subpar food. It's truly a shame because the northwest suburbs of Chicago have a vibrant dining scene with many excellent Indian restaurants. Unfortunately, this place does not come close to meeting the standards set by its competitors. The combination of poor service, tasteless food, and an unclean environment makes this place a regrettable choice for anyone looking to enjoy a meal out. In conclusion, I cannot recommend this place to anyone. It was a thoroughly disappointing experience from start to finish. The management needs to seriously rethink their approach to running a restaurant and prioritize their customers' needs and satisfaction. Until significant improvements are made, I would suggest avoiding this place and opting for one of the many other decent Indian restaurants in the area. Save your money and your taste buds--do not dine here.

Jay Bhavani is a fun spot if you want a huge variety of Indian vegetarian food all in one place…read more We started with the unlimited pani puri, which comes with multiple flavors and fillings, and also tried the butter vada pav and misal pav. From the North Indian side of the menu, we had palak paneer, stuffed paneer gravy, veg jalfrezi, dal tadka, jeera rice, and garlic naan, along with mango lassi and chikoo shake. The stuffed paneer gravy was the surprise favorite of the meal for me and paired especially well with the garlic naan. I also really liked being able to go from proper Indian street food to a full North Indian meal without having to choose one style or the other. The atmosphere is casual and centered around the food, making it a good place for families or groups who want to order a lot and share. There's a massive vegetarian menu, so it's also one of those places where everyone can find something they like. Overall, a great option when you're craving Indian street food and a full sit-down meal in the same visit.

We were hungry so we went in and tried one of the burritos and the Bombay sandwich, both of which were absolutely amazing. After having those, we decided, "You know what? Let's just grab something from here for dinner," so we ordered a vegetable Manchurian. Manchurian is something I don't typically order. It's not my favorite, but my wife loves it so I went along with it and some sauce. The Manchurian was actually so good that I would have it right here again. The samosas were pretty darn good. They were fresh, and the exterior was perfect and crisp. The masala inside was mild and light. It was still not the kind I really like, but the flavor was still better than some of the recent ones I've had at other places. A day or two later, we went again and this time got one of their cheese toasts with bell peppers, cheese, etc. That was pretty good too. Turns out their wrap is not Mumbai- or Bombay-based, but something from Ahmedabad in India, which explains the buttery goodness on the pav. Definitely going to be coming here at least another 2 or 3 times before we leave the area

What stood out immediately…read morewas the sheer variety--the menu includes Gujarati comfort food, Indo-Chinese dishes, chaat, sandwiches, naan, fusion creations, drinks, and their original Bhakri Pizza concept. Our favorite dish was easily the honey chilli water chestnuts. They were crispy, sweet, spicy, and one of the most unique vegetarian starters we've tried around Chicagoland. The paneer angara had a delicious smoky flavor, while the Indo-Mexican chaat was a playful and enjoyable combination of flavors. The Peri Peri Paneer Crunch Sandwich lived up to its name with plenty of spice, texture, and crunch. We also tried the Pav Bhaji Fondue, Bhakri Pizza, Beetroot Kabab Kofta, Chur Chur Naan, and Haryali Naan. The Triple Schezwan Rice didn't quite hit the mark for us, but that was the only real miss in an otherwise enjoyable meal. The Mango Mastani was the perfect finish. It was rich, delicious, and immediately transported me back to the neighborhood juice centers I grew up visiting in Delhi. Choice is especially worth visiting when you're dining with a group because there is genuinely something for everyone to try. We're looking forward to returning and discovering more of the menu.

Choice Indian Restaurant is one of the many places to get this cuisine around here. It has more for specific dietary needs, more than every other one though. Good concept to cater to certain folks. The quality and quantity needs lots of work. All the food is okay for vegetarians so it's a good thing if one is looking for this stuff to eat. It's got a few specific ones marked on the menu including Jain. There's only a few that are dairy free entirely though. Also expensive. These aren't even including naan or rice. It's about $5 to get a side of it. That sucks. It's about $17 for the cheapest entrees. We found a few that were good except for the high prices. Good flavors. I got the Lasooni Palak. This is spinach gravy with garlic and spices. Could go here again if the prices weren't so crazy. It's closed Mondays. The menu is all okay for vegetarians.
