Grateful to have seen this! Great story behind the beautiful artwork. I've added the link to the business for all that care to donate or purchase an elephant. Super Cool!

This installation is not to be missed and runs through October 20th. It has the backing of celebrity supporters such as Cher, Kristin Davis and Susan Sarandon and was a visual delight. A head turning installation that captures audiences of all ages. The elephants are dispersed throughout the MP area and are made of an "invasive weed known as lantana camara, which is threatening native species and their habitats across India by overtaking forests and driving animals out of their homes. The plant has spread across an estimated 115,000 square miles of India's protected forests and preserves". This installation doesn't just depict the beauty of elephants but is made to raise awareness as a fundraiser effort sharing a message about human-wildlife coexistence and conservation. I absolutely love elephants and enjoyed it very much. Catch it before it moves on to the next city.

Yep Hoboken. Accessible to and from Manhattan in under 30 minutes pretty easily really makes this a hot spot along with all the towns and cities that line the Hudson in NJ. Besides the very notable waterfront which is a popular walk for residents and visitors, there is much history in Hoboken. Frank Sinatra was born here and even has park here named after him, As well as John Stevens the inventor whom has a School after his namesake making it one of, if not the oldest tech school in the country. Like NY, Hoboken has a history of being home to many immigrants ranging from German, Irish and Italian descent to Cuban, Puerto Rican and more. The great draw to Hoboken is of course Washington st. which is packed with restaurants, boutiques, book stores, mixed in with the more usual stops on a modern day strip like cell phone stores, coffee shops and stuff for your pets. It's a popular destination and walk for residents, all surrounded by the brown stones and old style apartments. The Hoboken Ferry Terminal as well as station both also have a historical look about them but kept to maintain their Beaux-Arts architecture I think Hoboken is alright. It's popular and trendy and has Manhattan's influence all over it which means high prices on everything and cramped like a box catering toward those who prefer a car-less lifestyle. There is history and things to do in Hoboken, but that's just perk for most as folks do nearly everything else across the water. It isn't my cup of tea, but definitely see the appeal with all the action going on, particularly when it's warm out or there is an event of sorts going on such as a concert or parade.

My husband wanted to see the city that never sleeps across from the water and another state to avoid the traffic of bridges going to and from NY. It's a bit of a sketchy ride to get to Hoboken. I would not want to take this route at night. Nice view of NYC. Looks like a well developed skyline. Some good photos across the way.

I'm usually with my daughter and she's not interested in spending time taking in the outdoor sites. We usually head for the Mall and Cheesecake Factory. I really like this area because it reminds me of our Hudson River Greenway in Manhattan. I enjoy being near the water. I definitely plan to return to spend a full day walking and taking in the views. I'm going to pack a lunch and really enjoy the fresh air! It's a historic area with lots of photo opportunities. I've got to find someone that would like to go with me. I don't know my way around as well as I do on my side of the river!! I usually stay near the train station. I'm recommending a trip in the Spring!

Authentic Italian... As long as you order their homemade pasta. Please note that on the menu they have a specific section for the pasta they make by hand and the pasta they do not. I heard a table next to us saying something again to the positive taste homemade but they ordered from a section where it didn't say it was lol. What makes this place great is you can pretty much make whatever kind of dish you want when it comes to the pasta. They offer a variety of sauces as well. Surprisingly on this night, I wasn't very hungry and I ended up only getting their soup, which was also delicious. The chicken franchise was delicious, as well as the eggplant Parmesan. However, looking around at the restaurant, I can see the winner is the chicken Parmesan and the muscles. They seem to be very popular dishes. Not only is the food here great, but it is affordable. The only mention I will make as a knock against it is it gets extremely loud in there. This is not somewhere you want go for a date... Or if you intend on talking to anyone you're eating with and hearing what they have to say haha. That's only for the indoor section though. I'm sure outdoor is less intense with the sound. We will definitely be back!
