They were fast, courteous and worked directly with their preferred Electrician and Plumber to complete a very nice set of upgrades to my home (2 Heat Pumps, 1 Heat Pump water heater, and 200amp service upgrade). They came out and reviewed their services with installation and provide it a quote promptly. This was not the same case as we tried to get other quotes from other vendors but they were not very responsive. The pricing was very fair, and they were able to do the job in one day replacing 3 older units. If you like people that respond back and put customer care at the top of their list, then they will be great for your project. If you do go with them.I hope you have the same experience we did.

Absolutely terrible company to deal with. We purchased a new Wood burning fireplace, one of their…read moremost expensive, for our home and when they did the site visit, they did not measure correctly which we did not know until months later and construction had proceeded to the point of no return. When the unit arrived, they could not run the chimney under a beam that was always existing and known. It was also, apparently, on the drawing and despite them being a dealer for Regency they had zero understanding of how to install or the requirements for the fireplace. Long story short, I had to figure out the solution and did get it to fit, but Dave threw a grown man tantrum and decided to breach the install contract. In the end, he screwed up, refused to take 2 hours to come to our site and work out some details with the other contractors who were helping to fix their mistake, refused to accept responsibility for his mistake and then refused to refund money for equipment (chimney) that he did not supply. We are currently taking legal action because he will not provide the refund for the chimney despite the emails we have where, he offered to. It is ok because we have actually spent over $50,000 on additional HVAC, fireplaces and other contracts with their competitor Northern Energy Systems, who are real professionals, because they did not want to try to help get the job done. The new company we hired (to complete the installation of the fireplace they couldnt figure out how to install) thru Home Hardware in North Bay, were excellent and were able to solve the Chimney issue with very little extra effort. Dave's Heating just simply took zero time and effort to try and resolve the issue other than offering a refund...which they eventually did not follow thru with and ended up ripping us off $3k. I was also happy to spend extra money on construction changes to make the fireplace work. It boiled down to this entire conflict occurring because Dave would not come to the site, AT MY COST, to meet with the general contractor, to come up with a solution. Dave is a sad excuse for a business owner and an arrogant and selfish human being. I am sure the good reviews are for regular smooth contracts, but be warned, if things do not go his way or there is some situation where they make a mistake, they will rip you off and look out for themselves. I try to give out contracts to local companies being from the North, but this company belongs in the big city. We highly recommend Northern Energy Systems in Mattawa and North Bay Home Hardware instead of this company.

He called a little after noon said he would grab lunch and be right over. He quickly diagnosed the main problem and pointed put a couple things I had not noticed. He said he could right then or we could schedule for another time. I let him jump into it and left him alone to work. He finished it all up and gave me the bill. Based on the age of the furnace, we knew it needed replacing. Alex replaced our furnace, oil tank and added heat pumps to keep us cool in the summer. We had a couple hiccups along the way. The true quality of a provider is how they respond to those hiccups (mfg defect and intern error.) This is an update to my recent review. Besides all the things wrong that I mentioned in my original…read morereview, it turns out that Kevin put on the wrong nozzle, despite the tag on the front of the burner saying which nozzle to use. This explains why it was running so inefficiently after he was done with the "cleaning". Also, when he closed up the front of the furnace, he allowed insulation to get caught up on the threads of one of the closing bolts which means that the nut will have to be cut off and replaced. To force it would break the bolt holding the door closed. Besides the $185 he charged for the cleaning (he was quick to cash the check), it will cost me over $400. to have my furnace repaired to the condition it should be in. He also told me that he would check out the price of a new combustion chamber and get right back to me. He never did. This guys work was a disaster!
