I don't think he was aware of the existence of Hobby Lobby at the time, so he made the much farther 45 minute trek to Goshen to MCH. Hubby said the store was slightly dirty but the person working polite. He said they had a decent selection, so he purchased 2 model rockets: Big Bertha & Starship Octavius. After finishing assembly, the kids decided they wanted to choose different paint colors for their rockets as well as pick out their next project (building model cars). Needing to go to Mishawaka, we went to Hobby Lobby (HL) this time. Of course their selection is massive, and there were a lot of things hubby saw there that he also saw at MCH. His excitement quickly turned into frustration when he realized that a lot of the same products he had purchased at MCH were almost double that the price of HL. He paid $16 for a rocket (Starship Octavius) at MCH & the same one was at HL for $9.99. He found this to be the case with most every aspect of the project. Talk about disappointing! He vowed to only do his hobby affairs with HL moving forward. Very sad, because we always want to support small businesses.. but gouging the prices in such a way is what makes folks turn their backs on these small mom & pop shops, and steer more towards the big box stores.

They have a small counter top display with dice, an area with trading card accessories (like binders, deck boxes, and playing mats), and a trading card event space. While we were there, a trading card tournament was actively being held. Employees were friendly, prices were fair and the space was well organized. Even with a good amount of people in the building, it didn't feel crowded. Even with the tournament going on, several employees were helping customers not involved with the event and keeping on top of regular business. I would recommend this spot to stop for comics or trading cards.

It is a large space, so I can definitely see coming back for tournaments for Magic or another card game. The tables set out for tournaments were definitely the focal point of the store, as that's what really took up the floor space. Most of the cards we saw were mounted on the walls. They had a large selection of cards and a good amount of sale prices. I was a little disappointed to see they didn't have many dice, but maybe they were just low on stock. The employee was cool and very informative about their back stock. I still have my go-to spot in the area but I will definitely be back to shop again or possibly a tournament. When I double checked my credit card account it shows I was charged the full amount, no credit for the missing items. ( Invoice shows "Quantity 0" for the missing items, no explanation if this was out of stock, backordered, discontinued, or whatever). After several e-mails I am still waiting for my credit. Also no tracking of the order, and it didn't ship until 11 days after the order was placed. If you order from this company prepare to be disappointed.
