dont go to do any business with them. they will try to upsell you. the gentleman did not know that i understand portuguese. he's a brazilian guy. i speak portuguese very fluently. i dropped off a vehicle for them to work on it. he tried please be very mindful. do not allow this gentleman to do any work on your vehicle. he's going to try to upsell you. i dropped off a for a minor repaired. this guy took over a month and a half when i dropped off my was running got the car back. it's not running so now. i gotta spend money and take it to a different rc store. i'm gonna do a good review on youtube because i'm very big on youtube. read more

This is a full blown airplane, and monster truck and boat remote control hobby shop. At first glance, I quickly realized that this is not your grandmas hobby shop. Giant airplanes hanging from the ceiling and model cars and trucks stacked against the wall. A clear glass remote control display case proudly in view. Alot of the customers here are part of the Markham Park remote control airplane clubs. The thing that drew my main attention were the monster high end remote control trucks at the front of the shop. The employee, Hyme, assisted me with some common questions regarding the battery life and pricing which was $800 - $1200 based on many factors. They do offer smaller not as powerful versions of the trucks for under $500. The back of the shop had a super cool train set on display with horns honking and moving trains on the track. I had one of these back in the day. Plenty of wonderful stuff here for the expert or novist. read more

He steered me away from buying items I didn't need as someone new getting into RC planes. Ariel got me into an Apprentice STS 1.5M as my first plane and I absolutely love it! Customer Service = Excellent I visited a few other hobby stores locally and wish I had tried Hobby Glades first. I called Hobby Glades to inquire about product availability. Ariel answered and was very patient and helped me. I decided to visit the store and was warmly welcomed by Ariel. Once inside the store, I told Ariel what I was looking to do and he was very patient. Ariel showed me my options and after I selected what I wanted, he walked me through setting up my boat and gave me a tutorial on how to use my new ProBoat. Ariel's patience for a person new to the RC hobby and his customer service has resulted in Ariel having a customer for life. I was looking for hobby stores not too far from me and came across Hobby Glades. I called and left a massage of what I was looking for and within a hour my phone rang. Ariel asked me a few questions about what plane I was going to install the Servos in and told me he had in stock the servos I should use. Ariel didn't try to sell me more expensive servos asked how I was going to fly the Ultra Stick and said these would work just fine. Wow! This is by far the best shop in Town for new RC cars in stock and all the parts you can imagine. The owner and staff are very knowledgeable and are patient in helping answer any questions. *Disregard the 1-star review below. My friend was in the shop when this guy was screaming at the owner, irate about a car he bought used off someone else. I found this shop online. I was looking for a shop that worked on gas RC boats. I have spent a good amount of money on boats at the shop (more time in the shop then I've been able to use them). I also have an electric RC car I took to them they did over $400 dollars worth of work. 2 days after picking up the car, second time playing with it the car catches fire. The next day I take it to hobby glades and Ariel the owner tells me he's not going to fix and doesn't want to do business with me anymore. Extremely bad business. Over $1000 I've spent at that shop in the last month on all my toys and then treated like garbage. Beware!! read more

I was in ft. Lauderdale for a few days ,so I decided to go to hobby glades. I had a list of parts that I needed. I was met by the owner. What a nice guy. I told him I was from Atlanta so he showed me his store. I went to the back of the store. Wow it's was huge. He had monster size planes he was working on. There was cars,trucks,planes and all kinds of parts throughout the store. With my list in hand. I asked for everything on it. Well I was amazed I got everything on my list. The owner was very informative and explained everything I needed to know about my purchase. He took his time to show me every option I had with no pressure to buy and gave me the best options. I have been living in Weston for the last four years, and I never knew that this small hobby shop existed in our area, when I first visited Glades Hobby, first impression was of a very humble store with a great crew and willing to help any type of hobbyist including the ones that don't know anything about the RC world. My son and I were very overwhelmed by the amount of airplanes cars, parts and boats that they had in the store and yet the owner and the employees of the place were so friendly that we were really exited that the store would definitely be our one stop shop in our neighborhood. I have now been buying equipment from Hobby Glades for a year and I am very pleased with the type of service and help that the crew and the owner have always given us as hobbyist in the field. I appreciate everything those guys do to make us happy in the RC world and I can tell you that I will continue supporting a small business as opposed as buying from the big guys online which you'll never be able to get a good answer from a phone call.
