They charge people more than the marked price! They constantly do this and are doing nothing to correct it. Item was marked down to $8 and they charged me $17!! I called and they told me I had to come all the way back up there. Look at all these reviews saying the same thing happened to them!!! We need to get a class action lawsuit going against hobby lobby. read more

Check your receipts before you leave. I was charged for an extra item in my bill. My total was relatively low, but to put it in perspective, if I bought $75 worth of items, the cashier charged me an extra $25 through one "item". Giving the benefit of the doubt, mistakes happen. I called and spoke to Danny, the manager. I asked for this to be remedied. I was told I had to come back to the store (not true) and that he would have to "check the cameras to make sure I wasn't lying." Oh, ok, so now on top of being charged significantly extra by "mistake", I now have to drive back after I put my kids to bed and get called a liar? I'm glad I now have a reason to not shop here ever again. The place is overpriced and run by bigots anyways. read more

This is a relatively new Hobby Lobby, you can tell by the tiles being in pristine order and brightness! No random aged tiles here, no sir! The place looks absolutely massive on the inside. With the size so big, I noticed they got more themed decor in the place, along with actual toys, not just hobby toys. Stuff like Nerf guns, and Gundam build kits. They also embraced the gamer aesthetic, with whole aisles of nerdy statements and quippy signs that are all very much Hobby Lobby themed. Place is pretty well stocked for a lot of things. read more

Just had a few returns, including two doll stands that I bought the wrong size (needed smaller). Unfortunately the two receipts I had "did not match" the items, so I asked the (rather snippy) cashier woman if I could just get a store credit, since I was buying more items (which were laid out on the counter in front of her). She refused. I said, "Okay, I'll just take these home and try to find the receipt for them," and she didn't disagree. Apparently that's what she wanted me to do. After I get home, I went through all my Hobby Lobby receipts but couldn't find one that had two "Crafts" department purchases on it. (Since Hobby Lobby refuses to use barcodes.....) However, then I spotted the RETURN POLICY printed on the receipts...which says clearly: "You may exchange merchandise or be issued a merchandise credit based on the lowest selling price in the last 60 days." IT WAS RIGHT THERE! Yet this woman refused to give me a store credit / credit towards the merchandise I was buying, and instead agreed that I needed to go home, look for the receipt, and then drive BACK to the store -- wasting gas and time -- instead of just giving me the credit I could've had at the time. I really hate having to shop at Hobby Lobby. I can't stand all the sappy Christian crap (sorry, but I was raised Christian and now know the truth about that religion), and yes, I know, it's a "Christian-run business," but they have the kinds of yarn I need for my projects, so I put up with it. I should not, however, have to put up with apathetic cashiers working at the "Returns and Exchanges" register who seem to be unfamiliar with the store's returns and exchanges policies. read more

Checked out the Framing department, and Karen there was super knowledgeable, patient and competent. There were multiple customers asking for help and she worked with us and answer questions with patience and efficiency. I wanted to frame 6 art pieces and she completed them while fielding questions and requests from other customers, with grace and professionalism. Do not shop here. They had marked an item incorrectly and instead of honoring their mistake, they complained to me about how they had just marked it that morning. I don't care--you messed up. not my problem. I didn't know it was marked incorrectly, I just picked it up off a shelf. Manager Robin was unbelievably rude and walked away halfway through a conversation. read more

Spent almost 2 hours in the store shopping, when I was ready too check out. The nice cashier rung me up after my total I went too use tap too pay. And learned they don't accept tap. Frustrating!! read more

Everyone was great, the manager was helpful with my return, however Nancy was rude to me and asked me to take my return items out of the bag, gives me a dirty look like she is not going to count them, or it's a hassle for her. Then asks me to count them as she counted them. All that matters is Nancy counts them since she is the one inputting the return in the system yet tells me she Has to count them as well for the cameras, if you have to count them, Nancy, we both don't need to. And her attitude was poor. But beside Nancy everyone else there is friendly and helpful. read more

I have been going to Hobby Lobby for over 15 years and was THRILLED when this store opened. However, the customer service at this location leaves much to be desired. NOTE: Heads up, according to cashier Robin, they no longer do the "coupons through the register" thing, you have to bring your coupon in. My phone battery had just died and I wasn't able to get to my HL coupon, so lost out on my 40%. I would give HL 4-1/2 stars for merchandise, quality, great bargainsand 1 star for its customer service. (Weird, cashier was friendly to the person in front of me, but when she got to me she was snooty, but that's on her, unfortunately her "true" personality was showing through when I got to her) The lack of personality in their cashiers won't stop me from coming back to one of MY favorite stores! In a time when people should be grateful just to have jobs, perhaps you could find someone with a more "helpful" personality. Sorry, your customer service had to cost you 2 stars. read more

I'm sorry but management at this location is extremely rude and profiles customers, I stopped in yesterday afternoon with my husband and my adult son happened to see my car and came in to say Hi (as he had to drop something off for work down the street) and see if we found anything, 2 calls over intercom after he walked in (he's in his mid 30s!) we have spent thousands of dollars over the years at Hobby Lobby but anyway after 2nd call skinny white manager shows up In aisle we are in and steps in front of us and starts straightening boxes, weird, rude, then they had nothing new we started to head out my son left first, and hubby and I coming up behind as he's walking out 2 managers one make dark hair and female heavy dark hair maybe cashier standing by door pointing at my son and talking about him as my husband and I approached then look at us and say thanks for coming in - this specific behavior is disgusting and the male manager is constantly rude and seems to be confrontational with customers and have no idea why. I have been an Applewood resident for 40 years and this is NOT THE CUSTOMER SERVICE OR BUSINESS MODEL that we deserve or that I thought Hobby Lobby stands for! read more

This is by far the worst hobby lobby you will go to. There is a lady who typically always works in the returns line and she is terrible. Rude and absolutely clueless about how anything works. If you buy a lot, sometimes something won't work out and she is so awful and make you feel horrible for returning something. I'm done, I've given this store far too many chances. I love Hobby Lobby for what they carry but their Management is pathetic . Managers stand up front and do nothing until there is a problem with a return , other than that , they stand and talk to another employee with lines a mile long. Several times they charge incorrectly. so anyone who shops there should check their receipts before you leave! Recently, I was walking out , noticed instead of 40% off , I was charged extra like 60% more. I went up to the manager, showed her and she said that unfortunately I would have to get back in line, which there was only one and had at least 10 people in it.
