I used to love this store, however I will not be returning. I ran out this evening to grab a fun craft for our family to do... after waiting forever in line, they finally opened another register. The young girl, Olivia, checked me out... I had my young daughter with me and was ready to get out of there. My total was $168.64... I handed my card over and left... thinking that was a lot for what I bought and I specifically remember seeing 50% off almost everything I bought.. and some with 30% off. When I got home, I decided to check my receipt and the prices online to see if I was wrong about the 50% and 30% off.... I was not wrong, the girl didn't mark anything off for me. My total was $168.64... My total SHOULD HAVE BEEN $103.09 That is a major difference. I called the store immediately and asked if I could take a picture of my items and then come back with the receipt tomorrow.. the woman had an attitude and told me that I have to bring everything back tomorrow. So.. now that our family craft night was ruined by an incompetent worker, I will be RETURNING everything tomorrow and then I will never return again. I'll buy my craft items at Michael's from now on. Also... how stupid is the hobby lobby receipt!? It isn't detailed at all, so I had to go through each item myself, look at the price on the tag, then look it up on their website and thenCheck off each price on the receipt and write down what it should've been. I have loved Hobby Lobby for years and most of my houses Decore is from here. i must say my recent visits have not been great! Hope L and Colby are always so helpful and extremely friendly, but one of the cashiers "Michelle" treated me like I was an inconvenience because she had to get me $60 in change and the girl (Morgan)that went and got the change made a snarky comment of "it's gonna be a lot of 10s." I would have been happy to use a different form of payment if I was asked but I was looked at like I had 2 heads when I handed the cashier a hundred. I've ever looked for someones name before to make sure I knew who they were, but this was extremely disappointing. I didnt have any smaller bills but would have been fine using my credit card. A smile and kindness go a long way and maybe people like this shouldn't be working your registers. I see alot of negative comments about your cashiers. Maybe It's time to listen to them. read more

Hobby Lobby has everything a crafter could possibly want. The prices are higher than other craft stores, but they do carry items that can't be found anywhere else. The only issue I have with this store is that the employees on the floor, when you can find one, are not at all willing to assist customers. It took about 10 minutes before I could even locate an employee to ask for assistance. When I did,I was told "Over there, on the other side of the floor." When I STILL was unable to find what I was looking for, it took another 10 minutes to locate another employee & upon asking for assistance in locating the item I was looking for, the employee pointed in a general direction and again, I was told "Over there, on the back wall." When I FINALLY found what I needed, it was not on the back wall & there wasn't any signage to make things helpful. Yet when I shop at one of Hobby Lobby's competitors, I am not only able to quickly find assistance from employees on the floor, the employees at these other craft stores also take me directly to the area where the item I'm looking for is located! I won't be shopping at Hobby Lobby for many months to come. it was truly a disappointing and frustrating experience. read more

it was crowded with no mask enforcement or social distancing. even the employees (girl with brown, curled hair and a kneel length black skirt and an older blond with bangs at register one- you know who you are) were not wearing masks. if i could give this zero stars i would. i have enjoyed shopping at hobby lobby for quite some time and was very excited to go look for more christmas decorations for my house. maybe i was spoiled by how other stores handled this pandemic with their mask and sanitation enforcement but i was in absolute shock that hobby lobby seemed to lack basic common sense during this time. as soon as i walked in, two customers waltzed through the doors like they were immune to covid-19. i quickly walked in the other direction but was startled by a large family with young children not wearing masks. i continue to shop but mind you, it was so packed that i thought about leaving to go to home goods. i almost lost my marbles when i saw an EMPLOYEE with her mask around her chin like she was santa claus or something with a beard. it was a horrible reflection of the store. if i could describe my experience in one word, it would be grimy. the carts were sticky and there were MASKLESS customers coughing in the aisles. it kind of reminded me of alleyways during the bubonic plague. but maybe that was the image they were going for. i literally couldn't stand it anymore and had to leave the store. the real cherry on top was the cashier at register one who's mask was below her nose. i lathered on my hand sanitizer as soon as i got to the car and went to home goods. i don't know if it was the horrendous experience i had at hobby lobby, but home goods is doing an amazing job handling covid-19. an employee at the door politely reminding customers to put their masks on, signs promoting social distancing, touch less hand sanitizer pumps, and employees all preaching cdc recommendations. it is safe to say that i will never go back to hobby lobby again. ordering online has never been so easy so i find it hard to understand why people would put themselves and others at risk just because they cannot wear a piece of fabric for 30 minutes. you would have thought that a company so devoted to donald trump would have more precautions considering their lord and savior "president" had contracted covid-19. maybe they have an "i jump, you jump" kind of ideology and are ready to go down with him. overall, i was extremely disappointed with the company, employees, and customers. it would be a real shame if those customers were to end up amongst the 266k already dead from covid-19. i guess it is safe to say that i will not miss their tasteless, tacky, and heinous "yee yee" and country bumpkin decorations. home goods for the win! read more

I love Hobby Lobby! I am there all of the time with my two little girls for anything from craft supplies to holiday decorations. I know half of the store employees by name because they are always so polite and helpful. My youngest makes me nervous around the breakables, but the staff never seen to mind. They may be a little more expensive than, say, Walmart, but they have what I am looking for and the shopping experience is more enjoyable. read more

A crafter's dream. You can find everything you could possibly need at Hobby Lobby! I'd also suggest going there with particular item/ purchases in mind or it could be somewhat of a spending trap. If your looking to start a new craft, do some research before buying supplies. You may not need everything the store recommends. Prices are high on some things but reasonable on others. They also offer coupons electrically do if you have a Smartphone I'd recommend finding coupons that may apply while you are there. This store is very clean and has a large selection of various crafts and decorative items within its huge footprint. However the customer service is nearly non-existent so good luck finding the specific product you want. I went recently looking for a beginner crochet book, hoping to support a brick and mortar store. I couldn't locate any among the rows of yarn, including the adjacent row of needlework. I also couldn't locate an employee anywhere in this entire half of the store to ask for help. After I got back up to the exit, I saw an employee unboxing some items and decided to ask her, even though I guess she'd probably send me back to the yarn area. Not only did age have no idea whether they carried any booklets, she did send me back, but to the FABRIC area! Once I trekked all the way back to that dept., there was no one to be found. I found a bell to ring thankfully. This employee also didn't have any idea if there was a beginner book on crochet despite telling me it was indeed her dept. She looked over all the same aisles I already had only to inform me they didn't carry the type of book I wanted. I left the store very disappointed and frustrated. And then I went right home and ordered what I wanted from Amazon. read more

my last trip to hobby lobby (last night) was quite possibly the worst shopping trip i've endured throughout this entire pandemic. as i entered the building crowds were forming throughout the christmas section, and the other customers that entered behind me did not have masks on. i had hoped to be in and out of the store quickly (i was only here for one item) but customers backed up the aisles as if social distancing was a foreign idea. masks were not mandated as multiple people were seen without them, including 2 employees with masks down around their chins. there weren't any disinfectant wipes in sight, and there was no attempt to limit the number of people in the store at one time. the crowds were reminiscent of a walmart's front doors when they open on black friday, however we are in the middle of a pandemic and there is really no excuse for what i witnessed. it's just a bad reflection of the store and i was disappointed, as i've been a loyal customer since they opened. i took my business elsewhere (homegoods) and they had a wonderful employee greeting each customer and ensuring their cart was disinfected before use and the number of people in the store was limited. overall, disappointing experience at hobby lobby but props to homegoods for saving my night! read more
