Even then, no one acknowledged me or came over to ask if I needed assistance. After standing there with no response, I wandered around the store hoping someone might check in. Only one person said hello, and I couldn't even tell if they worked there because they had no badge or uniform. Meanwhile, there were about six people gathered around a table setting up a Warhammer game, complete with miniatures, terrain, and buildings. They were laughing, joking, and clearly enjoying themselves. Could one of them have been an employee ? Who knows!? I don't mind people having fun at work, and I understand they probably all knew each other well. But you'd think at least one of them would have noticed a new customer walking around the store looking a little lost. Not a single person broke away from the group to ask if I needed help or even acknowledge that I was there. What makes it more disappointing is that I genuinely try to support local businesses instead of just ordering everything on Amazon. I'd much rather walk into a store, make a connection, and support a local community space. But this visit made it clear that this particular store didn't seem to care about welcoming new customers or earning that kind of loyalty.

I have to think most people are familiar with these stores, so I won't go into describing everything inside. This is a nice & clean store with friendly staff. Aisles are usually pretty well stocked with random stuff, you're likely to find what you need. They've also got food and a frozen section. However today's trip.. If you don't care for your job, maybe don't go to work.... I went to Family Dollar today as I'm a pretty frequent flyer with it being right down the street from me. Immediately upon walking in I felt off. The cashier working just STARED at me. Dead blank stare. Weird. When it was time to check out, the person working the register again just stared for a few moments until asking if I was ready to cash out. Scanned my items in a hurry, didn't tell me my total but immediately took out his phone and started to play games right on the conveyor belt. Uhhh.... If today was my first trip in there, let it be known that it would definitely have been my last.

I saw a fishing theme, cowboy and horse area. Snowmen, gnomes, angels, pets, professions... Honestly you'll just have to go see the magic for yourself. The flowers were not delivered on Saturday because the delivery driver left them in the cooler. The arrangement was delivered on Mother's Day, which was fine, and actually more appropriate of course. However, the arrangement I paid for didn't look exactly like the picture on the website. Cheaper Chrysanthemum flowers were used to fill it in, which were not listed in the description on their website. The arrangement is supposed to come with white roses and spray roses, lavender stock and wax flower. It doesn't say anything about chrysanthemums. Also the bow wrapped around the vase was supposed to be purple or lavender, but it was white. I know it might sound like I'm nitpicking, and my mother was happy of course, but the order cost $90 and $15 of that was for shipping and she lives 5 mi away from the flower shop. I believe if you pay premium prices for a premium product you should get the premium product the day you're supposed to get it, and it should have the flowers that the picture displayed on their website has, otherwise, to me it is false advertising, which is a lie and a cheat. This is why I gave them four stars out of five. I'm not saying don't order flowers from them, but beware you may not get exactly what you are paying for.
