Went to Hobby Lobby today to find an item I had seen online. The Seekonk store is always clean and well organized. I found exactly what I was looking for in the well marked aisles. I appreciate the sales the store frequently has. Everything I purchased was at least 40% off. Compared to other "craft" stores, I believe Hobby Lobby has the best prices and most eclectic variety of items. A few downfalls include paying for bags to bring your purchased items out and some of their political affiliations and policies. However, I'm finding it difficult to find any Apolitical business and political neutrality is rare today. read more

Hobby Lobby stores are all over the United States and offer the best in project, party and home supplies. This Hobby Lobby store in Seekonk, MA is walking distance to BJ's Wholesale Club, Staples, Panera Bread, and Raising Cane's. There are plenty of parking spots. I was shopping at BJ's Wholesale Club and suddenly the fire alarm went off, so I walked to Hobby Lobby to check it out and stay warm. The store was huge and when you walk in, there are aisles of holiday items from gift tags, wrapping paper, gift boxes, stockings, wreaths, and other decor items. Throughout the other aisles are fabric, wall decor, books, party items, frames, paper crafts, and so much more. All aisles were labelled and fully stocked. I purchased car coasters as a gift. There were multiple registers open and the cashier was friendly. Service was quick. I will definitely come back to Hobby Lobby when I need supplies for a DIY project or a party. read more

Really do not like store. Employees very unhelpful and stock is uninteresting. Many better choices out there.

Eh, this review is going to be all over the place because I didn't know how to rate it. So here goes! This place is HUGE & they always have sales, literally always and I appreciate that. The store is kind of like an oversized Michaels, the prices in here are great and the selection is intense. They have everything and anything you can ask for in the crafty department and they have so many unique pictures I LOVE THEM! You can easily spend hours in this store just looking around. This store is for sure for the crafty people! The store is always so clean, I mean very clean! And I really enjoy being in and clean store, the store is also very easy to navigate you aren't smushed In an isle you have full room to move around. Now my only issues here are the lines are always so long, they literally always only have 1-2 cashiers and the lines go very slow. Also the cashiers I have ran into here don't even acknowledge you, no hello no nothing. And they have to manually type in everything so that's annoying and makes the lines longer. This place for sure lacks customer service skills. But otherwise the store itself is very nice. read more

So they maybe stole some priceless artifacts, dislike the LBGTQ community and women's rights, and never have enough staff on during peak hours, but they have a HUGE selection of adorable end tables that are always 30% off so I still like them a little. My local store is always clean and well stocked. the few staff that do work at the store are pleasant. I enjoy when they refer to me as the " lady who knows how to make artsy stuff" haha. I will be sad when they inevitably close one day for the above mentioned reasons but I will gladly buy all those adorable end tables when that day comes. read more

I visit this store for craft & sewing supplies. These departments have shrunk significantly in the past few months. Aisles are much narrower so they can increase the home decor. Multiple times have waited over 20 minutes for someone to come cut fabric & some don't know what they are doing. T-pins/safety pins used to hold material on bolts make giant holes in fabric and will scratch you deeply. I am careful & still always leave bleeding. Many employees are nasty, & hygiene questionable. They claim to be a Christian business but their behavior is anything but. read more

This was an interesting visit!! It has a huge variety of everything hobby related... Their prices vary from deals to some things that were over priced... There's just so much stuff!! read more

Prior to my most recent visit... I had visited a Hobby Lobby only once before out in Warwick, RI area. My mother was actually the one to suggest checking it out as I had never heard of it. Excited that Seekonk seems to be expanding a bit in the way of craft stores (YAYAYAYAYAY!!!!) I was more than happy to stop by here the other day to check out what they had to offer. Prepare to be blown away by the sheer volume of items within this location. I visited on a Saturday morning... parking lot filled to the brim. Surprisingly though, it seemed like there weren't nearly as many people inside as there were cars out (though I assume this is due to the enormous square footage of this business). There is an aisle for almost every art and craft imaginable. I was interested to see what each held and found myself wandering for some time deciding what to use my 40% off coupon on. There are scrapbook supplies, floral arrangements, reproduced antique signage, yarn, canvas/paints, fabrics, picture frames, beading/jewelry, home accents, needlework and so so so so so much more. The employees are extremely helpful and genuinely seemed interested in whatever project you are shopping for. After much perusing... I ultimately purchased several yards of a hard-to-find fleece fabric pattern I happened across as well as a large sheet of bulletin board cover paper. I would certainly place this store in my lineup of art/craft suppliers, though I'm not sure I would primarily shop here and no where else. The sale prices are fantastic when you can catch them (along with any coupons filing through in the mail) but their regular pricing can be a bit steep. I definitely would have left with more if not for this fact. I was turned away by seemingly exorbitant pricing on several home accent items. P.S. While artsy crafty stores generally draw a more feminine crowd, this place was full of products to fulfill the masculine favor. Plenty of things to decorate those Man Caves and replica memorabilia to tickle the fancy of any buyer within these walls. read more

Rachel Was not helpful at all. I had called to ask if something was in stock and she was very rude. I went to the store and her attitude was not any better. read more

My niece is getting married in May and once in a while I like to pretend I am a crafty gal. I'd like to make her some type of memento. Off I head to this brand spanking new Hobby Lobby that appeared overnight out of nowhere. Actually, it's in the old Sports Authority location. The parking lot was packed, but there weren't a lot of shoppers inside. I saw many, many employees, all that were willing to help someone locate an item. This store is bright, clean and enormous. They have almost every type of arts and crafts item that your little heart could desire and some things you didn't even know you had to have. They fabric section is large with a ton of home decor fabric. If I actually knew how to sew, I'd probably frequent this aisle. There is a ton of "ready to use" home decor and decoration. Sale prices are not bad. Regular prices are hit or miss. Seekonk is really getting competitive in the crafting area, with the newly expanded Michael's, this new Hobby Lobby and the soon to open AC Moore. There are a few things working against Hobby Lobby. They don't open on Sunday "to allow employees time for family & worship". I took a star off for this. I don't think this is going to work well for them in this area. Route 6 in Seekonk on a Sunday is normally a mass of shoppers. Some people get offended when a store seems to be overly religious. Hobby Lobby prominently sells quite a few more religious items than your normal craft store. If you are a CCD or Sunday School teacher and need crafting items for your classes, this is the place to go. As for the item I was looking for, they did have it, but the price was a bit staggering. I'll be checking Michaels next door or waiting until I have a coupon to purchase it.....on a day other than Sunday. read more

I travel for work so I'm constantly in a new city every 2 weeks. I have never been in a hobby lobby before but the show I was doing happened to be at the store next door. They advertise sales but most of it the sale price is actually the everyday price online. I went in relatively early so the shelves were neat and organized. Most items you can buy cheaper elsewhere. A bit annoying to hear employees gossiping about others.. but they gave me no issues. read more

Once I passed my purity test, donned my modesty bonnet, and was assigned my requisite Hobby Lobby male escort to make sure I didn't make any silly uterus-based purchases, I was free to shop! I saw heathen yarns of mixed fibers and a plethora of products made in China. Surely, these items were there accidentally as they are clearly not in keeping with a company of Hobby Lobby's high commitment to all things Christian. Sadly, I will not be able to confirm that these steps have been taken as I failed the exit interview and was banned for life. Pro-tip: when you are leaving and they ask you "Do you now or have you ever considered yourself a human being, capable of making choices for yourself?" the correct answer is not "Yes, what kind of an idiotic question is that?" Also, limited parking for the time machines required to get here. read more

I'm torn on this place. On one hand, I love the fact that the selection is great and there are some good deals. On the other hand, I hate the lines and the fact that they manually enter prices into the register. There was a sign saying my frame was half off. The girl at the register decided that it was not half off and refused to give me the right price or even check the display. I won't be back. I don't have the patience for that. read more

I've shopped at Michael's for years. Shopping at Michael's entails watching the Sunday paper for their ad and clipping the 40% off any single item coupon. With coupon in hand, proceed to buy one item per week when I'm in the neighborhood. Otherwise, the stuff is priced twice what it's worth. I went to Hobby Lobby and bought art supplies, and they were noticeably cheaper than I was used to paying. Last week, I bought clay and it was 30% off. This week, jewelry making supplies were 50% off! They have the best selection of yarn anywhere, and their house brand "I love this yarn" is very nice. Also, they are the only ones that carry Yarn Bee, which is also very good stuff. I'm digging it. A manager told me to download their app, which I did, and I'm checking the weekly offers. I get a 40% coupon with the app I can use once a day! Also, sales repeat about every 15 days. My one big gripe about the place is the long lines at the registers. They don't use a barcode scanner! They said it saves money, but you've got to stand there while they look up your stuff in a book and punch in each item. Aargh! They are also slow to replace items and I've gone week after week to find things I use regularly out of stock. I don't care that the owner of the company is religious and fought Obama's not to have to provide employees with birth control. They don't pay for Viagra do they? Are we upset? They're religious. The place has bibles for sale at the registers. There's tins of Christian mints the little Jesus fish on them at the registers. Religious motivational plaques. Two aisles of them. I get it. It's a religions themed craft store. If you don't like it, don't shop there. As long as their prices are better, I don't care if they worship cats like the Egyptians, I'm shopping there. In fact, I'm picking up a "Let the spirit move you" sign for the bathroom! read more

Went last Saturday and love the selection! The store was much bigger than I anticipated. I loved all the options and the discounts. I also had an extra 40% off I found online. I was eager to get a frame with a bible verse for my living room, then was suspicious about the verse quote, i looked it up and sure enough it was the wrong verse all other lol. Also, when you go here, don't be in a hurry, the cashiers key in each item. They don't have scanners but I didn't mind, I was in no hurry. Will visit soon! read more

Love Hobby Lobby! The store is always very neat, clean and well stocked. Sometimes the lines are long and checkout can be slow but that's the way it is so I don't get myself in a huff over it. Sometimes we just need to slooow down. read more

I saw a piece of furniture I wanted, and tried to buy it online using the 40% off coupon. It was available "in store only" and they refused to honor the price, insisting that it was on sale, even though it was the exact same price as the online listing. The "30% off" listed is their "everyday price", so how is that on sale? Discount pricing is not the same as a sale price. When I showed the manager a similar piece in my online cart that allowed me to use the coupon (which was also good in store), she lamely told me that they have different rules for online shopping and again refused to honor my coupon. (For the record, other major stores honor online price/coupon combos, so I was not being unreasonable). Compounding my disgust is the fact that the cashier insisted - without checking inventory - that the scratched floor model was the only piece they could sell me. No thanks, not for full price! For that kind of "deal" they can kiss my butt! I was not yelling, nor was my voiced raised; I simply spoke firmly, but the manager got the vapors over it and tried reprimanding me like a child and treated her cashier like a child, as well. I was embarrassed for the cashier! This "manager" is an example of how not to treat both employees and customers. This was my first and last time shopping here. They advertise "Christian values" then bait and switch with their principles and pricing. Hypocrisy, thy name is "Hobby Lobby"! Edit: Drove 1/4 mile down the street to At Home and found a similar, nicer piece for less than what Hobby Lobby should have charged me! I'll be Googling the product and be certain to buy a new, undamaged piece, and will make certain that I purchase it from a Hobby Lobby competitor. read more

They have a good selection things for kids! You can find the dinosaur in the dirt and be like an archaeologist! The kids and even myself love it! read more

The long lines at check-out are enough to drive anyone mentally insane. Yes they have nice merchandise but not worth the cost of your money AND 30 minutes of your day. Get with the program HL and get scanners! read more

Went into the Seekonk store to purchase yarn. The sign clearly said 30% off all yarn. They refused to give me the 30% off. Also had a 75% off item that they refused to give me at 75% off after we just heard the cashier give an add'l 75% off to a friend that came through her line. Send in a complaint to corporate which was useless. Will never shop here again. Poor customer service from a questionable company. read more

They really need to work on staffing their checkouts. It's neat and clean in there but it's very difficult to locate things. More staffing please. read more

I loved this store! Thy have such an amazing selection of crafts, home decor, and seasonal items. Some things were surprisingly on the expensive side. It's as if a Michaels, home goods and Xmas tree had a baby. It's the best of all 3 stores! It's a must try. read more

Great place with friendly service, I will definitely be giving them more of my business.

I love this store for seasonal home decor! My only complaint is that the general home decor doesn't change that much. I visit often but they always have the same pictures I saw for months before. I will like to see more new items. read more

Visited this store for the first time and was surprised by how high priced most things were! The items I needed were $3 - $4 higher than Michael's or Target and I left there to shop elsewhere! Obviously, they don't do comparison shopping! Also, their clearance section isn't really a clearance section as items I found in the clearance section weren't on clearance. They should be more careful about what is there. Cashier and manager was rude, so this store left an awful bad taste in my mouth. Michael's is a much better place to shop!! read more

My experience here has always been good. They have some products priced right and some a bit overpriced. The selection is good and if you don't find what you went there for, you will find something else. The lines are long and some of the cashier's are lacking in the customer service department but I've never had the issue about pricing like one of the other reviews, because I've been in management prior to owning my own company and would not have paid the price if I knew it was 50% off. You simply ask for a Manager if the cashier refuses to give you the price you feel it was listed for. In Massachusetts, even if the item was priced 50% off when it was no longer on sale, they are required to honor that price. That's because Massachusetts has one of the best Consumer Protection Laws in the USA! So if you have a bad experience, speak up and most likely your experience will be better. I agree with other reviews, the lines are usually long but the prices are good and sometimes they have unique products that you won't see elsewhere. read more

This store is absolutely huge but here's the problem. Nobody wants to help. I tried asking for help to find something and the associate gave me an attitude like I should know where everything was. This place being religious and closing on Sunday's you think the associates would be a little kinder or more helpful but no. On another occasion I asked an associate where something was and I got a sarcastic "well have you ever been here before". They should have a map of they aren't going to help me. And some of the prices are a little too high with some selections being small. Overall I will shopping at Michael's from now on. read more

This place doesn't even deserve 1 star. Well maybe 1, for the young girl who attempted to help me when the sorry excuse for a manager wanted no part. I called at about 10a this morning to see if they had a particular piece in stock. I was given attitude on the phone (pretty sure it was the manager) that yes they had it and was that it? I asked about how many they had. Her response was why, do you need a specific number?? like I was bothering her! I stated I only needed 1, but wanted to possibly hold it. She stated, they had 4 and that wasn't necessary, and HUNG UP! So I drive out of my way after work, IN TRAFFIC to go get my item. Guess what was NOT in stock?! So I find a nice girl that worked there to assist me. She found the manager, Stephanie, who gave me more attitude then I have ever received from anyone in my life, let alone a customer service manager! This lady should NOT be allowed to work with the public. She walked away and did nothing to help me. Needless to say, I will NOT be returning to this store EVER. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR and drive to the Warwick store. I have contacted corporate about this service and still have yet to hear back. read more
