I've always had decent experiences at Hobby Lobby. The workers don't seem willing to help, but they aren't unpleasant once you ask for assistance.
More than a month ago, I submitted a job application to Hobby Lobby. A friend of a friend suggested this to me - I'm a college student - and said she had a fantastic experience working there throughout college.
After a week of no response, I went in to Hobby Lobby and asked an employee about the wait time for responses to job applications. She told me that the wait time is usually about two weeks... which I and one of my professors thought was odd, considering that Palestine is a fairly small town. "Two weeks and you'll get a response."
I waited another week, totaling two, no call or email from them.
Even my professor, who I had listed as a reference caller, asked me about it. Apparently, this Hobby Lobby hadn't even bothered to contact my first reference (there were only three!). Very lazy.
The lack of professionalism on their part is truly disappointing. Thankfully, I'm not in dire need of a job. If I had been, it would've been fairly upsetting. read more
