Overall Hobby Lobby itself is a wonderful place to get items but the employees are killing the store. The lady running the register was rude to the customer in from of me. She was short 8 cents and the cashier made sure everyone knew..She rolled her eyes as the lady counted out the change. Once it was my turned the automatically said "These don't qualify for the 50% off" referring to the LED lights. I explained I got them off the end cap with a sign. She stated they were markdowns and clearance items don't get the 50% off. Asked for the manager and he said "Where? Show me where you got these" Walked over the the end cap and he quickly pointed to the sign and said "Your Price" isn't part of the sale. When I told him the display had only those items he walked off on the middle of me talking. Wether or not it was a simple mistake the customer service experience was awful. read more

I LOOOOOOVE Hobby Lobby! We have moved from city to city 5 times in the past 5 years and I was ECSTATIC that Midland, TX has my FAVORITE CRAFT STORE (just as the other cities I've lived in)! I know some people are like "Ugh, they're too religious." OR "They don't care about women's health (bc they don't provide birth control to their employees due to their Christian beliefs)." etc. but I don't care. Partially, because I am religious but partially because I just LOVE Hobby Lobby! I could wander around the store for HOURS (if I didn't have my 3 kids with me). There is so much to look at here! Furniture, housewares, paintings/artwork, picture frames, crafting supplies, fabric, seasonal merchandise galore! So many unique items that you don't see in other craft stores. And if you like the "Farmhouse" look, this is your decoration destination. If I was rich, I would go to town with decorating from here. (Instead, I take pics of some of the art and make it myself!) They usually have so much on sale that I don't need to even use a coupon. Like, 50% off art, 50% off lamps, 30% off wood crafts, etc. Of course on my visit today I needed blank cards/envelopes and they're "always" on sale... not today. Luckily I have the Hobby Lobby app and always have a 40% off coupon on hand. I really love all their religious books, mugs, signs, calendars, etc. The only reason I gave 4/5 Stars is because I don't feel like the employees are friendly. Like, there always seem to be a ton of employees stocking shelves and they never smile or say "Hi." My cashier today seemed miserable. She couldn't even smile. I actually had the thought, "I wonder if her face would crack if she tried to smile?" I asked her a question about an item being on sale and she barked that it did come up discounted. Gosh! Sorry. My mental math skills aren't the greatest. She just really was not friendly at all. I haven't met an employee there yet that was to be honest. Regardless, I will continue to shop here and look forward to my next kid-free Hobby Lobby wandering/shopping experience! read more

COMPLAINT! Midland Texas Hobby Lobby. Went to return a pattern--thought a simple procedure. Waited in line behind 2 people while 3 salespeople stood around looking or talking. THREE PEOPLE in line and 3 employees WATCHING? Get to the register and they tell me I must go to Sewing to return a pattern. I'm like what? I waited in line to find that out? Went back to sewing (no cash register) and waited for a clerk to INITIAL my pattern? I'm like what? That's it? Then go back to stand in line again to return! I wanted to support local businesses, but that is RIDICULOUS! I will now SHOP ONLINE and NOT NOT NOT at Hobby Lobby! You people are ridiculous and have lost my business. HORRIBLE customer service. Hobby Lobby is a great store for shopping interior home decor and other crafts and hobby supplies at discounted rates. At Hobby Lobby, there are main categories that are on sale at 50% off every week, and then the week after these go on regular price and other categories go on the same sale of 50% off. Other than that there is a weekly coupon code that can be found on the website and gives a 40% discount for any single item that is not on sale, and this is best used for furniture items that are usually 30% off, so they add the 10% off if you provided the coupon code for the week. The items in the store could be mostly unique and can not be usually found on the shelves of Walmart or Target or other stores, and this is what I like about it. Price wise you could find some great finds and some others are alright. I highly recommend this store, it stands as a good choice for shopping for your home interior and exterior as well. read more

This is a great craft and decor store! Sales are fabulous, and if you are patient, you will find what you want at 50% off. The selection is excellent, and they cover nearly every category of craft and hobby available. Employees are generally very helpful and go out of their way to assist customers. If there is a question, managers are readily available. They have a weekly coupon which can be found online and shown on your phone or printed off to use. I have shopped at Hobby Lobby for years, and I am a loyal customer. read more

I highly recommend Hobby Lobby's framing department. The employees (Dee and Becky, specifically) are super friendly and do a terrific job! You could tell they were swamped but they took the time to help each customer until he/she was as happy as a clam! Myself included. I will definitely be back! read more
