my husband asked 3 people for help. 2 walked away like they didn't hear him. 1 said they didn't know anything about what he was looking for. Some girl was filling out an application at 1 of the 2 registers open & at least 10 customers in line at 2 nd register. it took him fore and he left empty handed! I called corporate and the lady told me to call the store because "there's NOTHING she can do! I called the store and NOTHING! if they answer the phone they don't let you talk to the supervisor. I called corporate back & was told the same thing. I did shop there more very often and now my man doesn't even want me to go there again. I'd like to go just to talk to the supervisor but at this point I don't think it would make a difference! Very Disappointing! read more

When HL 1st opened I was so excited since it was new the area and only had heard how wonderful they are. I really like this store but feel that it is really over priced. Maybe I am cheap but somethings I find to be very expensive. I feel that most home decor is what is really priced high. But the reason I took off one start is because I heard that HOBBY lobby was a HOBBY store and crafting store. The one in our aera doesn't have much HOBBY in store. Sure there is a hand full of items for sewing and papermaking BUT there isn't much other crafting stuff. SO MUCH home decor, mirrors, wall art and etc. Maybe, I miss understood the HOBBY in the lobby.. unless buying overpriced wall art is your hobby (sorry couldn't help myself). One thing to note is that HL is always clean and staff is always helpful. I do like to stop by every few months, but make sure to check online coupons and only shop when things are heavily discounted. read more

While I prefer Michaels or Joanns to get my craft and fabric items from, Hobby Lobby is a nice middle ground that carries all the odds and ends you might need. They have a large seasonal section that changes on the holidays coming up, home goods/furniture/signage for any room in your home, a decent fabric section, mixed odds and ends for crafts, kid crafts, and a model/gundam section with all kinds of tools. The last part is what really impressed me this past weekend. We're running a workshop this weekend on building Gundam kits and got notice our shop wouldn't get our order to us on time. Cue a hectic day trip around central PA trying to find enough kits to run the workshop. The Customer service manager at this store was stellar. She listed several stores we could try to find more kits and even said she would give us a rain check to honor their sale price for the kits, should we need to come back the next week for more kits. The way she went above and beyond for us was greatly appreciated. We were able to get enough kits to run our workshop but she cut our work in half with the help! read more

I am in this store probably once a week. The manager, Jane who stands upfront sees me in there. Went in today to see if the snowman who was priced at $175 (way overpriced), was on sale. There was one left so I grabbed him. Upon getting to the cash register, I noticed he was missing a button and a chuck of the red berries was broken off. The cashier also pointed it out and called Jane the manager over to ask if it could be disconnected. She abruptly said, no, they are already on clearance. I said, but it's defective and she just walked away. I called Hobby Lobby's headquarters and that person said she would call the store, but it's at the discretion of the manager. She called and she still said, no. What really annoys me is the cashier said, too bad the other manager is not here, she would have given you a discount. Bottom line is the manager, Jane sees me in there quite a bit and if it was store policy that they could not discount defective marked down merchandise, that would be one thing, but being that it is the manager's discretion and she see me in there as a loyal customer, guess what, Jane, JoAnn Fabrics and crafts is in the same parking lot and Michael's Craft store is right across the street of which I will now be a loyal customer of those stores and will not shop at Hobby Lobby anymore!!! read more

Let me start by saying I am a huge Hobby Lobby fan. I have shopped at Hobby Lobby stores in multiple states for many years so I think you can trust my review. I have fought the urge many times after leaving this location to post a review but I stop myself because of I don't like to be negative, but today was the final straw. You may ask why I continue to return if I have such issues. I come back because it is the best stocked store in the area by far. My number one complaint is the management. On multiIple occasions when the lines have been very long she and on occasions they, just stand there chatting while customers wait for other employees to join the cashiers. The manager is also rude to her employees. The few young men who work there are so helpful and polite. They take extra care to wrap your purchases securely. Now today's issue. I was there for a specific item which I had found. I was just browsing the aisle and I saw the employees rearranging the fall decor I asked if she had any guesses when it would go down to 66%? She said "Nope, no clue" I said "Oh ok, just thought I'd ask" I had only made it to the next aisle when I heard the employee talking bad about me for asking to the other employee!! Seriously! I couldn't believe they were blatantly talking bad about a customer just for asking a question. So the bottom line if you shop here just be prepared for an unpleasant customer service experience. A well stocked store and more inventory than other Hobby Lobby stores in the area but they need a lot of work starting with Management! I hope the young men I mentioned earlier last and aren't tainted by the other negative employees. Now if they would stop selling stuff made in China that would be really awesome!! But that's a battle for another day. read more

not much of a hobby shop unless you consider arts and crafts hobbies. Not much here for the guys folks. just another arts and crafts store. to the guys a hobby shop is planes, trains, models, RC toys, rockets etc. this is just another AC Moore or Joanne Fabrics. if you are a guy into crafts or a lady this is the ideal place for you but for the rest of us... yawn... I will pass on scrap booking and arts and crafts. the store is nice inside so 2 stars. read more

I love needle crafts, especially crochet. So, I was very excited to get a huge Hobby Lobby! The store is enormous, but the needle craft section is minuscule. Notions are almost non-existent. Yarn other than the store brand is almost non-existent, too. Patterns are in a different corner of the store. There's no books or magazines, only a small selection of booklets. Prices are average to high (mostly high.) The only good thing I can say is that I MIGHT be able to find odd colors or textures. Out of our 5 craft stores, this will be my last choice for projects. read more

This store definitely has a plethora of products. My issue is with customer service. I was looking for a specific item and searched the store from on end to the other. During that time I did not see one store employee on the floor. I have never encountered this issue with any other craft store in this area. read more
