Sometimes they would have a table outside the entrance providing sample of cinnamon struesel cake. So cozy and cute. Also miss the Sample House that was located near Northpark Shopping Center; that Sample House had their adorable Soup Shop inside. We always liked to sit at the table in front of the pie safe cabinet near the entrance. Thank you for such good memories.

I was very impressed with the children's Halloween book selections here. And their displays were true visions that would make any child happy. I also like all the extras offered - like little ghost coin purses that look like the ones from the early 20s. You know what I'm talking about, little beaded coin purses with a little fringe Om the bottom. But with ghosts in them. lol! The people working there were happy, and that says a lot about a store to me. I asked a few questions and they were very knowledgeable and quickly answered my questions with confidence. It was a great experience and there were many people buying books early in the morning. It's a great way to start your day.

I love their displays and the ambience of the store a lot! Always helpful and congenial is the staff! A wide selection of gifts to choose from - nothing I wouldn't like receiving myself! And, best of all - they gift wrap whatever bought beautifully! I am looking forward in visiting it and find that perfect gift for that specific special occasion again soon! Cheers!

I created a registry online for a bridal shower but with limited options online (which I have no problem with), I thought it would be beneficial for me to go in person to add items or at least create a list of recommended items to facilitate the gift-buying process for my guests. When I went into the store, one of the women at the register could not have seemed more displeased or bothered to be helping me. She was irritated that I had created an online registry in the first place and that I was in on a Saturday without an appointment. I reiterated that the intent of my visit was simply to add a few items, not to choose China and table placements (which of course would take much more of their time and attention). Neither women offered to help me (they weren't helping anyone else) but told me to just come back on Monday and to call the girl who is in charge of registries. I left completely amazed at the clear lack of interest to help me (or at least attempt to be nice and apologetic for not being able to help me), the rudeness, and the absolutely poor customer service. Madison has the cutest things (hence why I was going to register there) but unfortunately, because of this experience, will be very hesitant to return.

I found the cards hard to browse because they were overlapping due to the large volume of product. The stock went up to the ceiling in most parts of the store, which was impossible to reach or look at. There were a decent amount of staff members working, but they didn't make much conversation with us. Although, they did provide a free gift at check out. The pricing was one of the most difficult parts of the store. There were many items I liked, but I did not feel the pricing was on par with other stationery store I've been to locally. A pack of 10 gift tags was $13 and a pack of 8 mini cards was $25. I would be expecting about $10 lower on both items. Just something to note when you come to shop. It seems like the store might offer custom stationery, but staff did not talk much to us or offer any information about the store.

The owner of this store sold my wife a new Tonies box that was just released. The owner blatantly lied, saying that she was the only store that carries the newer boxes. I don't know why a business owner would intentionally deceive customers, especially about something that was easily proven wrong. We try to support small businesses as much as we can, and this kind of dishonesty hurts, and is what I'd expect from a big box toy store. Suffice it to say we won't be shopping there again.
