Dr. Kelley is the most kind and giving man I've ever met…read more 30 years ago, he and his wife sponsored my family from Vietnam. They didn't know who we were, but wanted to help. They saved our lives. Despite having 3 kids of their own, they adopted an orphan from Vietnam. And since sponsoring us, they have sponsored 4 other families from Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia. I don't know if you all know what a burden it is to sponsor a family. You are physically and finanacially responsible for these people until they can get on their feet. It's easier said than done. Just imaginge a whole family of strangers (who don't speak your language) living with you. They have opened up their hearts and their home for people in need. And for the past 23 years, Dr. Kelley has been traveling to Haiti ( a place in political turmoil) twice a year to work in the local hospital and help with the local orphans. He and his wife will be traveling there next year to also help reform the educational system. What a truly wonderful man! If you live in this area, is there any doubt as to which doctor you should see?

I'm surprised that no one else has reviewed Dr. Kelly. Maybe because us Yelpers tend to be younger…read moreand don't tend to go to doctors that often... but I feel Dr . Kelley needs to be recognized as a great Dr. as well as a humanitarian. It does not surprise me to see what Tu D. wrote about Dr. Kelley, I knew that he went to Haiti twice a year and that he had adopted a child from Vietnam but the sponsorship of families was something I didn't know about, but that really doesn't surprise me.... I've had Dr. Kelly as my PCP for a few years now and have always found him to be an incredibly caring individual who also is a really good, practical, doctor. don't expect a lot of bells and whistles when you go to his office, in fact he will probably complain to you about how the "damn computers" are making his life as a doctor a living hell... Do expect to find someone who will listen to you, treat you as an expert in your own care, and work with you to fix whatever is broken. He doesn't automatically reach for the prescription pad, but may just tell you why your mom was right about chicken soup is good for you when you have a cold and the science behind it.... I would strongly recommend that anyone go to see Dr. Kelley, being a good guy goes a long way in being a good doctor... and he's a great guy.

I had to leave 2 days early so they owe me $1000 for the 2 days I didn't stay. . I discussed this with the counselor Sam before I left and she assured me I would receive a credit back on my charge card. It's March 8th, I called 2x already and I haven't received my money yet. COVID was infecting all the patients too . If you tested positive they would pack you up and send you home or to a hotel .Their were 4 patients on my unit when I l was there. You didn't get much from a place with 4 people in a group and group lasted a hot 20 minutes tops. You didn't hear that experience strength and hope. I'm so disappointed . At this point I want all my money back.

Don't go there if you need help with treatment for opioids. There is basically no treatment given…read morein Adcare of Rhode Island. Definitely don't go there if you have children and need to leave early for any reason. The won't take any measures to know you or your situation and will immediately call social services. Unfortunately these places we seek for help, sometimes cause much more harm then good. Please be aware. Again absolutely no treatment for opiods. They will say they detox you on methadone and they do,but they start you at a bullshit 30 mgs and cut you down 10 mgs a day. Comfort meds are nonexistent. There's no treatment for any anxiety or any outside issues not immediately associated with detox but may be the reason your using. Such as mental illness or extreme PTSD. Good luck to anyone that goes there for opiod treatment.
