I don't have high blood pressure or diabetes as I am pretty healthy for an overweight adult. He continually recommended that I read a book that he used to lose weight. He did this regularly without any consideration of me being on every diet as well as having two gastric surgeries. I didn't need a book referral. I had extreme pain in my left arm due to tennis elbow. I told him of the pain and his response to me was "I will look at your arm once you've lost some weight!" I was horrified by his reply as I left the building. I had gone back to him for a follow up visit & told him about my arm again. He then gave me a Cortizone injection without x-rays of the arm, no counseling regarding exercises or supports to be used to help alleviate the arm pain. I told him that his comment during my last visit was unprofessional and I didn't appreciate it. He had no response or apology for me as he just remained silent! If you are overweight, don't go see Dr Rocha! I wont be back to be fat shamed by him or for subpar medical care.

Prov that these folks deserve a YELP review. Dr. Meyers himself is an amazingly caring concerned physician that I think he is an anomaly in this age of insurance controlled business models. The group as a whole is very attentive and flexible with a common sense approach to health care. The nurse practitioners are readily available and the group even has a walk in open 7 days a week.

She can handle any general practitioner issues as well as gynecological screenings. This is a small practice so you must have patience when your ailment isn't an emergency, but I have always found the doctor and staff to be great at taking time to talk to the patient and really get to the root of problems. If you are looking for a FaceTime appointment with an automated script machine-type practice, keep looking.....these are not your people! I am so glad to have found a great personal physician right between work and home! He tries to be as flexible as possible!!! He's bilingual. EXCELLENT HIPPA knowledge. His staff has NEVER just disclosed any info what so ever. They're like family at this point!! Getting appointments with the practice has been notably smooth throughout my time with them; the staff is willing to work with you based on your needs and clinician availability. I've also enjoyed seeing a few of the other practice members (eg Benitez, Berg, Rodriguez), each of whom is thorough, knowledgeable, and helpful. The use of the Healow medical app as a portal, and their fully integrated connectivity to electronic medical record systems, has given me peace of mind that all my instances of care are suitably connected in one place. It's also convenient to be able to head downstairs for a quick and easy blood draw when required - and again, clear results are available in the app shortly thereafter. I've also noticed the patient set is younger than it used to be - not just geriatrics anymore. As important as anything above, Dr Ruggieri is friendly and engaged during visits, as the rest of the staff I've dealt with are also. I definitely have a "medical home" at Wayland Medical.
