Capital Hill Health Center, a community health center located on Candace Street, Providence, RI…read more This health center is located in an urban neighborhood not too far from the Providence, RI state capital building. I have been going here since 1996 off and on. I would say that this medical facility primarily caters to the un-insured, under-insured, and to people with the state insurance. Although I have been going there off and on for approximately 17 years, I did not use them whenever I had private insurance. The doctors there for the most part were good, and caring, but they often don t stay long. At least this has been my experience with my primary care physician. The center is very small, and understaffed. Therefore it is almost impossible to get an appointment when you really need one. And the primary care physicians and gynocologists do not work every day. For example, my pcp doctor is only available on Tues and Thursday and you have to call in on that same day about an hour before they open, and it becomes a lottery so to speak on who will get seen that day. They can only see a certain amount of people, so if you are not quick draw mcgraw and one of the first people to get through on the phone, you can forget it, you will not be seen that day, even if it is a medical emergency! The center does have an excellent GYN department, also pedicatrics and adult internal medicine. They also have a dentist for kids I guess, but not for adults. The parking space is very limited and is a tight squeeze everytime I have been there. The staff is friendly, and they do speek other languages, such a spanish, because that is the majority of clientel that go there. If you don t have any insurance at all, they do have a sliding scale that they use. This is what I use because I don t work, and my husband works only part time and doesn t have a large income. So they are good about that. But really, I would not recommend going to Capital Hill Health Center under any circumstances if you have private healthcare insurance.

Dr. Behtash was recommended to me by my doctor at Memorial Hospital, Dr. Susanna Magee - who was my doctor for both of my pregnancies. I enjoyed Dr Magee's style, ease of emailing communication, and asked for her to recommend a local provider to be my regular physician. Dr. Behtash runs a micro office, which allows her to spend a ton more time with her patience -- you set up your appointments, and even email her through an app or online. This helps because she is the one who writes back to you - not a nurse! My first visit with her was about an hour. She took the time to truly understand me and my history, and has been incredibly kind at subsequent visits. She is young, knowledgable, warm, and welcoming - and I 100% recommend her to others! My husband just made the switch, and he said the quality of care was unlike anything he had ever experienced. And the best part - barely any waiting for my appointment!
