The staff was friendly and the service good,…read morethough I was a bit miffed that my party of two was seated at the bar though at least one two person table remained open throughout our meal. The thin-style pizza was reasonably priced and very tasty. The only complaint about the food I have is that although the edge of the crust was crispy, the bottom was pure chewiness. Of course, this could be a matter of preference, but I like it crispy just on the bottom shell, so that it can be folded and retain some form, while still having some chewiness. The manager was receptive to comment, and I will definitely be returning!

I have eaten here many times over the years and the food is really good. They do some good authentic dishes and everything is bursting with flavour. The tandoori mixed grill is one of my favourites in here. The staff are friendly and the service is very good. Considering the quality of the food it is reasonably priced.

Just off the Wanstead station on the Central line, it's worth a visit even if you don't live here. They do a brisk takeaway/delivery business, but it's a comfortable place to dine in, with excellent service. Ask for a recommendation -- the staff is proud of their food. We've had lamb and chicken dishes. The lamb shank was memorable. It's what brought us back after our first visit. The chicken shaktora is also delicious, though it might be even better with dark meat than breast meat. Just a thought. It was great.

This was an accidental find! We were hungry and it was late. We knew we wanted kebab. We googled…read moreit, and Faanoos was the closest of the three. So we walked from the hotel expecting to do a ToGo order. We were immediately greeted by a very cheerful and polite gentleman who welcomed us in, accompanied by the warm clay bread oven that sits by the front door. We decided to stay. The ambiance was amazing - it was like stepping into another world. Finally the food. Mind you I was on the hunt for a £5-£6 kebab that I could take to the hotel for a late night "snack". Not an £11 kebab. But, we weren't heading back we were sitting in. So we ordered the minced lamb kebab with hummus and it was worth EVERY bit! Delicious! I highly recommend Faanoos!

I seem to have developed an unhealthy obsession with Persian food!…read more We decided to try this place after reading about it in Time Out, and it didn't disappoint. If you're standing in front of Faanoos then you have a choice of two other Persian restaurants within walking distance: There's Chella down the road (near the GBK end of Chiswick), which has a more Western atmosphere, and service, and excellent food. Then there's Rice, which is literally across the road from Faanoos. Even though the service is very good at Rice, I prefer the food at Chela and Faanoos. Things that are most popular at Persian restaurants are the Makhsoos, and the Chicken grill. All starters are worth a try. If you're not a grill fan then there are other dishes you can choose from. If you're walking past between 12-6pm then you can stop and have their Chicken or Lamb sandwich for £3.80, wrapped in their freshly made bread. And no, I don't work for them!! If the weather's good then I usually sit outside and have a Persian tea, or a Persian ice cream while I'm waiting for my sandwich! Enjoy!
